The Superstore sales person was great. The delivery and followup was not so great. We were the last delivery of the day and it was obvious that one of the delivery people was in a hurry. When they pushed the refrigerator through the doorway of our living room (the best way to bring it in) they took a chunk out of the wall casing. They assured us it would be fixed. To fit the refrigerator into the opening between our cupboards the one anxious delivery guy pushed it so hard you could hear the hardwood floor scratching. I haven't looked under the refrigerator, but there is a noticeable scratch that is in FRONT of the refrigerator. That one makes me angry every time I clean the hardwood floors. The nicer delivery guy said he would make note of it and make sure it got fixed. We never heard from them. We called the Superstore and they said there was no note, but assured us they would take care of it through their delivery service. A few weeks later we called Superstore again. Nothing happened. My husband finally fixed the gouge in the wall board himself. He is not a handyman but since it is low to the floor it is at least white like the rest of the wall board. The scratches in the wood flooring are still pretty annoying. That said, I would probably buy from them again only because the local box stores are worse. read more

I dropped in last week for appliance for my new kitchen. Out of three men onsite, one behind the counter and two having a talk in the back, I stayed for 35 mins looking at my options. Not once did any associate ask if they could assist, or even make eye contact. This is an automatic fail of customer service and I left the store only to go to another appliance store that DID give me the time of day. I cannot comment on any products since I received no help or advice on choices. I understand staffing issues, but in this case, I was the only customer in the store and there were three associates that 'could' have assisted but did not. read more

Tl;dr: Buyer beware; we paid more to buy local, got an appliance that broke twice in the first 4 months, and then received worse-that-box-store, dystopian customer service. I have bought better appliances from box stores that were less expensive and were repaired faster when they had issues. I believe in keeping my money local and made 2 purchases from The Superstore in 2022 valuing $3,500. My 2nd purchase was a refrigerator for which I paid $2,250, only to see it break less than 4 months after purchase. This ultimately resulted in the loss of a fridge-full of groceries (family of 5), and worse yet, breast milk for our baby that had to be thrown away. After contacting The Superstore, they reached out to a 3rd party repair company, and I give an enormous amount of credit to A+ Appliances, who showed up and got our fridge up and running later that evening. Unfortunately, it died a few days later, resulting in more garbage bags full of groceries. I called A+, and they said that the faulty part should be replaced--which we agreed with--but we needed to contact the store because it was under warranty. This is where it all falls apart. When we contacted The Superstore on 12/13, Kim informed us that she had ordered the part and it was being shipped "2-day air." Kim gave that customer service vibe that says "because we're doing something, you should be happy" (like when an airline cancels your flight and puts you up in the Newark Howard Johnson like they're doing you a favor). I expressed my frustration to her that this was not a "cheap" appliance, and that this was not an easy situation for my family. Her response may be the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard a human say; she said this: "We can't bring it to you, but we can provide a loaner." Think about that. I have to drive 30 minutes, each way, to pick up a REFRIGERATOR, that I would then have to, myself, move into my home (on a temporary basis) as a stop-gap for 2 days. Kim didn't get it. So here we are, at 5:30pm on 12/21 (8 days after they ordered the part "2-day air") and the part has still not arrived. Kim insists that there is no tracking or order number (yes, she said that) despite having ordered it through their Frigidaire rep. The Superstore has not reached out to me ONCE. I have had to call them every day to ask if the part has arrived. Kim has repeatedly reminded me that they offered me a "loaner," and I finally had to ask her to stop bringing that up. read more

