After comparing prices, we found that Burlington Furniture was quoting us $2,000 more than a California company, even with shipping and assembly included. Still, we wanted to support a local business, so we returned to Burlington Furniture, and they agreed to match the competitor's price. We were given an estimated delivery date of 4/30. When we followed up, we were surprised to hear that our furniture wouldn't arrive for nearly two more months. We understand that delays happen, but we were frustrated by the lack of communication. I called the manager to get clarity and was told that the employee who gave us that update was no longer with the company. She promised to follow up--which she did--but she didn't provide a new delivery timeline. Instead, she told us the order wasn't actually delayed and that deliveries typically arrive two weeks after the estimated date. It's unclear why the original estimate wouldn't account for that window, and what's worse, I never heard back from the manager again. Ultimately, the delivery company brought our furniture just five days after the estimated date, which we appreciated--but the poor communication and lack of accountability from Burlington Furniture left a bad impression. We're happy with the product, but extremely disappointed in the service. Sadly, this experience has cost Burlington Furniture a customer.

She was told they would call with an estimate once they'd taken a look at it and figured out what was wrong with it. The next day she received a voicemail saying, "Hello, this is Vacuum City. We're calling because we know you wanted an estimate which is $56.70. The price is SO LOW we know you won't say "No", so we went ahead and fixed it. You can pick it up any time." Needless to say my daughter was a bit taken aback by this, and she questioned them about the behavior. When she did, the owner of the establishment became extremely rude, shouted at her, used profanity towards her, ripped out the parts he'd installed in the vacuum, then threw it at her. If I could post the voicemail to provide some validation I would. Needless to say I could not warn Yelpers more strongly to stay away from this place. Yelp doesn't allow zero stars, or that's what the rating would be for Vacuum City.

We paid them a large amount of money to special paint our upper cabinets which were not only grossly the wrong color, but quality of the paint was unacceptable which has several damaged, dings and huge errors in paint. These issues are beyond minor in defect and reflect a failure in both workmanship and communication. I requested remediation in a timely manner with photos and was denied by their contracted 802 Cabinetry dealer (who owns them which is a conflict!) and additionally them as they report my issues to be industry standards. Once you pay this company, they do not care about you or your cabinets. They lack any and all empathy or basic human understanding of a home. I am a mom of 3 children, and this was my 1 time being able to redo our kitchen and KOB has completely failed me. Although I have full acknowledgement from Briann their sales rep that my experience has been terrible and they failed on numerous fronts, they will NOT remedy this in any manner. I will be taking them to court to rectify this 10,000+ error in their service and quality of work. DO NOT SHOP HERE! It is illegal and immoral what they are doing to people.
