Very subpar, I've been here before and it's been fairly good - this time it was pretty bad. Went in the middle of the day, 3 PM, and they still had the brunch menu out which isn't too terrible, but I would've assumed we'd move past brunch at three. Nothing seemed appetizing, i'm not really Super excited about eggs at 3 o'clock in the afternoon, or French toast, or pancakes, or eggs, Benedict, or anything else that's on the breakfast menu at 3 PM in the afternoon. So I had to pick the next thing that wasn't a breakfast item, at 3 PM in the afternoon - the Nashville hot chicken sandwich, which was actually worse than I could've gotten at Chick-fil-A. So paying for an overpriced hot chicken, which really should've been advertised as a half hot chicken half breading sandwich because the majority of it was just the breading. In the middle of the day, you would've also expected the service to be a little bit better given that you have the staff from brunch and lunch, and before dinner, but most of the staff was just standing around. I'll have to say our waiter was good, but he was covering every table, while the others were just watching him. All in all I think I'll pass my baton to the next person to go here because this was the last straw and I will not come back and I wouldn't advise you to waste your money either to pay $20 for a hot chicken sandwich you can get a Chick-fil-A for five that is 10 times better. read more

Tasso stuffed potato and side salad Steak came out well done. So we hate to complain but sent to back. 30 minutes later. No steak. Our friends had eaten their meal. Our waiter was amazing John Marc. Called over the manger. Who said all the right words hit with no follow thru. They did take off $110 for steak. But we literally had half a potato -to be clear the potato was a half so we had 1/4 each-and side salad which we split. And they gave us. 20 gift card. But we still Left paying $100. 2 cocktails - glass of Prosecco and a beer -split a baked potato and side salad. In the interest of being fair no issue paying for our drinks. And they were good. But we never would have orders sides w no steak. Oh and they offered free dessert which they ran out of Never again. The worst. read more

Our server was great. The food was not. $100 dry aged Wagyu ribeye was like a Kroger steak drenched in butter and oil. No sear. No seasoning except overwhelming salt. While visiting Nashville for a very quick business trip, and wanting to avoid the city, we searched and found what seemed to be a nice place. Upon entering, we were greeted nicely and walked right to our charming booth. However, it was ice cold and the AC was blowing way, way too cold. When our server finally came to our table (which was a good 5-6 minutes in an almost empty restaurant), my husband asked for a blanket and no ice with his water. We mentioned this to 4 people but wound up keeping ourselves warm with the 700° Salt Block appetizer. Four things my husband wanted to order were all out which was disappointing. It was necessary to finally move our seats since both our noses were running. The next seat somehow was colder than the last. We laughed and tried to get through it. Upon arrival of our meals, the server, which by the way did not write anything down, delivered my shrimp and grits which were fantastic, however the filet mignon given to my husband was not what he ordered. Passing on making the correct prime rib, my husband said he would take the filet. But, after cutting into it, it was completely cold and raw inside, so it was returned as we awaited the correct prime rib. The server was very polite and apologetic, and I think we spoke to the manager 3-4 times who was also polite, but whoever is in charge/owns the establishment really needs to step back and take a real good look at what's going on here. We were given free dessert, which was limited and not inclusive of the menu choices, and settled in the blueberry cobbler. It was made in a skillet and good top with vanilla ice cream. The place is beautiful and really has a nice vibe but I cannot imagine the restaurant is making any money to continue to stay in business. read more

