When ordering a massive $1000.00 project to be delivered, the Home Depot Rep didn't even repeat what she entered into the computer to verify everything that I had ordered. There were specific lumber sizes and quantities. She just entered and gave the total price. After I paid blindly without confirmation, I received the order packet, sat there, and THOROUGHLY read through exactly what I just paid for out loud for her, my husband, and I to confirm. People make mistakes typing/ listening/ etc. and without the order repeated back, I became skeptical. When booking deliveries, Home Depot needs to specify they come to your house AS EARLY AS 6AM. When told "anytime during the day" it's common sense/knowledge to assume 8AM-8PM UNLESS TOLD OTHERWISE. We missed our delivery because they indeed called/texted/knocked at 6AM. My phone notifications are off and I was asleep. Now I'm having to reschedule the entire project. Customer service includes being detail-oriented and mindful of the customer order. Why 3 Stars and not one? - because after calling to explain the situation, the Home Depot Representative was very understanding and empathetic to what my situation was. This location has the friendliest staff at any Home Depot anywhere!!! Every employee we walked past, they greeted us with a genuine smile and how's it going?! We placed an order for a $4,300 RV garage door. We had to travel to get that pricing as it was $2,000 more for the same exact product in Lake Havasu. So we placed the order with millworks. Fernando was great. We picked up the door. It was loaded on a flat bed trailer in the original packaging. When the packaging was opened to install, there was a dent on one of the panels. We had to install anyways to get final inspection on the build. When I called in to see my options, I was advised to contact an Amber who turned out to be ZERO help. A week later her business manager contacted me. She too was ZERO help and offered $100 partial refund. What a joke. Clopay, the door manufacturer, wanted to charge us another $800 for the single panel. It is embarrassing for a multi billion dollar business like Home Depot to disregard their customers like this and to sell them damaged products and fail to rectify the issue appropriately. I recently moved to Sun City with a lot of small household needs, and have been going to Home Depot in Perris off & on for about a year. I have ALWAYS found the floor staff to be uniquely friendly, helpful, & knowledgeable. I recently had an exceptional encounter with a check out clerk named Wendy. I was a bit confused, & a bit miffed, by a small, but irritating, pricing discrepancy. I briefly mentioned it to Wendy, & WOW, she dazzled me with interaction. First, she listened carefully, & fully engaged my concern. She could have easily sluffed it off but she did not. She was both sympathetic, & understanding. She was also very patient, & took the time to explain the discrepancy, which was actually MY error in judgment. I was very impressed with her customer service, & left the store feeling valued. Absolute worst customer service! Waited almost 20 minutes for the cage to be unlocked, and still no one showed. Scanned the QR code, and asked 3 associates for assistance, and still no help. As I was standing there waiting I heard over the intercom someone in saw needed help. That was repeated about 3 times all while 4 employees were standing laughing a giggling. Ordered a dishwasher, paid for the coverage and install. Dishwasher handle had to be repaired due to installer. Dishwasher wasn't shimmed in the opening correctly so there's a 3/8" gap between the dishwasher and the cabinet. If I knew the installer was gonna suck this bad, I'd have saved a couple hundred bucks and done it myself. Never again. 2 stars only because support made the handle repair happen relatively quickly. read more

Your associate says it is because they are big and and another associate said maybe it is a seasonal item. I was buying a few other things and went to check out in the garden department. Once again the registers don't work. She tried both registers but neither one worked. I left without buying anything and went to Lowe's in Menifee. They had 20x36 AC filters and their registers work. The kitchen remodeling service is a an organized scam. I will revise this review with full details later, but for now, I just want my local community to not make the same expensive mistake we made. They claim to streamline the project and provide quality service. It's all talk just to sell you. Once you pay, they're good -- box checked, goal met. It's now you vs. the contract they shoved in your face to sign. Calls aren't returned, emails aren't answered. Deadlines are missed. Worst of all, they have no communication with their subcontractors. None. The client (hopefully never you) gets to mediate the communication between Home Depot and their own subcontractors. Everybody points fingers at someone else. Even the smallest request (like having the option to choose which area of the stone slab is used for island) is made into a big deal that has to go through their confused system. Our project coordinator, Sonia, had to call the countertop installers to be informed that she gave us the wrong date for their arrival. She prefers the backseat spectator approach. And that, unfortunately, is the culture of the company. Their slogan: NO RESPONSIBILITY, ZERO ACCOUNTABILITY. Everyone is checked out like they have permanent food coma. I requested to speak with a supervisor last week and they said, of course, they'll call that same afternoon. Nope. If you do sign up with Home Depot for remodeling just know that you're gonna become your own full time project coordinator. read more

I placed a very large order online. It was about $5,000 worth of material. When it got delivered some of the items were wrong. It actually shipped from the Hemet home Depot to my house. When I went back to get the issue resolved it was a long process but it did get handled. The issue was not with the store but with their fulfillment team and their payment processors. There were about 6 different persons who worked very hard and long to get things straightened out and even called me days later just to make sure refunds were received and the correct material was received. Even though this caused the job to get delayed, the effort of the pro and customer service desk individuals is what pros need to be able to be successful in the service industry. read more