We've just made a second purchase with the SuperStore in February 2024 for a new Samsung Dual Oven Range to go with our Side by Side Samsung Frig we got from them last year. There was an issue with the Double Oven not working at all. Kimberly, the Sales Manager, got their repair service over to our home in only 48 hours after I'd notified her of the issue the day of delivery. The issue turned out to be minor (an unplugged connection) and we were back to enjoying our new Dual Range so soon after delivery only 2 days ago. We are so pleased how quickly Superstore/Kimberly handled our concerns and got things resolved. I've purchased from the Super Store since the late 90s for both appliances and TVs/Electronics and every purchase has been a 100% satisfactory experience. They stand behind their products and if you have valid issues or concerns, they'll resolve for you to your satisfaction. They fully support extended warranties and handle quick replacements as well as I know when my dehumidifier died and they handled the extended warranty replacement very promptly! Gotta' say, PLEASE give this Vermont owned business your patronage and they will "deliver". The chain stores selling the same or similar products have less interest in your satisfaction after the sale. It's just not the same quality of customer care that you will get from a local Vermont owned Business. We purchased an expensive couch and because of the supply issues (covid) we were notified that delivery could take many months. So we were happy when the couch was delivered. However there were 2 small imperfections in the upholstery. I spoke with the owner about the problem and immediately he said they would replace the couch with the understanding that again delivery will take quite a bit of time (still covid supply issues). They said we should use the couch they delivered first until the replacement arrived. True to their word, the new couch arrived and it was perfect. They took the imperfect couch away and now we have our new couch and are happy customers. We will shop at this store for all of our home needs in the future. Even when we had a little concern about our purchase, we worked with Doug who was friendly and quick to assist resolve our issue. We had a very poor experience with installation and customer service. We bought a dishwasher and the installer did a poor job installing and his frustration was uncomfortable. We called the sales person who sold us the dishwasher and he was going to order another top control panel as the original was scratched due to the poor install and said he would send another installer to our home to take care of the reinstallation. When we called to have the second appointment made, the appliance manager told us that Superstore would not guarantee the first installer's work and we had to work it out with him ourselves as he was an independent contractor. We asked why she would not honor her salesperson's agreement with us to have another installer come, she said that they do not honor what their sale person offers to customers if the sales person is "misinformed". A disappointing experience for sure. As 30+ year customers we expected better. Apparently this is how they treat Vermonters. read more

(ask for her when you go in) She was super helpful and so very knowledgeable. Never did she try to up-sell us. We told her what kind of mattress we liked to sleep on and she narrowed it down to five for us to lay down on and try. 40 different mattresses to chose from) Sandy also didn't hover over us --- left us alone to discuss and try mattresses. Bought a TV here this October, 2018. Buy local and all of that. The TV price was within a few dollars of Best Buy so we went with it. We bought the extended warrantee and the sales person was great. We also paid for the "professional" install. Thus the 1 star... The installers moved my modem 20 feet to the new TV (I mentioned I could do it, as the area had already been wired by our electrician but they said they could do it. Since they were "professional I let them) Oops, that will be an extra $50! Who knew? "We'll have to use a cable from the truck," that will be an extra $60 plus, cha ching! 'cause it must be made of platinum. I should have bought one from --you guessed it-- Best Buy for $15. The "professional" installers acted like they'd never seen Satellite TV before. "Satellite? I'll try my best..." Eventually they advised me to call the Satellite people because I needed a certain type of connector only they could provide. When the Satellite guy came, the connector was there, already connected... They had connected it without knowing it?? So we paid for the professional install for $250 and were charged an additional $185. You know, for the "professional" install that left us without our satellite TV hooked up. They gave me a quick (very quick) run through of how the TV works, never got to the set up menus for the TV. But it was Friday and we were the last Job of the week and they clearly wanted out of there. The guys were nice, don't get me wrong, the communication from them was excellent, but basically they used over priced cables, walked my modem an arduous 20 feet, and hung the TV on the wall, connected cables for my sound bar for an additional $180. All the wiring had already been done by my electrician, including a way for them to pull the cables through the wall. So what then, pray, was the initial $250 install fee for? A couple of text messages and to set up a time for them to come? Be advised: at the SuperStore the install fee does not include the actual install. WTF? The room where they installed the TV had totally been redone down to the studs. The builder installed blocking in the wall for the mount I bought. They did not like the mount, (they don't sell that brand and they thought the attachment to the wall was not sufficient to hold the TV.) I told them that the builder had installed blocking behind the wall for this purpose. They didn't seem to know what that meant, and so I bought another TV mount that they could understand and work with. In retrospect, this should have been my first clue. There is the other matter of the extended warrantee. We were having work done on the TV room and bought the TV three weeks before we needed it. (The install was a two week wait which didn't matter to us) The warrantee begins, not when you take delivery of the TV, but from date of purchase, so you get to pay for the weeks you don't actually have the TV! Super awesome. I called about this, but there was "nothing they could do." What I could have done, and should have in retrospect, was order online from Crutchfield. Or maybe buy the TV, bring it home yourself, that day and hire an outside outfit to take care of the install. I hear Best Buy has people who can do it... read more

