It's weird bc before I even started this review, it had on here that I had started the review and…read moreonly gave this place 3 stars. I hadn't started anything and sure as hell didn't give it just 3 stars! That being said, let us begin! Downtown Burlington! What a very unique, wonderful little area. Full of restaurants, name brand stores, bars, quaint little shops like this one, a wide open area lined with stores that gives off very Ithaca Commons vibes. The Commons back in the day were the shiiiiiiiit! Sadly nowadays...it's too commercialized. Burlington, VT tho...not so much. Sure they have a Patagonia store and some other bougie ass stores, but it still has that super chill vibe which made me happy. One bad thing...LOTS of homeless! LOTS! I get they are homeless, but wow! For a tiny city like Burlington...it's kinda mind blowing how many homeless they have all over the downtown area. Does that take away some of the magic that is..Burlington? Sure! Maybe a little! Then you come across adorable little stores like Home & Garden Vermont. What a (and I never use this word .. like ever lol but..) what a charming little store. Little bit of everything in there. It's the type of store that tourists absolutely love. Even the high prices don't seem to phase most tourists...then there is me haha! I'm cheap af. So appreciating these types of stores is more my cup of tea lol. Although, I came close to buying a few things in these little stores. My brother and I would see something and be like "let's check the others to see if the prices are any cheaper" They. were, not. Haha! If you saw a very cool Stowe or Burlington t-shirt in one store for $33 ... best beweave..it's $33 in the next one. These stores make their money regardless of cheap fks like myself...and I'm glad they do, Stores like Home & Garden Vermont add so much of that amazing magic that is felt throughout the downtown area. The staff is beyond sweet. Very nice lady helped us when we were there. Very bubbly, smiley, just an incredibly nice human. I did go up to her tho and told her that her store gave off Schitts Creek vibes. Yall remember, Rose Apothecary?? For some reason, parts of this store very much made me think of Patrick and David in their little Schitts Creek shop haha. The employee laughed and she said "all we need is David and we'd be set" haha! Rose Apothecary, now that I think of it...a lot of the stores around downtown are quaint like that. However, Home & Garden, I actually felt like it was like..a sister store of Rose Apothecary haha! I loved when David and Patrick opened that store in that series. I love love stores like that. So it was kind of special to walk in to this store and immediately feel that. Even my brother agreed. So I know I'm not like crazy haha. Store is very nice. Nicely laid out. They pay close attention to details in Home & Garden Vermont. They know exactly where to place everything for maximum exposure. Their front windows are even very homey to look at for the "window shoppers" What a great little shop. This was my first time ever in Vermont. I grew up in upstate New York, too! I know this will not be my first and last time in Vermont. Autumn on the east coast is something that is like no other. As a photographer, VT is like a dream come true during Autumn. Point of me saying that is...I know I will be back and I look forward to going to this little store again and all the others around the downtown area. Seeing as my family is still in upstate NY, yeah, I know I'll be back. Home and Gardrn VT...thank you for a very pleasant experience. You certainly will never be forgotten. Thank you to the employee(s) for being so friendly. When they say "shop local" This is a FANTASTIC store to do that at! Doesn't have to just be for tourists! I hope I didn't leave anything out! Go and have a look! You'll love it! Thanks for reading, YelpHomies & YelpGardeners!! Cheers!

My plants were starting to look like they were questioning their life choices, so it was definitely time for a refresh. From the moment I walked in, the staff was warm, welcoming, and knowledgeable. They didn't just repot the plants, they explained every step of the process, from the soil mix they selected to how often I should water going forward. I really appreciated that they took the time to educate me rather than just doing the job and sending me on my way. You can tell they genuinely care about plant health and customer experience. The store itself is such a vibe - well-organized, clean, and full of beautiful greenery, planters, gardening tools, and décor. It's one of those places you walk into intending to fix one issue and suddenly you're considering starting a full garden. There's a great balance of options for both beginners and serious gardeners. Pricing was fair, quality was high, and customer service was truly standout. My Money Trees look healthier already, like they just left a spa day. Overall, a wonderful experience. I will definitely be coming back for more plants, supplies, and probably another round of plant therapy.

