This is a small Home Depot. They don't have nearly the inventory of a regular Home Depot. Asked an associate where to find something, and they gave me the wrong location. Horrific experience. I'm trying to sell my house and I supposedly had paint mix there (the sticker said the color on the lid), but when I opened the paint (after taking the day off of work) I discovered that the paint department never mixed the color so I had to take it back and take two hours out of my day to return it. I also purchased a dining room chandelier at the same time and when the electrician took it out of the box to install it, the wires had been cut so obviously it had been used. I had to pay a contractor $90 just to visit my home and now I have to return it, plus my house is supposed to be listed for sale in 2 days. Total incompetence... whoever sold me a damaged product and for the person who didn't mix the paint. Never again Home Cheapo. I'll use Lowe's and Amazon. read more

I was having a great and Day shopping, spending $$$ to remodel my house on 11/722 at 1:25pm As I was checking out, some Worker Diana Came over & took the cash register gun from me & told another employee to cash me out! They were small items & big items in my cart! So I told the guy I was shopping for 2 other people that I would ring up the small items, bag them accordingly, then I would let him ring up the rest! HE AGREED Also he can stand there & watch me! I gave him the gun back after I was finished separating my items as he watched me! During this whole time Diana came over with a rude tone in her voice, telling me that I am not Capable of ringing out my itema & that I cant! I explained to her that I own multiple businesses and that Her customer service sucks! That she was really rude & that she should be put in the back away from people if you can't handle being friendly! She explained to me thats why her HUSBAND BOUGHT HER A 3CARTS RING WORTH 6 FIGURES & that say differently! WOW I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE! She was about 60 years old like an 17 year old! read more

In 2011, Home Depot replaced windows in our home. In 2020, but still within the warranty period, the windows and installation began to deteriorate. After 6 weeks, a service rep came to the house but he knew nothing of the issue with the installation. For another 10 weeks, we continued to contact Home Depot, they sent a tile and granite specialist to caulk the windows. At that time, the tile technician reported that the aluminum finish was not installed correctly because there were gaps at the window. He temporarily inserted foam insulation, but reported this was only a temporary fix. We independently called three contractors, each one said the windows were not installed properly. We contacted Home Depot again, and three weeks later the technician came out and said the incorrect J channel was used, water was getting in, and the wood frame was rotted. In January 2024, we noticed rain water had been seeping through the windows and into our home. Based on the damage incurred, this rain water seepage had been going on for quite some time, possibly since the installation in 2011. Workmanship is sub-par, customer service is lacking, and warranties are not upheld. read more

I came in today for another 200 pieces of 2x4x8 the Burrill it's 10.98 a piece. Then I needed 100 pieces of 2x6, and 100 sheets of plywood. You guys just missed another big sale because of some incompetent worker John. Because he doesn't want to work. Wish I would have stayed home. I was about to buy an Alexa activated door locking system on Amazon but had questions so I decided to go to Home Depot. After being at the store for over an hour and getting no help from store associates I did some more googling on my phone while I'm the store and decided on one of the locks that was listed on the Home Depot website for 206. Whitehall did not have it so I drove over to lehigh street according to website had 3 in stock. The price tag there was higher than online so I took it to the counter and asked for a price match for the price listed on their website. They said they don't match their website and if I wanted that price I could buy it in my phone right now and then get in line at the customer service counter and wait for them to walk back over to the counter to pick it up. I waited in line at customer service for several minutes deciding if I wanted to purchase this way but after the line not moving and already wasting a few hours of my day I gave up. I ended up leaving and just buying the same lock on Amazon for 189 which is what I should have done in the first place. Cheaper and much less of a hassle since the employees at Home Depot are of no help anyways. Got home, started installing it and guess what. It was a returned item and was missing parts. Also, it did not work. Ok, I take it back and they hand me another which I open at the service counter.....used they hand me a third one, again, used and missing parts. Are you kidding me? The isles were crowded and unorganized, and there was ZERO staff around to help. The online ordering system/in-store management is atrocious. I ordered a $5 part online. Well over 24 hours later the part still wasn't ready for pick up. I literally had to drive to the store to pick the item off of the shelf (20 pieces still available) to purchase it. Then I cancelled the online order. I shouldn't have to do their job for them. Additionally, their COVID-19 plan badly needs revisited. Corporate desperately needs to step in to retrain/rehire management. Average employees are great. I would not recommend this store to anyone. This store is old, dark and dingy looking. There is never anyone around to help. I am absolutely disappointed with their return policy. I purchased a washing machine from here and a service plan. The washing machine was so so. Wasn't really crazy about it. Called the store to inquire about an exchange and I was told there are no returns. Once you use it, you're stuck with it. Lowe's gives you a 30 day satisfaction guarantee. Don't like it? Bring it back within 30 days and pick out something else. Simple as that. A couple of months ago, I purchased an item on the website and picked it up at the store in one of the lockers. Very easy and took only a couple of minutes. Today I purchased another item on the website, but had to go to customer service to retrieve it. It was not a pleasurable experience today. After waiting in a long line at customer service, when I got to the register, the first thing the person did was call an associate to remind them her shift was ending and needed someone to take her place. Then, at first, she couldn't find my item. Moral of this story: Only purchase items you can pick up from a locker so you don't have to interact with their customer service people. read more

