Not only did he find us what we were looking for exactly, but also led us to better options. On the way out we asked Patrick a question. I ordered a vanity on February 10, 2022. I was told it was being delivered on February 21st. I even got an email the day before stating it would be delivered on that date. Around 3 pm, I still didn't receive it so I called customer service and was told it is in transit and I will receive it today. When I went in with the tracking number it said it was never received. So I sent a text to customer service and they confirmed it was lost. I spent the whole day waiting for this item. And if I never called in the first place I would still be waiting. Been going to this Home Depot for years. I don't personally believe that masks do anything to prevent Covid, but if the store makes me wear a mask I expect the employees to wear a mask 100% of the time. This specific location has proved to have a minimum of 1 employee per visit ( at least one visit every week since January, it's now October) that I have personally witnessed without their mask on. I had to tell a employee this past Saturday when asked if he could help me to put his mask on since our scumbag governor has mandated it and I'm forced to wear one. The manager needs to be fired ASAP. read more

Just came back empty-handed again from Hackettstown Home Depot. Went to buy snowblower skids which they, according to their website, had 4 different varieties/brands of and in quantities totaling 50 sets. Guess what? I asked where they were and was led to an end display with a variety of snowblower repair stuff and ONE pair of skid shoes that had a ripped opened package. I asked 3 associates to help. No one could find them. They looked it up on the computer and said "oh, they have no home. They could be anywhere." Wow, the craziest part? This is not the first time this has happened. Whoever the general manager of that store is has a lot of work to do. I'll be going to Lowe's from now on. read more

Here is a recap of my experience with Home Depot in trying to purchase and install a front door. Oct 12, 2018 - Nice and warm out, good time of year to install a front door Went to Home Depot and picked out the door I wanted. Sat with Mike from millwork and he wrote down the information and said he would send someone to take measurements. He did not want me to pay at that time, as he said he had to write up the quote. I had already purchased a storm door from Home Depot in August 2018 and this storm door was already on my property, waiting to also be installed. I had picked out a nickel door knob set, and Mike said not to pay for it that day, that he would hold onto it, and it would be delivered with the door upon installation. Oct 26, 2018 Measurement man came to the house to measure for the front door installation. He also wanted to measure the storm door that I had on my property. I walked him to the back yard and gave him access to the shed where the storm door was, and he measured it. (Why did it take 2 weeks to send someone to measure the door?) Week of Nov 3, 2018 - Starting to get cold out, I hope I have my door before it gets too cold and I lose heat out of my house while the installation is taking place in cold weather Mike called and left me a VM and asked if I could verify the measurements of the storm door. (If the measurement man already measured the storm door, why did he need verification from me?) Nov 7, 2018 Called Home Depot (1) and talked to a man who took the measurements from me on the storm door. He said he would update my information with this measurement. Nov 12, 2018 Called Home Depot (2) and asked what was going on, as I had not heard anything, no quote, no installation date. A woman told me I had to pay first before getting the installation scheduled. When I tried to pay, she said I would need the quote. When I said I didn't yet get the quote, she gave me more extensions to call (x130 - Joe, manager, x156 Gina who coordinates the installation). She also told me she would help to fix this and would talk to the appropriate people and they would get back to me. Nov 15, 2018 I received no calls from anyone. Called Home Depot (3) to find out what was going on, spoke to Joe on x130. He apologized and said they needed to go over the quote first, then I would need to pay, then the installation would be scheduled. I asked why it was taking over 3 weeks to get me a quote and he said he didn't know, but that he would work on fixing this. Elaina called me and left me a VM with the dollar amount of the quote. I had some questions, so I called her back (4) and she was gone, there was no one there to help me, however this was the day of the big snow storm. Nov 16, 2018 Called Home Depot (5) back to speak to Elaina on x422, she answered the phone, but was busy with a customer and told me she would have Mike from millwork call me back. Mike never called me back. Nov 18, 2018 - Now its'really cold out, I sure do hope I have my door installed by Thanksgiving! Called Home Depot (6) and reached Mike in millwork, we had a bad connection with my cell phone at the start of our conversation and I asked for him to call me right back on my house phone and he said yes. He didn't call me back. Called Home Depot (7) and reached Mile in millwork to finally ask my questions about the quote. I had my questions answered and now was ready to pay. I wanted to confirm with Mike that he still had the nickel doorknob set that he was holding for me, and he told me that I would need to stop into the store to buy the nickel doorknob prior to the installation, that he no longer was holding onto it. (Why would I have to make an extra trip to Home Depot to pick out the doorknob set that I already picked out and told would be delivered with my door?) I was able to pay for the quote (over 6 weeks after picking out the door on Oct 12th), and Mike told me that the installer would call me by Nov 21st. Nov 27, 2018 Thanksgiving came and went, and no call from the installer. I called Home Depot (8) and asked for Gina on x156 and she was on vacation. I talked to Terry, who said she would have Tracy Becker Construction call me tomorrow "at the latest" (11-28-18) to schedule the installation. To date: 8 calls to Home Depot. Each call takes at least 15-20 minutes because you are put on hold. When you select the appropriate extension, and no one answers, you get routed back to the customer service area. When telling them who you are looking for, they route you, again, to an extension that no one answers and get routed back, again, to the Customer service area. Each call takes at least 15-20 minutes of time x 8 = 160 minutes of my time trying to get my front door installed. The workers at Home Depot are getting paid for their time. When I communicate with Home Depot over the phone, I'm not getting paid for my time, and I'm the customer. read more