The people I interacted with a Home Depot were knowledgeable about items in their own department, as well as helping me find products in other departments. I've noticed they will usually walk you over to the area instead of just saying isle 24. One of the things I was looking for was in the most obscure place, I would never have found it. These guys were great. I know it can be hit or miss, but this trip was very good for me.

Shortly after install the washer was malfunctioning. It was shaking so badly that anything on to went flying. I called Samsung. After weeks of waiting I was told that there are no service providers in our area. No service for two brand new machines! I called the store. They called Samsung. I started going to the laundromat. I called a regular service company in the area who came right out. They said that the bracket that holds the drum in place was broken and no parts were available for Samsung machines. Back to the store and Samsung. Home Depot would not exchange the machines for an alternate brand. Long story short Samsung finally found a new identical machine. Delivery 8 months later. Not two months later new machine same thing. I call Home Depot. The manager of the Williston VT store dismisses me like a bothersome child. Call Samsun. Do you have a direct number? No. Why does Home Depot still carry a brand that you know does not have service? She said, "Lots of stores do that." I asked how Home Depot can charge hundreds of dollars for en extended warranty that can not be used? She said, "Call Samsung." After explaining that we have been customers of Home Depot for over 30 years and am extremely disappointed, she said in the most dismissive way possible, "Is there anything else?" So from Williston Home Depot to a loyal customer a big FU. I guess my appliance replacement and kitchen renovation will be from Lowes.

He has an eye for detail and will help you decorate your home within your budget. As I'd just bought a home, I needed window treatments, as there were none and I didn't want to live in a fishbowl, with the outside world having full access (especially when I was in the shower!). I wanted to be able to see my picturesque views while still maintaining privacy, mostly at night. Bill was referred to me by a good friend whose homes have all been decorated with his skill. The store is cozy and the staff are great. Kathi greeted me warmly and answered all my questions, showed me multiple offerings: what kinds of blinds did I want, how did I want them to work, etc. I chose the kind that close either up or down so you can have partial views when you want, but utmost privacy. I made an appointment for Bill to come and give me a free consultation at my home. He helped me determine the best treatments for my windows, including colors. He could have pushed for the most expensive, but he did not. Pleased with the offerings and estimate, I paid my down payment and waited eagerly for my new blinds to arrive in 6-8 weeks (due to the pandemic). Once they arrived, Bill had all of the blinds installed in no time. He did all three floors in under 2.5 hours. He made sure I understood how they worked and answered any questions I had before leaving. I am beyond thrilled with the work that he did. I would call him in a heartbeat were I to ever need his services again.

This store is conveniently located in a strip mall about a 15 minute drive from Burlington, Vermont. I now live in South Florida, so I kind of miss this chain. We have one in my hometown in New York too, so I used to frequent that one. Christmas Tree Shop has quite the variety of items... Patio furniture, gardening supplies, holiday decor, toiletries, sunglasses, flip flops, frames, food, lamps and so much more! I was looking for a Vermont souvenir, I was ecstatic to find a beautiful embroidered decorative pillow for $17! I've seen slightly nicer items like this retail for $150+. They also had a limited selection of items like hats and t-shirts. I think it's a great spot for inexpensive home decor, it's usually somewhat geared towards the region that you are in. This city is right by the lake, so there was a lot of cute stuff related to that. If you need something like plates, mugs or home decor, this is your spot. It's also a good place to pick up party supplies. Inventory at these stores is always changing, on this trip I spotted a lot of summery items like patio chairs or pool toys like inflatable rafts. If you like to shop and not spend a lot, this is your spot! If you see something you really want, better buy it because it might be gone the next time you come in.