Very solid place. Great atmosphere! Had dinner as part of a private party. Service was attentive, not the best service I've had at a restaurant of this caliber but was fine. Wine choices were good but heard a couple of folks were disappointed that their beer choice was out of stock. If you're a foodie, you have to try this place. Food is off the charts. Such great flavors. They really put some thought in preparing your food. The place is very cozy. Went in for lunch we both had the fish & chips. The fish was good, however the batter was soggy in some places. Probably because someones bright idea was to sprinkle the coleslaw over the top of the fish and chips. This also made the duck fat fries soggy too. Regarding the duck fat fries, what a let down. If I could rate a 0 I would. We found this place several years ago by accident and it was delightful, superb service and food with impeccable drinks. I hate to say that we have been back 3 times since then as we drove all the way from Hendersonville to come. Each time gets worse and worse. Each time we have been: 1- food is cold 2- service is just mediocre (one visit the lady was in appropriate referencing the half chicken as the size of her breasts) 3 - how can you be out of biscuits every time as you serve biscuits for 90% of your brunch menu 4 - your espresso machine has been out of service both today and the last time we were there 5 - after ordering servers come out and inform you that half of the items that come with with meal and are noted as such on the menu, you are out of during prime dinner service hours Needless to say we will not be coming back as we have tried multiple times and same horrible food and service. read more

We had heard great things and decided to give Honeysuckle a shot to celebrate some great work wins. Unfortunately we wish we had gone somewhere else. Our sever was nice but took forever to greet us and then was slow throughout our meal. We had the charcuterie board which was good but it took an hour to get our entrees. We were prepared for a nice leisurely dinner with cocktails but had empty glasses most of the time. After about 90 minutes our entries arrived. I ordered the pork shank and my boyfriend got the dry aged waygu steak and Mac and cheese. His steak was cold and flavorless, as were my grits and pork. He didn't get his Mac until well after he was finished with his steak. Overall lackluster. We will not be back read more

I met a friend for lunch here last week. Restaurant wasn't busy and we were immediately seated (I'm not sure why we were put in a huge circular booth with 2 people but no biggie). I ordered the fish and chips and my friend ordered the burger. The fish and chips said that it was beer battered but it wasn't like any other I've had. Kind of heavy and seemed to have cornmeal in it. Might not have been bad but it was past the point of golden brown so it was more hard than crisp. The breading also fell of which means the fish was wet when it was battered. The fries were a bit greasy and there wasn't slaw but rather a few shreds of cabbage on top. My friend's burger was good and we split a dessert. Honeysuckle pie. Very good and rich with a cup of coffee. The service was great and the server was friendly and knowledgeable. Went here once for drinks and loved the atmosphere. Made a reservation another day for brunch. They open at 10 AM but doors were locked. After finally getting someone's attention after 10 minutes they had the courtesy to at least open the door a crack and say they had decided to open later that day. One of the best places we've had since we've moved to Nashville a year and a half ago! My fiancé and I ordered the deviled eggs, the dry aged wagyu salt stone, the wagyu burger and their catch of that day which was cod and last but certainly not least, the banana pudding. We have always loved this restaurant...until today. My husband and I went for an early lunch and were one of only two or three tables at that early lunch hour. The waitress was pleasant and offered her suggestions on the menu. Everything was fine until our food was delivered. I ordered a shrimp po boy, and when I opened the bun there were 5 shrimp. It didn't even fill half the baguette. When the waitress returned I explained that my sandwich was a little light on shrimp and asked if it would be possible to get a few more, otherwise I was literally eating all baguette. She took the plate without a word but instead sneered and rolled her eyes and walked off. My husband and I looked at each other in shock. I wish I was exaggerating her reaction but she literally rolled her eyes while standing next to the table and stalked off. Then we could hear her at the bar complaining about my request. She brought my plate back and said they were working on the shrimp. A manager brought a saucer with three shrimp and handed it to me without saying sorry or anything of a conciliatory nature. When it was a time for the check the waitress was short and far from pleasant. We quickly paid and left, disappointed to have had such a terrible experience at one of our favorite restaurants. read more

Came here for a quick lunch on a weekday. We got seated right away. Didn't order any appetizers this time. I got the chicken fried chicken with the tomato bacon gravy and it was really good. And my boyfriend got the hot fish and chips which was a smaller portion than what we were use to but it was good too. Enough to fill him up. I was dissapointed that took the fruit tea off their menu though. This was my second time here and the first time I had their brunch so I really wanted to try their lunch and we are glad we did. Went back and tried this place because we hadn't been there in years after the first disappointing visit. It continues to disappoint. SLOOOOOOOOWWWWW. Took forever to get drinks or anything. The food took hours and remains very over priced for what you get. The fish was ok. There was a horrible cold corn glaze with it. The steaks that some people got in our group were a joke. $50 for a piece of meat that looked like what you'd get at the Sizzler. The staff there seemed miserable. We were in a room next to where the food was coming out and the person expediting was very negative and they couldn't wait to just get it over with. It's a shame. It's a nice place with a very nice bar. But even the bartenders seemed like they were miserable and could care less. read more

