The owner of the store will bend over backwards & try to please each & every customer. Just go in & browse and you will be amazed at the wide variety of products. If you don't see it...ask, cause they have lots more than you can see. The prices are even competitive against the big box stores, so save the time and buy local. Only real downfall is Mt Oliver Boro is diligent about collecting 25 cents, so make sure you feed the parking meter outside. read more

Miller Ace Hardware on Brownsville Rd. is the best! i have never been disapointed when I go. I go about 2-3 times a year for mostly gardening supplies. The staff are friendly and over the top helpful, even at 7:00 PM near closing time. I forgot something so i had to go to the Toooo Big Box Store early the next morning. i received the worst service, the sales person sold me the wrong thing which i had to return. miller ace hardware id double dipping and got caught and very disrespectful. i have web cam placed in my apartment because the government keep a eye on me. i tryed for the landlord to change lock on my door because i did not feel safe. i do business at ace hardware on brownsvilleroad that's independent.i purchase a lock yself but could not do it and nobody would help me.ace said they had handyman and gave me card. i talked to honeywell and he said $89 dallors. i got the money and went to store for them to calland have them come to my home to replace lock. ace sent one of there worker's a young kid from carrick seventeen and the lock is defective. someone came in my apartment takening the web cam i had placed and tryed to find the items that i have for the fda to investage. sorry but i trust no one so i keepthem near. i have the recipt and i want my money back. the cost of there items is to high anyway. i am going to push this to the fullest,i'm so hurt that i can not trust nobody.first lady theresa carroll independent. read more

This is a deceptively large Ace Hardware. I usually only see an Ace Hardware this large when it is in a rural setting. The owners have expanded through several of the first floors of several adjoining buildings on the Mt Oliver Main Street. As with many of the businesses open in Downtown Mt Oliver, parking is anemic. Luckily, if you visit at the proper time you won't have to worry about finding a space since there is a large percentage of vacant spots. All of the associates at this Ace are very friendly and more than willing to help answer any questions you have. They don't have everything, but they do have a lot. And much like Yin and Yang, you can always visit the True Value down the road to find what they don't have. read more

My boy M and I were trying to grill out on a Sunday and needed a hose for the gas stove. The store closed at 5 on a sunday, and as it was 4:50, we were hurrying to catch them. Calling ahead, we got a courteous young man that helped us with selection and ensured us that we wouldn't arrive at a closed store. The prices and selection are good and the service is nice. No complaints at all. We did buy the wrong thing, not a fault of the stores, but as the clerk made sure to remind us to take our receipt, we were easily allowed to return it for the correct piece. read more

THese guys (and gals) are so knowledgeable and helpful. They ask about what you're working on and then offer a solution, not just info on what things to buy. There's always plenty of help available - they just seem to know how stuff works (probably from personal experience), so you don't get lead astray and end up having to come back and return things to them. read more

First time in the store to buy adapters for recessed lighting. Soon as I walked in the door I was greeted by a very nice cashier. Everybody very helpful. I explained what I was looking for and was given an excellent explanation of what to do. Some of the items were the wrong size (my fault) and I exchanged them the next day without any problem at all.
