I bought a matched set of washer/dryer from this Home Depot brand is Samsung. I also paid additional hundreds for extended warranty. Have been a customer for over 30 years. Shortly after install the washer was malfunctioning. It was shaking so badly that anything on to went flying. I called Samsung. After weeks of waiting I was told that there are no service providers in our area. No service for two brand new machines! I called the store. They called Samsung. I started going to the laundromat. I called a regular service company in the area who came right out. They said that the bracket that holds the drum in place was broken and no parts were available for Samsung machines. Back to the store and Samsung. Home Depot would not exchange the machines for an alternate brand. Long story short Samsung finally found a new identical machine. Delivery 8 months later. Not two months later new machine same thing. I call Home Depot. The manager of the Williston VT store dismisses me like a bothersome child. Call Samsun. Do you have a direct number? No. Why does Home Depot still carry a brand that you know does not have service? She said, "Lots of stores do that." I asked how Home Depot can charge hundreds of dollars for en extended warranty that can not be used? She said, "Call Samsung." After explaining that we have been customers of Home Depot for over 30 years and am extremely disappointed, she said in the most dismissive way possible, "Is there anything else?" Seems as though there is a severe staffing challenge at this location and maybe it's a national issue. I like to chat. I like and need tools. I spoke with a young man working there, was technically in the paint dept, but helped me unlock at dewalt took....spoke to him for 10-15 min...he elaborated on the staffing challenge for me. I don't usually leave reviews, but this experience was too awful to ignore. This woman, I believe her name was Melissa, was incredibly rude and dismissive. My husband, who doesn't speak English fluently, tried to communicate with her using Google Translate and from the very start, her attitude was TERRIBLE. She made it painfully obvious that she had no interest in helping us, looking at us with annoyance as if serving us was some kind of burden. But the worst part? She thought I didn't understand English and started whispering racist and offensive remarks, mocking my husband's accent and saying things like "If they don't understand, they should go somewhere else" and "How ridiculous to use a phone to talk." Does this woman really work in customer service? It's shameful that someone with such a disgusting attitude is allowed to interact with customers. Not only was she unprofessional, but she also made the entire experience humiliating and uncomfortable. If this is how non-English speakers are treated here, management seriously needs to rethink who they hire. This deserves a ZERO STARS review.. read more

I purchased over $11,000 of flooring (including installation) from The Home Depot in Williston. The store delivered incorrect material, and was notified by the installers on the day of installation. This is the result of trying to get this resolved: Home Depot store email: I've been working on your order and I'm putting a claim through from the wrong items I'll let you know the expected time frame on that once I get that from the vendors. I'm sorry for the delay and mix up on that order. I've been working as quickly as possible to get this fixed for you. I'm the only one in the after sales department this week so I'm working through a lot of problems this week and its going a bit slower than normal because of that. I apologize about that. My response: This is a wholly unacceptable situation. While I appreciate your staffing concerns, this order was placed on 11/9/24, and was delivered on 11/25/24 for installation on 12/2/24. The installation team identified the problem on the morning of 12/2, and you should have immediately been working to rectify the vendor error and had materials reordered that day for delivery as soon as possible. I should not be asked to REPURCHASE items that I have already bought and paid for, while you wait for the vendor to make you whole. That is a HOME DEPOT problem, not a customer issue. I will NOT be paying for new Quarter Round, and I will contest any such charges should they go through. Home Depot is responsible for correcting this issue and it needs to be dealt with immediately. If you think that I should be culpable for a mistake by the vendor you work with, you are sadly mistaken. I will be writing a google review of this experience, including the multi-million dollar corporation's expectation that a customer should double pay for materials that still have not been delivered. I am also expecting somebody from Home Depot or your vendors to come collect the INCORRECT material that has been delivered. And a refund of the several boxes of unused material that was ordered and paid for, as well as the unpainted 60 feet of plain quarter round that was entirely unnecessary and that I paid for with absolutely no purpose. In the meantime, I am living in a space where all my belongings are piled in random places during the holiday season because of the incompetence of the vendors here. I can't put my furniture or belongings back into place because they will all have to be moved again to install the missing quarter round. This is absolutely absurd. I expect an URGENT resolution as I have called multiple times this week only to not have anyone call me back. I have spoken to several flooring reps, left a voicemail for you on Wednesday, and the installation team talked to Josh when this was first identified on Monday morning. DO NOT TRUST HOMEDEPOT WITH YOUR FLOORING! I cannot stress it enough we have had the absolute worst experience with Home Depot to order our flooring. We are going on 5 months with no flooring or communication. We ordered our flooring in May 2023 for the delivery and instal in June. The week of install rolls around and the installers call to confirm the flooring is there... nope I call home depot with no response, then Home Depot calls me because the installers called letting me know the flooring is on back order, something they surely knew before the week of instal but did not make us aware of. We go through the process again for delivery and install in July. July rolls around and we call regularly to confirm the flooring will actually be delivered this time. With no response from Home Depot until again the installers (American carpet, they have been great) get them to call us. The flooring is still in backorder, something they should have alerted us on way before the week of instal. We go through the process again for delivery and instal in August. August rolls around and same old same old no response from Homedepot as we try to call and email to find out the status of our flooring. The day before install was supposed to happen I get a call from a delivery driver saying they are at our house to drop off our flooring, I drive all the way home from work to confirm it is what we ordered and to no surprise. It is damaged, missing 6 pieces, and the wrong color. After calling numerous times we get in contact with the GM, she assured us they will get it all fixed and get us the correct flooring. After another 2 months of calling, emailing, going into the store to find someone the flooring finally got picked up after it sat in the rain for days as they said it would be picked up days before. Here we are 5 MONTHS LATER the flooring is paid for with our Home Depot credit card and we still have no flooring and no communication on when it will be ordered, delivered, or installed. read more

