Well, I needed a new mattress for myself this year and went again to see Theresa and tried out a bed I had been seeing ads for online, the Awara. Not only did I love the bed, but Theresa offered me the SAME price with the SAME extras that Awara was offering online, essentially making it the perfect deal. Andy and his young assistant removed the old mattress and box spring, and also rearranged two dressers to put the bed in my mother's preferred place. They were very professional and kind. In addition, they brought the old bedding back to the facility when someone there asked if they could have it! As if that wasn't good enough service, Andy came back again to adjust how the power cords were plugged in when the remote wasn't working. Quick fix. Still, we wanted to support a local business, so we returned to Burlington Furniture, and they agreed to match the competitor's price. We were given an estimated delivery date of 4/30. When we followed up, we were surprised to hear that our furniture wouldn't arrive for nearly two more months. We understand that delays happen, but we were frustrated by the lack of communication. I called the manager to get clarity and was told that the employee who gave us that update was no longer with the company. She promised to follow up--which she did--but she didn't provide a new delivery timeline. Instead, she told us the order wasn't actually delayed and that deliveries typically arrive two weeks after the estimated date. It's unclear why the original estimate wouldn't account for that window, and what's worse, I never heard back from the manager again. Ultimately, the delivery company brought our furniture just five days after the estimated date, which we appreciated--but the poor communication and lack of accountability from Burlington Furniture left a bad impression. We're happy with the product, but extremely disappointed in the service. Sadly, this experience has cost Burlington Furniture a customer.

I've made every payment on time for two years.Oh, you failed to pay the balance in the 24 months. No, we set it up to pay it in the 24 month timeframe. Turns out the good folks at mattress firm did not do that, and after making payments for two years I still owe what the bed initially cost because they're saying tacked on all of the interest that was deferred. See, it's not really 0%, they just deferred it to the end of the credit period, so if you pay it off, great, no interest, but if you trust that the payments were set up as you discussed with your salesman, and they didn't, you will be screwed. These people are scumbags and I will never spend another cent with this company. Buyer be ware, this place is shady.

When they pushed the refrigerator through the doorway of our living room (the best way to bring it in) they took a chunk out of the wall casing. They assured us it would be fixed. To fit the refrigerator into the opening between our cupboards the one anxious delivery guy pushed it so hard you could hear the hardwood floor scratching. I haven't looked under the refrigerator, but there is a noticeable scratch that is in FRONT of the refrigerator. That one makes me angry every time I clean the hardwood floors. The nicer delivery guy said he would make note of it and make sure it got fixed. We never heard from them. We called the Superstore and they said there was no note, but assured us they would take care of it through their delivery service. A few weeks later we called Superstore again. Nothing happened. My husband finally fixed the gouge in the wall board himself. He is not a handyman but since it is low to the floor it is at least white like the rest of the wall board. The scratches in the wood flooring are still pretty annoying. That said, I would probably buy from them again only because the local box stores are worse.

Regardless of your individual situation, if you do not follow this Ashley Furniture "policy" your delivery will be cancelled. It will not matter how clear you are with your sales person, or if the delivery arraignment is written out on the sales paperwork. Andrew will cancel your delivery. This is a horrible policy for elderly people who do not use technology or for individuals in complex situations. Ashley Furniture will not care, it's their "policy" and they will cancel your scheduled delivery. Please know, if you have an important delivery schedule to maintain, take my warning, do not assume the delivery is set. Do not think the text is for your benefit to confirm what you set up with your sales person. Call to confirm regardless of the arraignments you made the day you paid for your furniture and the arranged delivery of the furniture (Especially if it is a bed you are counting on sleeping on).