So the super store has been around for a good long while. I remember this place when I was younger. So I did make a trip in to take a look at TVs. They offered a lot from the top brands and all sorts of sizes. So be ready to be wowed on the huge 70+ inch TVs! The staff here was great as well. Granted they where not to busy but they could answer all of my questions. They looked up what they had in stock. So over all they are very easy to work with. Where the Super Store falls short is their pricing. I found them to be a good $60-$80 more than Best Buy and the Walmarts of the world. I asked why and I get "Well they can undercut on certain items unlike us.". My answer to that sadly is "Bye". I don't like to just blow money just because. Great customer service but the prices are just way to high! I hope they can compete in the future! I would have liked to given them my business but in today's world I need to save more money. The easiest and stress free place to purchase appliances. They kept us apprised throughout the entire process and the delivery was perfect. The delivery guys were friendly and professional. They have an in-house delivery service compared to your traditional big box stores who use a third party (GE) so you don't have to continually follow up or call a customer service line if delivery issues arise (and issues always come up with these third parties so beware). The sales staff are patient and knowledgeable (ask for Kimberly, she's amazing to work with). Their prices are competitive and they will seek all available rebates to help bring down the costs (Kimberly was able to get us $1200 in rebates). We also purchased a TV from their electronics dept and their prices matched to a nearby blue and yellow big box store. The sales person was vey knowledgeable, friendly, and steps above traditional sales folks at those big box stores. We will definitely come back to look at their furniture selections. read more

The superstore was great to work with. But BUYER BEWARE on the mattress protector "guarantee" not to fail. My complaint is with the mattress protector company, not the superstore. BEDGEAR. GM DRI-TEC. I paid $95 for the mattress protector because of the 10 year guarantee that if the protector failed, they would replace the mattress. The FIRST time I spilled something-coffee-it went right through to the mattress. Guess what? The protector company has a process that is designed to be so difficult that they don't have to make good on their promise. I washed the mattress pad immediately, so I was unable to comply with one of their conditions, which was to provide a photo of the protector with the stain showing on the inside and outside. Save yourself $75 and buy a $20 mattress pad in Walmart! read more

Very disappointed in my experience. I bought a mattress set, the salesperson said delivery would be within a week and they would take my old bedding away at no charge. After three weeks of waiting for someone to call me to arrange delivery, I called the salesperson and she couldn't find a record of my purchase (that I paid for in full). I wish I had checked the reviews here before going to the store and putting down over 2k. I ordered a bed, foundation and frame (the basic metal one, but they didn't stock that size [CA-K]). I was told that they would have to order it and it would take 1.5-2 weeks for us to get it, what with the holidays and all. No problem. Three weeks later they finally said they had the bed and foundation, but were still waiting on the frame. So they delivered the bed and foundation (put on the floor for the time being) and the foundation turned out to be the wrong size. The driver told me he would call it in right then, and that they got two deliveries a week so it should get there soon. A week later I gave them a call to see if the frame or foundation had come in. The frame had but still waiting on the foundation. I actually called several times over the next week after this. Each time the person I talked to said they would call me right back, or they would call the warehouse and check on it. But they never did. Finally, at 4 weeks 6 days past my order date I called with the intention of asking for a refund of the foundation and frame so that I could order them somewhere else. And when I got a sales associate on the phone I was told that everything was in and they had their trucks scheduled to delivery to me in a couple days. And she was sure they would give me a call sometime before then to see if that day was okay for me. Seeing the end of the bed saga so close at hand I let it go. At 5 weeks 1 day it was all finally over. I hate The Superstore. read more

I used to enjoy the Superstore for decent prices and superb electronics/furniture selection. But my latest visit to price new audio receivers and speakers was a real letdown. The entire back area that was supposed showcase the equipment looked more like some back room storage room. There were empty boxes lying around, packing material chaff on the non-vacuumed floor and the lack of ANY sales staff to help or offer to help on the floor was just so atrocious! What happened to this place? I really got the feeling they did NOT want me to spend my money here and this display and lack of care in it told that to me loud and clear. If you want to sell top of the line stereo and A/V equipment, please at least show you want to wow customers over it, not just lay it out there with a price tag. We bought a floor model refrigerator March 20, 2015. We did not notice it was missing a screw from the front and had a few minor scratches on the door corner because of dim lighting in the store. We fixed the scratches with black nail polish and ordered a replacement screw but are still waiting for it to arrive 7 weeks later. When the refrigerator was delivered, the truck ran 3 hours late and the guys were rude and in a rush and did not adjust the level screws so the door would close due to gravity. Note: the screw arrived in the mail a couple of days after this review was posted. A week later Kimberly, the manager of the Superstore, called wanting to make things right. She apologized about the delay in receiving the screw and said that a crew would come and level the refrigerator. They came today and fixed it. As a result I have upped the review rating from 1 to 3 stars. My only thought is that I did not realize that a floor model might be damaged in some way and I think it would have been a good idea for the salesperson to point this out - and then say that as a result the price is lowered. read more

