I came here to shop a week ago, they are pretty busy store, I went up to a few associates to ask where I can find a few items, some directed me in the right direction and were super helpful and went out there way to assist me, while other associates didn't simply know, but instead of guessing where to find it they should of asked for help, maybe they were new?. Thankfully I got everything I needed and wasn't there long. I do want to give a shout out to the customer service desk a women unfortunately I didn't catch her name she went above my expectations as she pulled up every item I was looking for and the aisles they were in it was truly super helpful of her. Restrooms down on left entrance side. 2nd parking lot entrance after the McDonald's is ridden with potholes that can swallow your tire though, so go in the first entrance. read more

I've found for the most part the staff is helpful and congenial. Some will even approach you with a Can I help you? The App is very good at locating what you're looking for, if it's something you don't already know where it is, and if it's in stock. Their seasonal displays are always near the item in stock. No searching all over. Self-check out is pretty easy. There are associates nearby if you have a problem. read more

I usually love coming here to Home Depot during the building process if Biomedical Engineering. And today I was encountered with an issue concerning cutting a PVC pipe. The staff informed me and my father that they had no cutting supplies for PVC pipes. Despite this, one associate turned and left, while the other decided to utilize the limited materials he was provided with. Because of him, I was able to leave satisfied with exactly all the materials in the form I wanted them. Service like this from staff is what we need, regardless of the lack in tools. read more

This is a Home Depot. You probably knew that. In my experience with Home Depots, it's a struggle between the usually nice folks who work there that really are trying to help you out, and the nightmarish bureaucracy and poor systems that keep them from doing so. This one is no different. Shout out to Patricia in appliances, who was as helpful she could be, and Marie in customer service, who was fantastic and very nearly able to overcome my delivery issues. She really tried, and I appreciate it. I would like to not shout out whoever answers the phones around here, because they just want to pass you off to another department that will pass you back because no one wants to actually help you out. Calling this store is a nightmare. The selection here is about middle of the road for a Home Depot (better than the one in Brooklyn, and worse than the one in Wappingers Falls), but they do have a surprisingly extensive and affordable assortment of succulents and herbs if you're in the mood to buy some plants. They even have shrubberies, and they won't make you cut them down with a herring. You can just buy them, which is preferable. read more

Our two year old LG refrigerator died. We were 20 days without a refrigerator. Response and help from Home Depot was dismal at best. Response for LG was rude and dismissive. Home Depot has on obligation to its customers to assist in situations like this and they did next to nothing to help us. WARNING: LG product and service was terrible!!! Do not buy LG products. No reason for a two year old appliance to fail. Try any other product. Home Depot: You take a chance with HD providing you any further assistance once the item is sold to you. I was here just about 10 minutes ago and complete dissatisfied. I went to buy 2 3/4 Sande plywood and when I get home it's a piece of crap wood and the counter in returns all could say 5 times it wasn't the same receipt. Ofcourse it is. It's not supposed to put in different places so when you ring up you don't check every single piece of wood to make sure it's the same. It's a lumber yard. Nobody wanted to take ownership and I end up having to spend another 30 dollars for something I already payed for. Not a good experience and will take the trip to the other hone depot from now on. Only the Fishkill Home Depot had 'HDX "... chrome 60in H" 6 shelf" unit. We live in Peekskill but that stock so took a 20 minute drive to Fishkill. Next day found a bent support pole & brought back for exchange (another 40 minute r/trip). Back home found replacement box short one pole! Service desk offered to open another box but we suggested to take the missing pole from our previously returned box and the staff agreed. (Saved them opening a new box)! At each visit the staff were very friendly BUT lack of Home Depot (HDX brand) quality packing inspection cost us lost time and a total of 120 minutes of driving with gas at today's prices! This is my local Home Depot - And I always walk out of here happy. This store is always neat and organized and the staff very helpful - When you can find them. Not to say they are understaffed (maybe just a hair) but they always seem busy helping someone or stocking or whatever. Not necessarily a bad thing, but sometimes its a pain to wait my turn- God I sound like a spoiled brat! I went in today did my shopping and left without complaint. Its a pleasure to shop here - Especially when " Tonya" is working - Of all the great staff there she in consistantly smiling and helpful and seems to know every department.... This store would have grabbed a 5th star but they installed some new incredibly irritating security device that loudly dings and records you every time you walk by. While scanning the aisle for a particular drill bit it must have went off 10 times - HUGE TURN OFF TO BROWSE. WHY HOME DEPOT? WHY??? read more