Server: Adam was excellent (he only missed one item out of our entire meal) he knew all the menu items and specials and asked the right questions to improve our decision making. Considering the number of tables he was serving one missed item isn't bad. Building: great lighting, Beautiful decor, awesome architecture, music just a tad loud, with the amount of sound reflective surfaces it was amplified. Food: The food looks amazing, a shame that it doesn't taste half as good as it looked. My meal was filling but the only thing about it that had taste was the gravy that it came smothered in. (Wild mushroom meatloaf) The crabcake was too salty with very little crab meat and more filler ($16.00??) The steak frit was tough and fatty although it had a good flavor. Thankfully we asked for the gravy on the side or it would have ruined it completely. The only really good dish we had out of the entire meal was the Brussels sprouts fixed with the duck fat and egg. Again thanks Adam, it was his suggestion. The entire meal for the three of us was $114.00 which included on peach Bellini. There are other restaurants in Franklin that we could have spent just as much and had a far better meal. I love to try new places and love to see new local restaurants but I'm not sure that this place will make it unless the menu improves. I mention the Peach Bellini because it was probably one of the best we have had. Not sure about the rest of the bar menu and service, but if it even comes close to that drink the bar should do well. read more

Honeysuckle has been me and my girlfriend's anniversary spot for two years now. We love the food and the service. This time we opted for take-out and a quiet night at home. They were incredibly busy (not their fault) and had misplaced our order, but the bartenders made the experience completely worth it. Our service ended up being quick, and we got to enjoy a cocktail in the meantime. I would highly recommend the ribeye and the meatloaf. We went to celebrate a birthday. Worse dinning experience we have had in a long time. For the prices one would think bread would come to the table but it did not. I ordered an appetizer and my wife a salad. Our steaks were delivered and waiter said oops he forgot the appetizer and salad so he said he would bring them. The crab cake appetizer was scorched and did. It come until after I finished by entree. The salad came half way through the meal. The reason it gets one star is because the ribeye steak and filet were prepared as ordered and delicious. Better than outback down the road but not worth the price. We will not be back. read more

The staff would absolutely get 5 stars but the food left a lot to be desired. I ordered the duck confit with Brussels and grits, as I have in the past, and what came out was horrifying. I had to process what was brought out because it looked like boiled chicken. I thought maybe they started melting cheese... ON TOP OF DUCK CONFIT???? WTH was I thinking? Even my husband knew enough to start laughing and tell the waitress this was in no way duck confit. We have had it in several different countries and it's always the same.... super crispy, beautiful brown skin with fall off the bone goodness loaded with flavor. Again, this came out looking like like raw chicken skin. They offered to take it back and redo it and have the chef come out. They did, the chef gave his explanation stating they have had so many mixed reviews (apparently some people don't know what the heck duck confit is or what it's supposed to taste like) that the owners wanted it served like this. I told chef Timmy, "thank you, you are a chef and I don't care what the owner wants, I want you to use your expertise and serve me duck confit the way you'd want it." WhT he brought out was much better but still was not what a duck confit should be. The grits and Brussels with goat cheese was amazing. Beautiful. Let's get back to the basics and learn what duck confit, a true duck confit really is. You have the potential to own it and make it great. YOU CAN DO BETTER... you have a restaurant that has the potential to be packed on a Saturday night. Yet you were basically empty. Don't let other people tell you what you believe good food should be. Apparently I'm not allowed to post a picture of what duck confit is actually supposed to look like. So we will leave it as the soggy mess it was. read more
