I placed an online order at 3:30pm on July 8, the online portal stated the products were in stock, great the store is open until 9:00pm. I paid and placed the order and waited for notification. Order was confirmed by email and text. I was to be notified when to pick up the order. I waited until 11:00 am the next day, no notification. I called the store I was informed they were pulling my order, I received an email stating my order was ready to pick up. When I arrived at the store I was informed they did not have the products. The employees didn't seem to know how online ordering functions. They informed me I would receive a refund in a day or two, I ask to be refunded on site at the store. It's really nice to have a store like Busy Beaver in the neighborhood. Instead of having hundreds of options for grills, plants, supplies, etc. there's a curated, more specific inventory and you can get almost everything you need in one spot. The prices are going to be a bit higher than what you would see at a big box store but that's to be expected. read more

Solid hardware store alternative to the big box stores and treasured spot in the neighborhood. While they obviously can't carry the wider selection you'd find at Home Depot or Lowe's, you will be surprised how well stocked this store is. They have most everything you need and great specials. read more

I purchased peel and stick tiles. I had a clean surface. I installed the tiles and within 5 minutes the corners lift. I called the store and the mgr said to bring them in for an exchanged or refund I told him I have a photo and would not lift the tiles as I have 4 dogs and did not want to expose the underlayment to dirt. He would not accomodate my request for a refund with the remaining tiles and receipt. I was going to return this weekend to purchase a storm door, but will go elseware. read more

Wonderful customer service and enthusiasm by the staff. I was greeted and helped as I entered the door. There was an amazing $2 tarp special at the counter that I also purchased. The prices were reasonable and the customer service was tops. The parking lot was big and I was in and out of the store in no time. read more

Hostile assistant manager name Patricia. I had been there many times before, often with my backpack because it is on the way to my business in Lawrenceville. They evidently put up a sign saying to leave it at the counter. However, it was not in plain view. We went to the front and found somebody had moved it to the side. She treated me like a criminal and never apologized for her behavior. I contacted the manager and got no response. She was curt, rude and arrogant. And when it was clear the fault was hers she made no apology. I have a yellow great deal card from them but I won't be using it anymore. Not going there again. Had a great experience my first time in the new busy beaver in Lawrenceville. After having to rely on home depot for almost all my hardware store purchases, I'm glad to have an alternative in my own neighborhood. They had everything I was looking for for my painting project and it seems like they have stocked up with winter supplies like salt and shovels early in the season. The staff was friendly and helpful and actually available to help when you need it. I was actually surprised at how big the store was, and they really do have everything you need. I can't tell you how lucky we are in Lawrenceville having our own hardware store so close. And it isn't a tiny place that really doesn't have anything that you really might need. This is a serious hardware store! The people are friendly, the selection is deep and broad, and the prices aren't bad. A little bit more expensive than Home Depot, but for the convenience and to feel good about supporting a local business I was happy to pay the price. Great parking too! read more