Let me start by saying it has taken me almost 3 months to gather enough composure to orchestrate and deliver a civilized, mature review for this dumpster fire of an establishment. I'm refraining from diving into the details of my experience, but I will dedicate some of my valuable time to highlight the glaring incompetence. 1. Their e-commerce platform is dated and does not have the ability to keep up with the overwhelming demand (during a pandemic, I'll give the benefit of the doubt on this one) 2. Their 3rd party carrier (J.B. Hunt) also does not have the ability to keep up with demand. Orders are automatically marked as delivered and complete on their delivery due date, in some cases (including mine) even without being picked at the local store. 3. Communication is non-existent. If I didn't call customer service (local & national) I would probably still be waiting for my $2,000 order. 4. Not only did their ASM (Mike) blatantly lie to me twice, his decision making in general is incredibly poor. Imagine thinking you can safely haul 16' pieces of lumber with an 8' bed pick-up. Unreal. 5. The store manager (Rick) and associate (Jason) actually deserve a positive shout out. Both we're very helpful, and Rick actually threw some foul language back at me. I'm all about the reciprocated energy. Anyway, this place absolutely STINKS and I'll never come within 100 yards of another Home Depot again. No amount of money or apology will change that. We purchased a refrigerator with water and ice on the door and the ice line installation kit. We were told it would be installed as long as we have a water line and valve within 6 feet of the fridge. We told them we had a plumber install a new standard valve on our existing water line directly behind the fridge. They said thats good and this is all we need. The fridge was delivered but could not be installed because the valve and connection were different sizes. I had to pay the plumber to come out and install the ice maker line because Home depot sold me the wrong size product. I called Home depot and they said its our responsibility to install if something isn't right. They only install as a courtesy. Ill be using other improvement stores from now on. read more

Veterans BEWARE: I visited Home Depot today to buy a portable air conditioner for a spare room in my house. I have to say that I was pretty motivated to buy it because I knew that I could get 10% off with my Veteran's Discount. I have used this discount before and never had a problem! So I go up to the cashier area and had to wait for a while for an employee to get free to put in my discount. The young lady was nice enough and gladly put in her codes for me to get the 10% off. At that point I paid for the air conditioner. After the receipt printed out, I wanted to take a look at it to see how much money I had saved. I was shocked to see that I only saved Forty Cents! The discount only applied to the power strip I bought with the air conditioner and NOT the 319 dollar air conditioner itself! I confronted the 'pseudo' cashier with my receipt and asked her why? She looked at my receipt with a bewildered look and called over one of her associates. The other associate said that sometimes things that are 'special buy' or 'sale' items do not allow the veterans discount. She then said that she had the same problem with an earlier customer and had to manually put in the discount. I asked her if she could do that for me and she said NO. I had "already paid for it and would have to return it at customer service first." At this point I was really frustrated and nobody seemed to really want to help me resolve this. I went to customer service and returned everything I bought and left the store. I'm sorry, but If you are going to honor us Veterans than it needs to be ALL or Nothing. Why should it be a mystery as to what does and does not qualify for a Veteran Discount? Thats just poor customer service. I never have this problem with my Vet discount at Lowes. Over the past 20 years I have probably spent over a million dollars at this Home Depot. At this point I dont think I will ever go back. Lowes is a quater of a mile away and at least I will be treated well there. read more