Who would have thought that home depot isnt taking simple returns? The excuse was the limitation on the number of people in the store however its Tuesday at 2PM and there is barely anyone here and there isnt a line to go into the store. Not allowing returns due to a limitation of customers in the store is just stupid! I would also add that the customer service person was rude and pointed to an index card that says "no returns" and then just walked away saying nothing further. read more

This Home Depot has honestly been the best Home Depot in the area. It's neat and organized, and unlike other stores the merchandise is clean and not falling apart or dusty. The associates here are helpful and knowledgable and their cabinet design center staff is superb! We used them for our kitchen and were blown away with the knowledge and suggestions by Joey!! Tool rental is always friendly and professional and they take the time to go over the tools operation. read more

Never Buy Any Appliance From This Store:"GE Dishwasher GDF540HMFES " I have been struggling with my Dishwasher that i ordered from Home Depot, i paid for Installation as well. The product came on time, but they did a very bad job with the installation. The people who installed were very irresponsible. Water was all over the kitchen. On top off all the mess they installed the product incorrectly. I called the Home Depot for the problem and they send another team of people this Friday Dec,20,2014 they again did a bad job. I can see, the product can leak anytime. Since it is installed way out from the kitchen cabnets, it is a life hazzard and can create accidents. I reported the problem on 21st the next day to Home Depot and asked them to remove the appliance, the associate, mentioned i should call next day, since Delivery people will not be around. I have been calling Home Depot all day and they do not acknowledge their mistake, they are routeing me to GE by saying it is their product and they will fix it. I am so frustrated with the experience, i just want to get rid of this product. The people at Home Depot Hackettstown, NJ were not helpful either. No one wanted to get it returned. Upon my long journey through a treacherous winter storm, I found myself a place not far from home that I like to call my second home. I walk into this fine establishment called Home Depot. Immediately I am greeted by friendly smiles that remind me of a night in with a fireplace roaring and a delicious glass of Chianti. The best of my journey was yet to begin. As I spend time browsing the aisles, I get excited. When I get excited, I have to go to the bathroom. I find my way to the restrooms and tears of joy begin streaming down my face as I lay my eyes upon beautiful craftsmanship in the tile design and the cleanliness of the restroom. I thought to myself... "Is this a palace??". I never in my life had a better public restroom experience than at Home Depot. I get a flux of emotions including joy, ecstasy, bliss, euphoria, and a deep sadness. I felt sadness as I knew I could not spend the rest of my life in there.
