Worst appliance buying experience ever! Went to HD on 12/17. Rude employee starts typing up a sales slip after I asked her about a specific washing machine. Oh, we don't have it. Well, could you show me one like it? No. So I have to pay for my item sight unseen. I order online. Why bother going to the store? Given 3 delivery dates. Took time off the first 2 times. Third time, I said, I'm not taking anymore time off, deliver & install by 11am or I will cancel. We think it will be delivered possibly between 10:30 & 2:30. That doesn't work for me. Cancel & refund. Oh, that credit will be returned to your HD account. No, I don't want credit. I want my money back!! Will never buy anything from HD again. read more

I want to write this quick recommendation of Home Deport in North Hampton, NH. I recently had a problem where I had set up a truck rental over the internet. When I got to the store the computer system wouldn't allow the rental to proceed. The attendant at the service desk worked to get around the issue but with no luck. She brought in the Customer Experience Manager, Glenn W., to escalate the issue. Up until now things were proceeding along with their typical solid efforts. But this is when it was kicked up to "11" and really took my breadth away. Glenn, the CEM, worked with people in other stores But eventually decided that the truck couldn't be rented to me due to the computer glitch. He could have just apologized to me, offered me a future rental at a discount or some other perk. He didn't. He did SO MUCH MORE. He offered to be my (his words not mine) "chauffeur for the day" and drive me to where I needed to go to pick up my things with the truck. He then spent an hour with me and helped me get things done in a reasonable time. To say the least I was blown away! I have always been impressed by Home Depot for their services. I can buy goods anywhere but I choose to buy them at Home Depot whenever possible because I know they have my back. Things happen; products have issues; computers get glitches. It's what a company does to help the customer when something happens that separates OK places from good places. And in this case - a great place. This is just the most recent and, frankly, most dramatic, example I can give. Kudos to Glenn and the entire Home Depot customer experience team in North Hampton, NH. Felt I should write a review as this Home Depot seems different than most I have shopped at. The typical Home Depot customer service is typically lacking, but we recently bought a fire pit and other outdoor furniture at this location and I have to say we had exceptional customer service on the purchase and delivery. My wife returned to buy covers for the firepit and chairs, and again was offered help with measuring the covers and chairs, a level of service I would never expect at a Home Depot. I'm sure mileage will vary depending on who is working at the time, but just wanted to say kudos to the folks who have been working here on our last few visits. It felt more like shopping at a smaller retailer than a big box. read more

Decent location, the older gentlemen at the self checkout were really nice, didn't appreciate having some woman come up behind me after I paid, to reprint my receipt and check it to make sure I scanned everything, when I was basically surrounded by employees the entire time that were all enamored by the Halloween decorations I was buying. I don't shop at Home Depot very often because the service is not great, especially if you're a woman. This evening was no different. I went to our local Home Depot because they were supposed to have 334 bags of pet-friendly ice melt in stock. These bags were 20 pounds for $12.97 each and I needed 2. I got there and asked two different gentlemen where to find them. They didn't really know and didn't ask anyone from the stock room, then sent me off looking on my own. Because we're having a storm tomorrow, I needed ice melt so I ended up having to buy 2 of the 8lb shakers for 12.97 each...so 16 lbs instead of 40lbs for 25.94. I went there today it wasn't too busy and not one associate asked me if I needed help and I was actually looking for one because I had questions. currently a contractor most of the time general Handyman plus .I found that this location is very convenient not always busy like Seabrook Portsmouth. But usually pretty good stock shelf situation they make sure they put eyes on the product to make sure that it's in stock. They also have some pretty good clearance here. Do not use Home Depot for any projects at your home. They use a subcontractor who then subcontracts to another company. 1) Neither of the two workers could communicate in English. A 3rd person arrived who spoke broken English. 2) They were late showing up every day. 3) The project was not completed on time (2 days late). 4) Imperfections were discovered after they left. Shame on HD for allowing the use of workers who could not communicate with their customer. read more