We were trying to find components to fix a water line issue & trouble shooting ideas when 2 workers walked by and looked at us the gated each end of the aisle and paced back and forth staring. After a little bit one came up and asked us to leave the aisle for 5 minutes because they had closed the aisle. Ummmmm wow no customer service, no attempt to help just an order to leave the aisle! Today, Feb 2, 2024, I went into the store to buy a 50lb bag of sand. The aisle was closed off on both ends with nobody stocking or working within. There was a Home Depot bumpkin by the closed aisle gate whom I asked how long until the aisle re-opens. The lazy, and uneducated worker couldn't muster the courtesy of turning around to face me when asked the question. "Uh, when the guy finishes loading the sheetrock pallets." There was no "guy" loading sheetrock pallets. What a sh** store... You'd think that that moronic employee would have the sense or basic courtesy to ask if he could get something for me... I contacted Home Depot in October for a Home Depot Carpet Installation. They sent someone out to do measurements and this person spent 6 hours in my house measuring the floor space. I ordered the carpet in early November and specifically ordered a carpet that was considered "in stock". They showed up two weeks later to install, just a few days before Thanksgiving. They came into our home, started to rip up the old flooring and then realized 50% of the way through the job that they did not have enough materials. They advised they would make it correct and immediately follow up with us. We spoke to the manager on the phone and they apologized and promised to correct it. They then leave with 50% of our floors uncovered and down to the subflooring all through Thanksgiving. 3 weeks later, we still have not heard from them. I call Home Depot and they advised that they didn't know the issue with the installation. This is a lie because my husband spoke with the manager. We finally speak to them and get an install date, they promise they will install it prior to Christmas. Days go by and we are advised that they will not be able to install it until January. So, Christmas is now ruined because we have to live on subflooring and are unable to host. January rolls around and they finally come to install the carpet. The installers start and brought lower-grade padding than what we ordered. We don't want to continue dealing with subflooring and keeping our child and pets safe on exposed nails and things that could hurt them with the understanding that we would get a partial refund for the subpar padding. In a rush to install the carpet, they damage our brand-new sheet rock and did not bring enough materials to finish the job, leaving us with flooring exposed and a need to schedule a 3rd installation date. 3 weeks later, the final installation is scheduled, they once again bring the wrong padding and we refuse. They come back the next day with the right type of padding and finally finish the installation. This ordeal has been absolutely awful and they have been unable to be reliable. Now, I ask for a partial refund for the delay in the installation and the subpar padding that was installed in one of my rooms. They have advised that the job is complete and they will not refund now and I should have asked for the refund before the installation was complete. I have 3 months of records between American Carpet/Home Depot and the Home Depot Social Media Team in which they tell me they do not talk about refunds until the job is completed. We are now fully installed, roughly 4 months from the original order, and not installed to the level of quality which we ordered. We are so unbelievably frustrated and I'll be contacting my credit card company to see if there are any protections for the consumer for this questionable install experience. I still have half the house to re-floor and I will never use Home Depot again. Recommendation: Do NOT trust Home Depot with your flooring. Do NOT Trust their customer service. read more