I recently purchased a 65 inch Samsung 4K TV from the Superstore. They had the best price. Better than Costco and Best Buy. This was a high end TV and Walmart didn't carry it. They were extremely knowledgeable about the product. I also bought a Sono's sound system. Sonos does not allow discounting so the price was the same as every where else but again, the sales person who helped us was very knowledgeable and helped us make a great choice. We also had the Superstore mount the TV in our home including all the wiring which we wanted hidden in the walls. They really shined here. Every call, email and text was answered promptly as we approached the install date. The installers were fantastic. They really knew there stuff. Comcast and Direct TV were part of the install. They sent out clueless staff about how to install their service for a 4k TV. Were it not for the Superstore installers, the whole thing would have been a mess. I purchased a sectional from this store last November (2019) when it was delivered one of the cushions seamed "off". Now its all stitched one piece to the frame, so it is not as simple as just taking it in. I went to the store 3 times and finally in January they sent a guy (Jeremy) . He said it looked like either the factory cut it wrong or overstuffed it. He said he would write it up and they'd get back to me. Waited another month, nothing so back to the store for trip number 4! They had no idea what I was talking about, they said they'd have someone call me. Then COVID hit a month later with no response prior. So it was July before I could get back to them. Again, it was like going in the first time. I went in again in September and again in November, same story. It is now January again (2021) and nothing. So glad I paid for the extra warranty... This establishment obviously has a disconnect in communication, so buyer beware. read more

I purchased a dishwasher a year ago, from this store. GE dishwasher not a cheap one, midway to upper end. I was installing it myself, i have installed a few over the years. Special parts for GE, sales doesn't bother telling you that unlike most models these are additional cost. Fast forward one year later I have a broken dish washer since April 23rd first phone call to Super Store. Today is 5/15 several calls later, i could have purchase the parts myself and had it back and going, but I PAID for the warranty to have them do it. Why I will never shop at the SuperStore in Williston, VT again. We bought a dining table set four weeks ago and set up a delivery time. We then decided to pick it up because we were moving and Penske is a couple miles away from their store. My wife Maria called them to setup a pickup time and they got disconnected. They called me back and asked if my wife's name was Mary Anne. When I managed to park my giant moving truck at their store, I went into the furniture show room where I saw two middle aged women chatting each other up at their desks. They heard me enter, looked over at me, and then looked back at each other and started talking again. I went upstairs where I bought the dining set and found two more women were chatting with a guy who had some blueprints out. They looked at me like I had two heads and were just plain snooty and unwelcoming. (Brief side story: The lady woman happened to be the one we saw two nights ago in the furniture room when we went looking for a sectional couch. It was 5:30pm and they close at 6:00pm. When we walked in, the first thing she did was come up to us and inform us that she was closing in 15 (not 30) minutes and asked what we were looking for. We told her and she proceeded to give us a walk by of every single sectional in the store; didn't ask us if we liked any of them, didn't ask what our price range or style interest was, etc. When we had seen them all she said something like "I'll let you think it over" and walked away. Needless to say, we left) So, when I asked for my dining set they told me it was in the warehouse and not in the store. I asked why no one told me that 2 hours ago when I was on the phone and they said that all pick ups are done at the warehouse and handed me a piece of paper with directions on it. The guy sitting at the table chimed in and said that they sent it over there to package it up for me. Since I didn't buy a floor model, I had no idea what he was talking about, but I left very angry instead of flipping out. There was a guy walking around the furniture show room so I decided to tell him about the awful customer service. I followed the directions and found myself on the same road Penske is on... enough said. We found that the table had two missing pieces. I had to wait until Saturday morning to call. The guy who I saw the day before answered the phone. He told me he'd try to order me the parts that day, but since it was Saturday he likely wouldn't get the order in until Monday. I told him my back story and how angry I was. He said he was sorry to hear that, but that he was there the day before and was surprised to hear yesterday that I thought the customer service I got was bad then proceeded to justify himself and his employees and insist that the customer service wasn't bad. I was actually coaxed into arguing with him for another couple of minutes. He finally said they'd have someone out Wednesday to put it together for me. Called today and the woman on the phone told me they'd call me back on Thursday with an update. I asked what happened to my Wednesday delivery date and she said they couldn't know whether they could have it by then. When oh when will we be able to eat somewhere other than our coffee table? I can't speak to the furniture and mattress side, but for electronics, the Superstore is excellent. I've used them for numerous home audio/video projects. Their service is consistently tremendous. Jeff in particular is great, really knows his stuff, and goes out of his way to educate about the products. It's always been a great experience for us. We'll keep going back. read more

Six years ago, as we were constructing our new home, they came and pre-installed all of the necessary wiring for all of our home entertainment electronics and Internet. Over the years, they've been asked to stop out to tweak some things and/or upgrade equipment, and they have consistently been courteous, efficient, timely, and productive.
