Came on a Friday night around 6:30pm with reservations but surprisingly wasn't busy! Started to pick up though as we were finishing up. The inside was super cute and had a lot of seating. The staff was very kind. The food overall was SO good. It was the perfect amount of flavor, with generous portions for a good price. I'm surprised this place isn't as busy as it should be! I would 100% recommend to everyone. I will be coming back here all the time!

Cute tropical vibe inside! Service was great, everyone was very nice and the food came out quickly. Food was good, recommend the green curry and the pad kee mow. The medium is definitely on the spicier side so if you can handle spice go with the mild.

Food Rating: 7.5/10 Price: 9/10 Ambiance/Service: 10/10 Overall Rating: 8.8/10 The interior of this restaurant is very well decorated and clean. It would be a great spot for a cute date night! The food is pretty good and priced well. The service was great, our water glasses were never empty! Fresh Rolls - $7 (HR) Rating: (6/10) Beautifully presented with a flavorful peanut sauce. However, since the sauce seemed to contain fish sauce, it may not actually be vegan-friendly as marked. My vegetarian friend didn't mind, but worth noting. I also would have preferred larger tofu pieces and less lettuce. Spring Rolls - $7 (HR) Rating: (9/10) These were very crunchy and the sauce paired perfectly with it. Super worth the happy hour price! Crab Meat Fried Rice - $28 Rating: (9/10) I really enjoyed this dish. The rice was well cooked with a good amount of crab meat in the dish. The presentation was clean and the sauce that came with it cut out any residual fishy taste. Yellow Curry - $21 Rating: (6/10) Good flavor but much too soupy for a curry. If cooked longer, the potatoes could have helped thicken it and improve the consistency. Pad Thai - $18 Rating: (7/10) Solid dish that was flavored well, though the chicken strips were slightly overcooked. Margarita - $10 (HR) Rating: (8/10) Mixed well but wasn't that strong.

Relatively newer spot on Polk that is really beautiful inside and hopefully becomes more popular! They have a great variety of Thai dishes that are pretty authentic and can be very spicy. I think they have great happy hour deals until 7pm which is later than most on Polk so I've really enjoyed coming for that. Good wine and beer selection and appetizers on that menu. I also got their tom kha soup last time that was so delicious. The waitresses are attentive and polite and everything comes out quickly! Definitely recommended

Truly an underrated spot on Polk St. The food here is delicious and prepared beautifully. Service is quick and friendly. I've sat at the bar before and was welcomed by Chef Kobe himself! Great people and great food. Would recommend!

I came to Fin Thai SF for my friend's birthday dinner and it was delicious. The food was very fresh, the presentation was well curated, and the flavors rich and inviting. I also loved the interior of the restaurant, it was very clean and aesthetic! We got seated right away (we did have a reservation, though) and the service was very speedy. The waiter was very patient with us, we had a group of 8+ and a lot of us had came later etc. It was a great experience and I recommended Fin Thai to my coworkers who are from out of town!

Tried out this Thai spot on Polk which turned out to be pretty quiet on a Friday night! Managed to get there for happy hour beers and light bites which were great and really good value. We then did family style of their food and it was a bit hit or miss with the dishes. Some stuff was good but other things were a bit on the sweeter side and not necessarily that authentic tasting. Really nice ambience however with really good service and decor!

My favorite Thai restaurant in San Francisco. The staff are so nice and the food is just amazing. The decoration is such a vibe good I brought my friends and they loved it. I really enjoy the seafood dishes, the pad kee mao and the crying tiger steak. I live in the mission and this place is definitely worth the drive I can't wait to come back

I would say that Fin Thai probably takes home the title of my favorite Thai restaurant in SF. Visited on a Saturday night with 3 of my other friends and I really loved the interior of the restaurant. It was full of nice decor and super spacious. The staff here were great and provided pretty speedy service. The food definitely lived up to the hype. We started off with the chicken satay and spring rolls. I loved their presentation of the dishes and how much flavor the peanut sauce for the satay had especially. The green curry also stood out to me with its perfectly balanced sweet to savory ration. Portion sizes were pretty solid for the price, I would definitely return!