I hardly ever review the big box stores, because they're all the same. But I had a DIY project over the weekend and needed a few things my local hardware store didn't have in stock. The people I interacted with a Home Depot were knowledgeable about items in their own department, as well as helping me find products in other departments. I've noticed they will usually walk you over to the area instead of just saying isle 24. One of the things I was looking for was in the most obscure place, I would never have found it. These guys were great. I know it can be hit or miss, but this trip was very good for me. read more

Customer service center takes HOURS to receive an item that was marked "ready for pickup". Outrageous prices that aren't justified by quality of product or service. Do not shop the Williston store!! We drove 30 miles to get deck boards that were suppose to be in inventory only to be told that they were in the yard and not available until the following day. Came back, still not available. Tried calling first, was told they were there, nothing there when we arrived. We did find some other lumber and hardware that we needed but the entire store is a wreck. Pallets of inventory in every aisle waiting to be put away, including the lumber aisle. Try maneuvering sixteen foot boards on a cart with pallets of air conditioners in the way. Finally found our boards at Lowe's in SB. A very clean store with plenty of room in the aisles and friendly and helpful staff. They'll get all my business in the future. read more

I've never had a problem with this store until recently. I purchased two deadbolt locks at the store two weeks ago and asked to have them keyed to the same key and was told it would take "a couple days". A week went by and no calls were made. Then I started calling every two days asking for an update and kept getting told "oh the hardware guy will come do them today and then we'll call you". Two weeks have gone by now and they still haven't been done. I went into the store today and was told, "oh we'll go call the guy and he can try and get to them today." At this point, that is unacceptable. I'm waiting on these locks to make sure my new home is secure and no matter how much I stress that I would like them done, there doesn't seem to be any sort of effort to put the customer first. I told them I'd give it another day, but I'm not sure how many more times I'm willing to say that since that's what I've offered them every day for the last week. read more

Tonight I made a purchase of some siding nails and after checking out went and started my vehicle. I checked around and could not find my keys. (damned remote start can be a pain) An employee named Rita went out of her way to help me find them. I wanted to thank her by giving her a small token of my appreciation, but she adamantly refused. So I am giving her a five star rating and want to make sure management is made aware of your valuable employee. When they delivered my dryer, they put on the wrong power cord. It was for an oven instead. I did not know this and had to pay for an electrician to tell me it was the wrong cord. The manager at Home Depot gave me a really hard time retuning the cord, gave no apologies and said it was the right cord...when obviously it wasn't. Will never to business with them again. read more

My mom had returned an item and got store credit from Home Depot. We went back together and she made a purchase, and the store associate wrote the remaining balance on the back of the card. My mom gave the rest of the store credit to me, but when I went back to use it a few weeks later, they said I need to have an ID with the same name as the person who originally got the store credit. The person at the customer service desk was very nice and understanding, and gave me permission to use it after all, but also told me that I have a zero balance left on it. I am now trying to check the card balance on the Home Depot website, and after entering the card number and the PIN, it says: "We're sorry. Home Depot store credit can only be used in stores. Please use a different payment method" I'm not trying to use it to make a payment, but to check he balance on their own balance checker website. Pretty useless, and frustrating all around. We purchased a granite countertop on August 18, 2021. We were told that the estimated installation date would be 11/15/2021. We finally got an installation date of today, 1/7/2022, almost 4 months after date of purchase. I called the local store and spoke to a nice salesperson in the countertop department. She was very nice, but of course, could not help me. The store took my $1,500 in full payment, and we are almost 4 months later, and the installation cancelled their installation that was supposed to happen today. Of course, I had to call the installer when I had not heard from them. This is a very poor business practice. I asked the salesperson to be honest, and tell customers that it might be as long as 4 months before your countertop will be installed. I will not be shopping at this store any longer after a very awful experience placing a pickup order for a mini fridge on their website. After getting the email confirmation that my order was ready for pickup, I showed up at the store and had 3 associates search the entire store for my order.. nowhere to be found. I was there for 45 minutes and nobody communicated to me what was going on... finally they told me the order was "lost" somehow and that they would call me when ready. Several days later, I get an email and text notification on my phone that the order is ready for pick up. Once again, I drive to the store and meet the same "customer service" team at the front pickup station. They scan through the orders and again, check the entire store and my order is still missing. This time, they tell me they'll call me when it's ready and to ignore the emails because apparently they're not accurate. Another 30 minutes of my time wasted. At this point, I'm very frustrated but politely voice my complaints to the service person. They offer me a less than 50% discount for a $240 fridge. An underwhelming prospect, but I accept. I may be naive to how this system works, but given the amount of hassle I'd already experienced, I was surprised they weren't going to write this one off as a free item for my troubles. They said they'd call me Monday when the order was coming to the store. IT's now Saturday and I've not received a call. Roommate is moving in and needed the fridge by now. Went online, canceled the order, and also called the Home Depot in Williston to submit a complaint to the customer service team. Sure enough, it is the same associate on the other end of the line. I ask to speak to her manager, and then I explain the case of the missing fridge. I explained that it wasn't so much the wait but how the situation was handled that really made me upset. I've worked in customer service all my life, and number 1 is good communication. Not a single staff member at that front desk smiled, asked how your day was going, looked you in the eyes, or expressed any sense of human understanding for an unhappy experience. I explained why they will not have my business in the future, and that I hope they look into this more and change the way things are going at this store. I never would've expected such a bad experience at a Home Depot, but it goes to show how important good customer service is in general. read more