Your basically on your own here, no one will offer to help to you. In fact they'll walk right by and avoid you if possible. Once you've able to catch someone for assistance they will rush as fast a possible to be done with you and rush off. The store is cramped inside and over stocked with a lot of useless stuff you don't need. Kinda feels like an over stocked Dollar store full of junk. Regarding the items you need for your projects, they probably won't have enough. This is a pet peeve for me. They have only a few staffed checkouts, which never seem to be opened forcing everyone to self checkout. Came in to get a new washer, as my old one has been recalled. They don't have a lot of washers on the floor, but if you see it online and they have it in stock, they deliver to you in a few days. I had to flag someone down to help me, but after doing so, I was satisfied with the service I received. A young man named David helped me. He was very courteous and explained the warranty, delivery process and return policy very clearly. My new washer wqs delivered in 4 days and I am loving it! The delivery guys came within the time frame I was given and were in and out in less than 20 minutes! 4 stars because I had to flag someone down, but overall I was satisfied and scored even more with the military discount! read more

Following up from my last review a month ago...my opinion still stands. Please stop hiring young girls who have no clue what they're doing! I came in today to grab some items. Went to self check out because that was all that was open. My total came to $220 and I had a $68 store credit I wanted to use. I mistakenly used an old ID to scan when entering the store credit hence resulting in it being denied. It called the representative over. I explained I used the wrong ID and just needed rescan the correct one. She said I'll have to start over and scan everything again to be able to do this because the system will say "temporary offline". I'm like is there any other way. That is super inconvenient and quite frankly it's dumb! Nope that's the only way. At this point I'm pissed and rescan all 24 items, go to pay and guess what? The money from my store credit is no longer there. So I call someone else to assist. Guess what this chick does, she prints out a receipt indicating everything I just scanned so as she's checking what happened you can just scan the bottom of this paper/receipt instead of rescanning again. Genius! There is always another way. Apparently the other chick didn't know this or was being a bitch. We will never know. I ended up leaving and just paying my total without use of my store credit because now apparently I need to go to customer service. I think not. The worst experience I have ever had shopping here - To the girl and her manager who were in charge of self checkout today around 11am - I hope your day improves because whatever chip you have on your shoulder should never be put on a customer ever. I was shocked that only one self checkout register was open and then she proceeded to grab my things and scan them for me. Of course my confusion was in my body language. So I went with it and just looked around waiting for her to finish. I wasn't the one who prompted any conversation and I wasn't even going to say anything but the girl checking me out - at "self checkout" asks me what is my problem. So I just answered her by saying having her check me out at self checkout kinda defeats the purpose of self checkout. She then proceeds to ask if I want to speak to the manager which I was shocked at since I literally had no issue and was just going with the flow until she said something to me. She finishes scanning my items, so I proceed to pay. Then the manager comes out attacking me as well asking what my problem was. I repeated what I previously said. She then said customers have complained about having to check themselves out. So I just walked away and mentioned - then why can't they go to the other registers? WTF? I don't even understand this. Absolutely no logic to this and definitely no common sense happening. If I truly have a problem with something worth my energy of bringing it up, I definitely don't need to be prompted by the worker to do so. Five stars for Anita in plumbing for saving us over $375 on a BIG plumbing problem in our backyard. Hubby tried to unscrew our old broken hose and broke off the whole metal hose spigot. Nothing but the copper stub left. Water gushing everywhere! No way to shut it off without shutting off the main water line to our entire house! So, to the main shut off, by our front door, we ran. We had no running water because of this problem and it was Sunday. We made at least 5 calls to different plumbers who told us it would cost over $375 for a house call on a Sunday. (Yes! They wanted to charge us $375 for a Sunday house call. Can we all say total rip off?) Hubby watched a couple of youtube videos and with my encouragement, we decided to fix it ourselves! So, off to Home Depot hubby nervously drove. Enter Anita from Home Depot to the rescue. She knew exactly what to do and what we needed to buy even before hubby asked... a torch, solder and flux... new 1/2 inch hose spigot... the whole tamale. BOOM! Done! So, for less than $75 for EVERYTHING... and a half hour's worth of sweat equity in 100 degree heat... we fixed our "BIG" plumbing problem ourselves. Thanks Anita! Our sprinkler system, hose, and backyard plants are saved. And, we have water in our house again. We can take a shower tonight! To think we would have paid a plumber $375 to fix this issue? I purchased a generator for over $1200 and it did not last even six months in comparison I have Honda generators over 15 years old that run as well as the day I purchased them the DeWalt generator 4600 wants is what I'm referring to return policy customer service all failed me. Immanuel the outside garden cashier needs to be retrained in customer service. We were looking for a specific wheelbarrow and asked if there were more inside. He said there wasn't. When we asked if he could send someone to help us because the outside ones were locked up and not priced, he rattled off a few price ranges but would not actually help us or call someone. We walked through garden and found associate Tucker. He was more than helpful and walked us back outside, unlocked the wheelbarrows and scanned for pricing. We met Angela in the appliance department who was very knowledgeable, professional and helpful. Maritza referred a contractor to me. I gave her my Home Depot card to pay for their services. I found out 3 days later, Maritza gave my home depot credit card number (with a different last name) to the contractor. I had to have ci stomper care cancel the card and reissue me another one. Also, Maritza had my city address as Quail Valley instead of Menifee. When I went old her the city was wrong, she said the system does that sometimes - interchange Menifee with Quail Valley. My son and I are in the process of re-doing my floors in the house, so we went to Home Depot to pick up tools. We were greeted and helped by Sarah and Brooks. Sarah works in the Powertools department. She was very helpful provided us excellent customer service and was very knowledgeable on all of her products. Brooks works up in the front as a cashier.
