My wife returned to buy covers for the firepit and chairs, and again was offered help with measuring the covers and chairs, a level of service I would never expect at a Home Depot. I'm sure mileage will vary depending on who is working at the time, but just wanted to say kudos to the folks who have been working here on our last few visits. Because the wood was untumbled, I was left with two large tarps full of dirt, bark and splinters to clean up and remove. I also received many pieces under 8 inches, which is far shorter than the 16-18-inch lengths promised. After I provided photos, a video, and measurements of the stacked wood and excess debris, the General Manager acknowledged the shortage and admitted that I received wood from "the wrong pile". A partial refund was offered, but it did not cover the cost to remove the excess debris or their failure to deliver the advertised product. What was most disturbing is that the owner entered my private, fenced, and gated backyard unannounced and without my permission when I was not home to measure the wood - after they had already admitted to the shortage and 'wrong' wood. This was a serious invasion of my family's privacy and made me extremely uncomfortable allowing them back to remove the debris, despite the General Manager's offer. I received significantly less wood than I paid for, with undersized pieces, excess debris, additional cleanup, and an invasion of my family's privacy. The partial refund did not adequately resolve the issues. Based on my experience, I would not recommend North Hill Nursery.