I can understand a store like this not having a greeter, but the staff working didn't seem like they could care less. As I was looking for the Key Kiosk, no one stopped to ask if I needed any help. Then I finally found it. It didn't take much time, but I wouldn't mind being steered in the right direction. As I stood at the Kiosk, one employee passed me. No eye contact. No asking if I'm being helped. Then two more employees passed me. Whatever casual conversation they were having was way more important than asking if I was being helped. And again no eye contact. I was invisible to the first three employees that passed by me at the Kiosk. Finally a fourth employee came by. He looked like he was looking for something and checking on stocking it. He made eye contact but didn't say a word. Finally I asked him if he could get me some help. He called on his walkie-talkie, started back with whatever he was doing before realizing he needed to find someone for me. He finally brought someone over to help me. I felt very fortunate that someone talked to me and seemed willing to help me. Then another guy came up to tell him that he needed to take care of someone when he was finished. I thought that was the rudest thing to say to him when he could have done something or found someone that could have done the task. The key guy, muttered to himself that there were 3 other people could do what he does or can be done for whoever needed help up front. I felt bad for the key guy, because it seemed like he was being pulled in so many different directions. This store should focus on at least checking on customers that are alone and could be waiting for someone to help them. read more

Showed up 4.5 hours late for a delivery. Called in morning of, said they'd be there at 3:45 ended up getting there at 8:15 at night, waited on hold for 1.5 hours to get info on when they'd get there, waited at the job site for hours, only delivered part of what they were supposed to, the cabinets they did deliver were busted up. I had to drive to the store to pick up countertops they didn't deliver, couldn't tell me why they weren't delivered, and after 2 hours of waiting they found my countertops set aside, brought them out only to find one had the corner broken off, and they didn't have any more. Absolute worst experience with an order like this, go to Lowe's. read more

