Little stuff, a couple of screws for a bed, some doorknob set screws and some brackets for my storm door. Put simply, he didn't have what I needed (fine) and told me what he had (also fine). When I asked questions about the specs on the screws he had vs what I needed, he was just nasty and unhelpful. I was simply trying to understand the difference between the metric screws I had and the "quarter 20s" he had! He acted like I was a pain in the neck and he didn't have time to bother with my little stuff that would have generated only $10 of revenue (store was virtually empty). I want to use local businesses, not the big home store retailers. I have plenty of reasons to go to a local hardware store, say 2 times a month. But this store will NEVER get my business, large or small. At least the dolts at Lowe's and The Home Depot are willing to answer simple questions with patience rather than pique. No wonder small hardware stores are disappearing! This one could not disappear soon enough.

The people I interacted with a Home Depot were knowledgeable about items in their own department, as well as helping me find products in other departments. These guys were great. I know it can be hit or miss, but this trip was very good for me.

(we were told at every step we would be paid back for one 800 got junk now they're saying we think we should be paid back and they're saying that they didn't say we would be paid) this is exploitative. I can't go elsewhere because when they're appliances fail, they send you a gift card to Lowe's. The quality of the materials seems to surpass what I was buying from other major home stores for the areas of the house I had been renovating. Recently, I have been completing my basement renovation and needed very specific custom windows to fit and meet egress. Curtis was able to custom order me these windows which I could not find elsewhere. I want to note that there was an issue with the window order not being correct when they arrived, but Curtis did the right thing and replaced them for me with the correct windows, even though they were custom built and could not be returned otherwise.