Wow! This restaurant was much more than I expected. First of all, I have to say that I was mesmerized by the beautiful interior decor, which made me feel like I was on vacation. We were originally lured into this restaurant because of the Pad Thai Tuesday special, which is such a phenomenal deal. I wanted to try it out, and wasn't expecting much, but we were definitely surprised with the quality and portion size of this $10 special meal! I can definitely say it was one of the best Pad Thai dishes I've ever had. The fried cuttlefish appetizer was also very tasty. I also recommend a glass of their champagne which tasted like it was fruit infused. Overall, it was a very pleasant experience, and we will definitely be coming back for more!

Amazing modern Thai restaurant! If you were in Bangkok eating a modern Thai place, this is exactly how it would be. Chef/owner Kobe and their staff is amazing at executing their dishes. Everything was very flavorful and reminds me exactly of food in Thailand. Service is great and everyone is very attentive. Decor is amazing inside. Personally, i would pick this place over Farmhouse and OSHA. I don't get the hype on Farmhouse. Must haves at this place are the Wing Sap, steamed fish, and duck curry. With such an extensive menu, there are many more options to try. Will be coming back regularly.

Stumbled across this modern Thai restaurant restaurants on NYE and decided to give it a shot (During happy hour). I understand that the price point for restaurants on Polk street is pretty high, just a bit disappointed by the food that we received. The flavors were ok, nothing to write home about, and the individual dishes themselves were a bit difficult to eat. We ordered the grilled squid and the naked shrimp $8 each from the happy hour menu. The portion size was very small, but the naked (raw) shrimp with its house crack sauce is quite unique so that was somewhat worth the $8! The morning glory veggies, were just alright, and felt very difficult to justify its price point ($17) For entree, we got the duck curry ($29). Had to order sticky rice separately ($4) for the curry, but it came in a very small fist size portion size, and wasn't enough to eat along with the curry. Otherwise we thought the duck was well seasoned, and the duck portion size was generous. The curry was very creamy and had a nice kick, but wish there was more complexity. We also got the river prawn tum yum ($39). While visually impressive, i personally felt that getting down and dirty to crack the prawns open detracted away from the experience of enjoying the soup. Otherwise, the soup tasted how Tom yum should taste like. One last thing is that the general user experience was weirdly very frustrating. We got sat in one of those small middle tables, where it felt like a Tetris game trying to fit our dishes onto the table, and it was very hard to maneuver around while eating. The lighting was also so incredibly dim, so much so that we had to stack the table lamp on top of our sticky rice container to be able to see our food.

I really liked Fin Thai! The interior is a really cute fusion of modern and traditional thai aesthetic. The food was also amazing! The young coconut was really sweet and refreshing and all the dishes we ordered were delicious. I really liked the pad see ew because it had that charred wok taste iykyk. It says the soup is spicy but honestly it wasn't too bad because it was creamy. The also have happy hour from 5-7 and I'll definitely be coming back to try it!

Shortly after, a friend who was already inside came out simply to check on us and see why we were still outside. The bartender then told her to "get the f*ck out of my face" and instructed staff not to let her or us in, even though my friend hadn't done anything wrong. It was so confusing and extremely inappropriate. The behavior was unnecessarily hostile and disrespectful. This bar does not treat its customers with basic courtesy, and that bartender showed zero professionalism or customer service skills.

It was founded by Anton "Tony" Nikitovich and quickly became a gathering place for the neighborhood's Italian and Croatian communities, where people came to swap stories, argue politics, and enjoy a stiff drink after a long day. And honestly, that tradition carried on well into the years when many of us became regulars. I hadn't been back for a few years until recently, when I decided to stop in again. The bar wasn't overly busy, but a handful of neighborhood folks were sitting at the counter, trading stories over their drinks. It felt instantly familiar. Not much has changed since the early 2000s when I used to come here regularly, and that's exactly what makes Tony Nik's special. Step inside, and it still feels like a mid-century film set: tufted leather seating, a long wooden bar that's seen nearly a century of San Francisco history, and that iconic neon sign glowing outside. While much of the city has reinvented itself again and again, Tony Nik's somehow held onto its soul. It's a grown-up bar without being stuffy, no loud club music, no trendy gimmicks, just well-made cocktails, a classic jukebox, and an atmosphere that feels earned rather than manufactured. The bar stayed in the Nikitovich family for decades, and the current owners were wise enough to preserve both the name and the vintage character Tony originally created. It's one of those rare places that reminds you what North Beach used to be, and, thankfully, still is.