I LOVE Home Depot. Go there for everything. This is the place to go for cleaning supplies as well...cheapest prices anywhere. But the best part is the customer service, especially at the Williston location. Very friendly and knowledgable staff. I have gone to this location for ALL of my home renovations from floors to countertops. This season they by far had the most amazing selection of plants and trees that were amazingly taken care of. After going to several local nurseries I felt like the prices were outrageous. Went to Home Depot and was so pleasantly surprised. Not to mention the garden prices were amazing for the quality. If I could give negative stars I would. We recently purchased new carpet to be installed. We cleaned out the upstairs of our home and finished basement. We rented a pod to put furniture into, stayed the night a local hotel and then the next morning when the carpet was to be installed, the guys showed up and said Home Depot had ordered us the wrong carpet. We have worked with this Home Depot for many years So we decided to purchase an entire suite of new kitchen appliances as well as a washer and dryer. 6 new appliances. We were very excited!! We purchased these new appliance while under Major Reconstruction during the Home Depot July 4 sales event We spent thousands anticipating brand new, working appliances that would last us for years to come! So much for those expectations: Instead.... this is what we received: 2 gas to be converted to propane appliances: one arrived with out the propane adaptors. (An adjustment was made from Home Depot to cover cost of plumber and parts) New parts were installed by a plumber. Which we were not told by saleswoman that it would take a take a plumber over 1 hr to install. Upping the cost with another $70 charge! Washer and dryer were first to be opened. Only to discover the dryer is completely broken... Not working At All! Major heating element was damaged and needed to be replaced. It was Damaged from factory. After almost 2 weeks or waiting A repair man finally came out and ordered new part. It will take over 2 weeks to get new part and get the repairman out to install the new ordered part These these appliances July 4 weekend! It is now the end of September. We have had to wait wait wait and now more wait. Meanwhile We are going to laundry mat T $35.00 a week x 8 plus weeks We are Making payments on appliance we can NOT use! We will request the cost of laundry mat fees! The stove we discovered upon opening the UNDAMAGED Box: that the bottom frame of the stove was Completely Crushed. Because the boxes of appliances arrived in FANTASTIC Shape: we did not open them all up: hook them up and make sure they were all Not damaged... again as the box's were in Fantastic condition upon arrival. So we waited as we completed more remodeling to open the stove and get it hooked up. When we did open the stove we found the bottom frame was Crushed on both sides.... Bowing out the side panels.... The stove had to have been damaged/ dropped before it was packed up in the box and shipped. Because the box arrived Undamaged! This can NOT be repaired!! We have had a repair many come look. The Brand New Damaged stove needs to be replaced! We are bewildered that Home Depot and GE feel they have NO responsibility for providing us with the new UNDAMAGED and Working appliances we purchased..... We will request reimbursement for stove adaptor in addition the plumber fee to install propane adaptor. We have already paid for this to be installed on current stove! Buyer Beware! Whether Home Depot or GE, I dont believe we will ever purchase so many appliances at one time from one place This goes to show how much can go wrong Can and Will! I find myself sometimes avoiding the Home Depot simply because it tends to overwhelm me. I mean, seriously, it is a warehouse of home goods. The staff need powered lifts just to put and pick up inventory from the shelves! If you've never been to one, just imagine showing up in the building at the end of Raiders Of The Lost Ark, you know, the one with loads after loads of archived items stacked like a canyon? That's what I think of when I go into the Home Depot. So it really doesn't feel like a store to me. I'm also a bit off on finding small things like light bulbs or cleaning supplies in a place that also sells plywood, sheetrock and 2x4s by the gross. But I have to say, every time I do go into the warehouse, I'm typically greeted by someone on the floor within the first 5 minutes asking "is there anything I can help you find?". That always, ALWAYS eases the tension. Everyone I've run into who works here has been friendly, knowledgeable and just wants to help! I have yet to hear anyone here grumble about the job, how many hours until break, etc. They all seem real happy to work there! That makes a big difference in how the place is kept and staffed for customers like me. It probably has the best selection of home hardware items I know in the area. So if I'm lacking in finding the right thing, I'm usually well off at the Depot. My only minor complaint is they often don't keep front registers staffed much. At most I'll see two running with the option to use self checkout at 4 stations. Self checkout is helpful for times when it gets really backed up. Parking is plentiful and easy to navigate. Beware of hot dog vendor outside, you may find yourself staying for an opportunistic lunch after shopping just from the wafting fumes of food cooking outside! read more

We purchased granite countertop in June from this location of Home Depot. We were told that they would come to measure the countertop the following week. We didn't hear anything for a few weeks. I called and then we went back to the store to try to find out what was going on. The store associates who were very happy to sell the countertop to us basically said everything was handled out of the granite company after they sell the product. We were given another number who we called. "Tanya" said that they would schedule immediately and said the problem was they had called an old telephone number in their system. They finally came to measure in late July. Our countertop was going to be delivered this week. We were told they would call 72 hours in advance to schedule the installation. Not only is that their policy but we needed 24 hours of notice so we could remove the old countertop. I get a phone call at 6:00 a.m. on a Monday morning that they are on the way to install the granite and will be at our house within the hour. The only problem was that we were in Montreal - not Vermont and our old countertop was still installed. Now, I can't get anyone to return my calls or texts to find out when they will be returning. Ordered a refrigerator 11/7. The delivery service was ATROCIOUS. We paid for delivery. We have had 3 appointments for the fridge to be delivered, and still no fridge. 3 times we have taken time off work. The first time they claimed the fridge was damaged and couldn't deliver. The second, they went off the road, the 3rd, they never showed up, no call, nothing. We've called them and the 3rd party answering service could not reach the drivers. It shouldn't take 7 weeks for a run of the mill fridge. I'd be less upset if someone would communicate and at least try for an already paid for appliance. I won't purchase anything major from Home Depot again. read more

Worst appliance experience ever! I ordered appliances and got a great price and was very happy with my purchase. The delivery company they use Spirit is the worst I have ever dealt with. They would not go up my fairly flat driveway. My appliances were heavily damaged. When I rescheduled my delivery, they just left rather than waiting the 2 minutes I was away from being there to meet them. Until Home Depot changes delivery companies I would not recommend anyone buy appliances here. read more

Horrible appliance delivery service! Too many problems to list, waiting for them it pick up my old appliance but I am not holding my breath. I will probably call HD and have them credit the charge for removal and get it done myself. As another said I will not (ever!) purchase another appliance from Home Depot until they contract with another vendor for deliveries. read more