Went here to buy a grill and propane (should be easy right?) and they must have had an all-new staff because it couldn't have been harder. First employee said he would help find the grill and then promptly disappeared. Eventually found another employee who was able to lead us to the grill we wanted. We went to go check out and asked about buying propane, and the lady at the register did not seem sure how to do this, but sold us something anyways and told us to go to the garden section to pick it up. Walked over to the garden section to find the first employee who had ditched us in the grill section wandering aimlessly. Eventually had to hunt down yet another employee, who took us to even another employee, who then took our receipt and wandered off with it for a good 15 minutes while we sat around like idiots. He finally came back to inform us that we had been sold an empty tank of propane, and that we'd need to do an exchange, so instead we just waited in line for another 15 minutes to "return" the tank of propane we never got. Went down the street to Lowe's and were out of the store with our propane in 5 minutes. Now if only home depot could refund my wasted time. read more

This location do not know how to treat their customers. When i tell you, you have to fight with them to spend your money that is what it feels like. The sales staff hides,no one around to help you when you need it. When you do get an associate they are not knowledgeable about there dept. Corporate needs to come in and do an overhaul. This location has the potential to make a lot of money, but because of the staff this location will never meet their potential. The GLENNWOOD LOCATION KNOWS HOW TO TREAT THEIR CUSTOMERS. I told my father to never go back to that location. It should not be so hard to find a salesperson when you want to spend your money to generation revenue for a store. DO NOT have Home Depot complete and remodeling or installation projects for your home. We recently contracted with them to "reface" our kitchen cabinets. The sub contractor they sent to our home was pleasant and knowledgeable. There were a few minor issues which he handled. However, there is absolutely no response from Home Depot after the completion of the work. We left 3 voicemail messages for our contact with regard to the project, sent 1 email to the same contact and called a 4th time and spoke with a gentleman name Roger who took the information and said he would pass it along to our contact. To date, we have not received a call back. So to put it concisely, once the sale is made, you are chopped liver if you need anything after that. read more

Never buy an appliance from Home Depot unless you plan to deliver and install it yourself. This is not saying anything bad about the Store itself or the staff in the Stores ( Whitehall and Allentown). I love the Stores and find the people (when you can find them) very helpful and knowledgeable. This review is about buying an appliance at Home Depot.com (although the same applies to appliances purchased at one of the Stores since they use the same delivery service.)and the consumer nightmare that followed. In PA Home Depot uses a company called RAS Delivery for delivery and installation. After 3 visits to my home my new oven had still not been installed,and half of my old oven was not hauled away. Complaints to Home Depot Appliance delivery support were useless. Home Depot has little or no control over RAS and couldn't even get a work order to haul away the old oven and install the new one done right. RAS is simply a horror story. Their people are unmotivated, incompetent, less than honest and in one case criminal . Rather than repeat all the gory details here please check out my Google review on RAS and the 10, pages of negative reviews of Home Depot, including mine on my3cents.com. After the 3 visits, having been lied to by RAS multiple times and Home Depot Support ( I think the support rep didn't intentionally lie but simply had no clue what Home Depot's website said about delivery and installation), I had other people dismantle my old oven to make it lighter for RAS,( I still got grief about hauling away the the 1/2 oven shorn of its drawer and door to make it even lighter).and had the same friends install my new oven. Counting the portable power tool that one member of the 2nd RAS crew stole from my home and the dinner I rewarded the friends who installed the new oven and dismantled the old one with I am out about 200.00.