Don't waste your money, go buy appliances or larger items that need to be delivered and installed from a more reputable business that will actually follow through on what they promise and what you pay money for rather than being like us... four months after full payment and NO delivery! First delivery, damaged and then three more FULL SATURDAYS waiting around for promised deliveries that NEVER ARRIVED! Then to be given lies and finger pointing that it was the manufacturers fault, the delivery services fault.... They are incompetent! We ordered a washer and dryer from Home Depot on 11/24/2018. We were waiting for the call to tell us our delivery date. After weeks had passed, we called them only to find out they had sold us a back ordered item. We recv'd a delivery date in mid-december for January 3,2019. The date of our delivery, our items arrived very damaged to the point where the dryer door didn't properly close. After arguing with the drivers, who wanted to just leave the new washer on our open screened porch to wait for arrival of a replacement dryer since they refused to install the new washer without the new dryer, we had to refuse the entire delivery. We were given a new delivery date of March 16, 2019 because AGAIN the items were on backorder! March 16, 2019 comes and goes, NO DELIVERY! We call and they tell us our product has been discontinued and is no longer available! We have already PAID IN FULL in December of 2018 for these items! HOURS on the phone arguing, going back and forth, to finally be told we will receive the newer models and will be delivered today March 23, 2019. The Home Depot manager promises us delivery, sends us an email reassuring us delivery will happen on March 23, 2019! We get the call the night before along with an email telling us our items will be delivered between 7am - 11am. We spend our morning dismantling the washer and dryer, cleaning the area, removing the door from the hinge in the laundry room so the delivery drivers can get in and out with our new appliances easier. It is NOW 1:42pm, NO DELIVERY, NO WASHER AND DRYER! We call and they say your items ARE ON BACKORDER!!!!! I have paid thousands of dollars for a new washer and dryer that I STILL DO NOT HAVE! We call home depot and NO ANSWER! We call MAYTAG and they say you never had a delivery scheduled for today, your items are on back order and are not even here! LIED to again by Home Depot! NEVER EVER EVER AGAIN WILL I DO BUSINESS WITH HOME DEPOT! Not looking forward to another round of back and forth and blaming other people for what is most definitely Home Depot's inefficiency and poor customer service! I was at HomeDepot in North Hampton , NH and rented a pickup truck. first off these are first come first serve. I rented the truck and left. came back 2 hours later where the representitive behind the counter told me I should have had the truck back 45 minutes ago (eventhough there is no time limit) Audra G I believe is what her name was. she then began to say these trucks they rent are for customers buying items at the store. which is weird because I have spent just over 6500.00this current monthly bill statement, no not that particular time and day but the month of mid May to mid June 2018. She berraded myself and my sister in law, would not go check the truck for damage or gas, she asked for the reciept for gas wouldnt make a copy for me. I needed the reciept because this was a work rental. She brushed us aside took the keys basically out of my hands and then told us that a (PAYING) customer was waiting for the truck and she fidnt have time to go look it over. she slid my reciept over the counter and told us she needed to "deal" with another customer. So she brushed us off. when we left the store after rethrning the truck it was about 15 minutes after dropping the truck off and being brushed off, the truck still had not been rented. i want you to know that there is no time limit on the trucks. I'm paying 19.99 for the first 75 minutes and 5.00 for every 15 minutes after. I dont know why it makes sense to be rude sigh and just plain be bad at her job to a customer who spent a little over 10,000 between the 3 local stores in the last 6 months. why? thank you Audra G located at the North Hampton , nh store. you have lost a customer and possibly lost my company as a pro member and customer. If home Depot cared about theit customers they should fire you tomorrow. Lowes would gladly accept us as customers. Home Dope needs to train their associates better. Curbside sucks. I've been waiting 25 minutes still nobody's here to deliver my package. Why???

I recently switched from Lowes to Home Depot. Up until Saturday my experiences were great. I walked in and went to the paint counter and inquired about a specific brand of paint roller. I asked the old fart at the paint counter about the brand and he indicated that they don't carry that brand any more. I walked around the corner and there was a whole shelf of that brand. I walked by the old fart and said I found it sarcastically and he didn't even look up. I then asked for a manager. When the cashier called up to a manager he refused to come down and talk with me. I was steaming at this point. Another manager came over and basically said that he was t surprised at the old farts behavior. Why do they employ these people? I had a client come in today and I told him the story and he said oh yea, that ass. Point made. read more

Tried to have keys made today. When I finally got someone to make them after 5-10 minutes, the guy took them and asked how many dupes. I said I would be back in 1.5 hours and he said they would be done and in a drawer under the key machine. I came back and the originals were there, but no dupes. The guy was nowhere to be found. I had to flag down someone who delegated to a young kid, who said he d be right with me. 7 -10 minutes and 2 more people behind me, still no help. Left, went to Loew s down the street-out in 10 minutes with 9 spare keys. read more

After 15 years and spending tens of thousands of dollars in this store I'm done - some good people there but too much inconsistency and overall poor management, I'll go to Seabrook or Portsmouth instead (or Lowes for that matter) read more

I do most of my business in Seabrook but come up here occasionally. Very nice and helpful staff. I'm helping a friend redo his house and he bought over 150 dollars of the wrong paint, half his fault half one of the employees. Communication barrier I guess. I came here with hopes of getting a discount or something, I never expected them to remake the paint with no additional cost. I didn't even ask. The gentleman just did it and apologized and wished me luck. I left hoping he didn't get in any kind of Trouble for it, but the rest of the products tools and materials needed to remodel this house will be exclusively purchased from this store.
