When I asked questions about the specs on the screws he had vs what I needed, he was just nasty and unhelpful. I was simply trying to understand the difference between the metric screws I had and the "quarter 20s" he had! He acted like I was a pain in the neck and he didn't have time to bother with my little stuff that would have generated only $10 of revenue (store was virtually empty). I want to use local businesses, not the big home store retailers. I have plenty of reasons to go to a local hardware store, say 2 times a month. But this store will NEVER get my business, large or small. At least the dolts at Lowe's and The Home Depot are willing to answer simple questions with patience rather than pique. No wonder small hardware stores are disappearing! This one could not disappear soon enough.

And I'm not allowed to talk to the management staff here now simply because I reported them to the attorney generals office for fraud since I have had to be here so many times I'm still not been paid back for this, I have been in the store now. They have not done it STILL. The fact that they won't even hold up their end of the agreement. (we were told at every step we would be paid back for one 800 got junk now they're saying we think we should be paid back and they're saying that they didn't say we would be paid) this is exploitative. I can't go elsewhere because when they're appliances fail, they send you a gift card to Lowe's. I spoke to the corporate office many times each time not only was I told we would be paid back in an overnight check. I also would receive 40 and $50 gift certificates for my inconvenience. My inconvenience has yet to end. It's now October 5th this incident was in July. I have been there so many times this is insane and I am hell hostage by them. The quality of the materials seems to surpass what I was buying from other major home stores for the areas of the house I had been renovating. Supplies from Curtis included a 600 square foot room rebuild, with all lumber, insulation, and roof trusses from Curtis, as well as new roof shingles and all the siding replaced. Recently, I have been completing my basement renovation and needed very specific custom windows to fit and meet egress. Curtis was able to custom order me these windows which I could not find elsewhere. I want to note that there was an issue with the window order not being correct when they arrived, but Curtis did the right thing and replaced them for me with the correct windows, even though they were custom built and could not be returned otherwise. We are out $6k and the customer service team could honestly care less. Their communication has been basically nonexistent and the two times we've had to call to follow up, the sales rep was incredibly rude, interrupting me constantly and passing the buck on down the line to anyone she could think of- throwing her sales team under the bus, blaming Bertazzoni, and basically telling us that neither she nor Bouchard-Pierce were remotely responsible. I run a global customer success and services team and if any of my colleagues treated a customer the way we've been treated, they'd be terminated immediately.
