Really, I've found a variety of odd bolts, downspouts, aluminum channel, and other things that I can never find at Home Depot. And the people know what they're talking about. I'm not saying that no one at Home Depot knows anything, but there's a difference. The pipefitter who's working as a Home Depot as a greeter is a nice guy and I wish him all the best, but the guy at Ricci who knows where every obscure nut and bolt is located does me more good. I haven't compared the prices. I doubt if Ricci is cheaper, but my guess is that they're similar in prices and frequently after I go to Home Depot, I have to stop at Ricci anyway.

But, to have an appliance in your home for three days and have it stop working is unacceptable. Home Depot, as well as Frigidaire provided virtually no customer service stating that they were simply following policy. How about following good customer service? Stopped into Lowe's, Greenland, NH Tue. April 15 to price a tool chest. Found a Craftsman and took…read morea picture of it on sale, $399. Spoke to 2 salespeople and asked lots of questions, including military discount, in stock, and cost of delivery. I decided $79 was too much. i told I would be back with my SUV. Came back Saturday night, 4/19 and apparently the sale went off on Friday. Nobody had told me that the sale would end Friday. MGR. COREY would not honor the sale price even though I showed him the pictures and that I was just there on Tuesday. Then he was trying to provoke me by saying you should've bought it them. Moot point. That's the way they treat women in this store. I had bought a home 1 yr. Ago. Bought lawnmower, power drill, snowblower, cellular shades and myriad of other household hardware at Lowe's. I left the store utterly perturbed. However, I returned because I needed the tool chest. Corey wouldn't mark it down to the sale price, but wanted me to open a Lowe's charge and he would give me $100 off.... But I already had a charge. I'm not finished with this story yet.

He was so helpful with guidance and advice. We then ran into Chip who also helped answer lots of great questions we had. The next day we went back to Lowe's and ran into Reed. He was also so resourceful and helpful. Coming from florida. I've never had anyone ever want to help us less if I went to find someone. For some reason this Lowe's has a bunch of wonderful helpful staff members that clearly love the company they are surrounded by. It was so an impressionable visit that I had to give a shout out. Thank you Lowe's for helping this city girl from learn about how to best live and enjoy the New England way. I've never had a great experience at a Home Depot and Lowe's. Honestly it felt like the workers hated when people needed something. I didn't see that happen here. Everyone was walking around, scouting to find someone to help. What a wonderful place to visit. The selection is endless and the store is really set up for dealing with people who know what they're doing, so I go to the web site, find what I need, print out the page, and bring it with me. The store is around the back of the building, so drive to the back and people will think you know what you're doing. If you happen to go at lunchtime and you like Greek food, be sure to check out the nearby Cafe Nostimo. It's just a few blocks away and it's amazing.

C&B is the only store in…read morethe area that carrys a good variety of good quality dishes that are al la carte - where you can purchase 10 plates of this or that. (not a boxed set). Belive it or not, C&B is one of the only stores in the area that do this! My list- 10 dinner plates, 10 small plates, 10 cereal / soup bowls. I also got 8 pasta bowls. That is all I needed. I decided on the Marlin Slate Blue dishes. Very nice color and quality. THey did have alot to choose from, BUT 80% of them were white. Not many colored ones,and/ or none with patterns (all solid colors). Peter assisted me and he was the bomb! He knows his job well and and was extreamly knowledgable, pleasant and helpful. I am not sure the price points from via the website to the regular non clearance stores but I thought that the prices were regular prices and not a "deal" if you will. The pasta dishes I wanted were not in the inventory so they will ship them to me ($18 charge) but no sales tax as they are being shipped to my NH address. My total today was $404.02
