If you look at their yelp page, Google page, and website- it says they close at 11pm on Saturdays. I understand if I showed up at 10:30 or later but I feel like turning me and my 1 guest away 50 minutes before closing was a bit ridiculous. It's not like I rolled in with a party of 6 plus. It's not the fact that we got turned away, it's the fact that nowhere on any of their pages does it mention that if you show up 50 minutes before closing you'll be turned away, it seems a little misleading to put your closing time at 11pm and turn people away 10 minutes past 10. This forced me and my guest to scramble and look for another place to eat

I have subscribed to other CSF and Sea Forager is by far the best. I have a "Neptune's Delight"…read moresubscription for 2 people every other week. I love the packaging, and the fact that fish is on ice rather than surrounded by those frozen plastic packets (which end up in the landfill). The fish is packaged in environmental "friendly" bags rather than in plastic. They also deliver at the beginning of the pickup period (i.e. The pickup range is 3:30-8pm, and it's at my pickup point at 3:30). That is different than other CSF who deliver sometime within their published pickup period. Now about their seafood. It has been nice to get clean cut fish, not something that looks like it was hacked from a larger fish. Everything is fresh. They send you an email letting you know what you'll receive. They also have recipes. The last item I received was 4.5 dozen mussels! I look forward to doing business with them for the foreseeable future. Just an aside. My daughter took a sea foraging tour with Kirk in 2012. She raved about how knowledgeable he was and recommended him to me. I, unfortunately, did not follow through. I found Kirk just by chance when the person whose home is used for deliveries asked, on NextDoor, who might be interested in a fresh fruit CSA. I'm glad I did.

I was at first concerned that it would be another overpriced tourist trap, but it exceeded my expectations in every way. Located in the Ferry Building, this seafood restaurant specializes in simple made-to-order fresh seafood dishes. Customers order at the counter, and food will be delivered to your seat when ready. I tried both the sashimi seafood bowl and the catch of the day. I was blown away by the freshness of the seafood and the healthy yet delicious side items. The wait time for the entrees was less than 10 minutes. As for the ambiance and service, the restaurant is fast paced and seats do get occupied quickly during busy hours. There is complimentary water at the a station nearby, and clean utensils are located in each table. My cost for each visit was very reasonable at $35 to $50. With the level of freshness of the seafood, it was absolutely bang for the buck for a SF location. Highly recommend and will return.
