After I got it back I used it for an hour before a metal sound came from the saw and it quit. I brought it back to Parkside again. They called me and said just about everything is bad on the saw and it would cost $300-$400 to fix it. I was reluctant but said yes go ahead and fix it. Yesterday I went to get my chainsaw back. I was charged $625.00. When I asked why this bill was $225 over the max of the verbal estimate, I got an answer that one part was pricey. I believe I should've been informed before the work was done that their verbal estimate was significantly off. I am writing this with hope that if you need to get something done with a piece of equipment at Parkside Supply that you get an estimate on paper, not just a verbal. Thanks, Mary

After comparing prices, we found that Burlington Furniture was quoting us $2,000 more than a California company, even with shipping and assembly included. Still, we wanted to support a local business, so we returned to Burlington Furniture, and they agreed to match the competitor's price. We were given an estimated delivery date of 4/30. When we followed up, we were surprised to hear that our furniture wouldn't arrive for nearly two more months. We understand that delays happen, but we were frustrated by the lack of communication. I called the manager to get clarity and was told that the employee who gave us that update was no longer with the company. She promised to follow up--which she did--but she didn't provide a new delivery timeline. Instead, she told us the order wasn't actually delayed and that deliveries typically arrive two weeks after the estimated date. It's unclear why the original estimate wouldn't account for that window, and what's worse, I never heard back from the manager again. Ultimately, the delivery company brought our furniture just five days after the estimated date, which we appreciated--but the poor communication and lack of accountability from Burlington Furniture left a bad impression. We're happy with the product, but extremely disappointed in the service. Sadly, this experience has cost Burlington Furniture a customer.

She was told they would call with an estimate once they'd taken a look at it and figured out what was wrong with it. The next day she received a voicemail saying, "Hello, this is Vacuum City. We're calling because we know you wanted an estimate which is $56.70. The price is SO LOW we know you won't say "No", so we went ahead and fixed it. You can pick it up any time." Needless to say my daughter was a bit taken aback by this, and she questioned them about the behavior. When she did, the owner of the establishment became extremely rude, shouted at her, used profanity towards her, ripped out the parts he'd installed in the vacuum, then threw it at her. If I could post the voicemail to provide some validation I would. Needless to say I could not warn Yelpers more strongly to stay away from this place. Yelp doesn't allow zero stars, or that's what the rating would be for Vacuum City.

It was not gliding properly. I called the business and was told that the first Dyson needs to be thrown away and the second- well, they do not do service "cleaning". Mind you, I had my Dysons for years and routinely take them apart to wash and clean the filters and bins regularly. I just do not have Dyson tools to take the clogged one apart, etc. The gentleman was rude and unpleasant and I was told that he will not help under any circumstances! If it were possible I would give them zero stars.

The young woman at the counter was pleasant and she spent a little time checking things a few things out. She said she was unable to find the issue, and said she would need to bring it back to the bench to look at it. In all honesty, she did briefly mention a $45 bench fee. She said to come back within 20 minutes and she should have it fixed by then. That surprised me because she said she didn't know what was wrong with it. When I came back to pick it up, the owner (?) was at the counter and charged me $48+. I asked what was wrong with it, and she said it was a bad plug. I was shocked by the price, and queried, " You're going to charge me $48 for a $3 plug and work that would've taken about five minutes?" Her reply was curt and somewhat rude. She told me that they had to cover their bills somehow. To me, this was terrible customer service. It is my theory that the young lady at the counter could tell right away that it was just the plug when she examined it. I felt scammed. I would've happily bought a plug from them and done it myself if I only I had known. It would have been good customer service if she would have worked with me, but this woman was unwilling to budge. I tried communicating with them through email, asking if we could come to some sort of compromised bill. No one ever responded to any of my emails. Poor customer service doesn't pay in the end, but I had to!! $48 was a lot of money out of my very limited income.

I needed a piece of PVC pipe. I had gone to one of the large home improvement stores in the area…read more They had the pipe in 10 foot lengths, but would not cut it to the shorter length I needed. I went to Blodgett's and they found a slightly damaged 6 foot piece which they GAVE to me and which I could fit into my vehicle. There was enough good pipe for me to cut to the length I needed. Makes me happy that there are still nice people in the world.