Don't have a problem with Home Depot, Its the people living in the RVs in the parking lot, I have a problem with! Scary, Creepy, Desolate, Broken down RVs and Bus's with piles of garbage and snow surrounding them........ Why are people living in the parking lot, and why doesn't anyone do anything about this ??? Do people live in the RVs during the week, and work at the flea market on the weekend ?? if so, they shouldn't be in Home Depots parking lot, taking up parking spaces for customers !! besides, it looks awfull !, The parking lot is starting to look like a bad trailer park! read more

This HD is one of the better stores in the area....as Contractor for over 40 years I've seen the plus and minus of the big box Home Center Stores...buyer really must beware....you are not getting what you think you are with many products from big box Home improvement centers.....there is a reason why many items are up to 20% cheaper.....I've also profited on going in and cleaning up and Sometimes redoing what these stores sub contract out to the public! Thank you. This location has a mix of staff from ultra friendly to down right rude and condescending employees.... The check out staff is always cordial and helpful... Heather is always bright and has such a great attitude and energy about her that it makes the check out experience pleasurable!!!!....Some of the floor staff really should look elsewhere to work.... CLAY in Plumbing is a toxic misery to work with....bad attitude, bad energy and acts as if everyone who asks him a question should know what they are talking about.....bad energy translates into a bad experience.... I came to the FIshkill store 9/1/21, the day of the hurricane. I'm a woman in my 60's. It was pouring rain and I was desperate for sand bags to protect my home from flooding. FInally found a stack of levelling sand bags in the gardening area - no-one around to help. In the pouring rain. I pulled a dolly over and stacked 12 bags. I didn't expect them to be so heavy, but I managed it. I then realized how hard it was going to be to push the dolly through the store (no check-out outside) - I needed to be doubled over, and it was a slow process. I passed at least 5 HD staff, all looked the other way. They were too busy chatting, I guess. I managed the check out (at least a staffer there took over the scanning), then shoved the dolly out into the rain to unload it into my car. On my own. No-one offered to help. I was actually more stunned than anything else. I didn't get really angry til later, when I was unloading the bags to stack against my house. I let it simmer a few days and then realized I needed to get an email to the store manager - I thought the feedback could be helpful to them in the future. So I tried to find an email address - none available. I then asked through the Chat option for an email address for the store. At first they said they'd get it for me, then said they didn't have it. Told me to call the store instead. Poor customer service comes from the top. I have a very serious suggestion. Next time the weather is really horrible, hold a training session. Bring ALL of the staff outside, then have each of them - alone - stack twelve .5 cubic foot bags of levelling sand onto a dolly, push it ALONE through the store, then out again into the rain to load into a car. I know. Wishful thinking. It will never happen. And that's truly too bad - it would be a valuable learning experience. read more

I have to say I've had some very good help at this HD. A young man waited while we layed out our "closet" on the floor so we could confirm our measurements before he cut. the wood. Then he waited some more while we changed our minds and made mistakes. Then he helped us fix the mistakes by making extra cuts. I wouldn't say that all the staff is knowledgable about everything they have in the store but that's understandable I suppose. read more

The customer service here is awful, came today to the paint dept and it was clear there was a customer in front of me which is fine...the guy behind the counter didn't even say hello or I'll be right with you. All he said was "I need to deal with them first" with an attitude and rolled his eyes. I stood there for a few minutes at the side counter, I always have when I come here. Another customer came up and the guy started helping her and then remembered I was standing there...then said to me with an attitude that I need to come to the front of the counter. I'm not sure why it matters, could you really not remember you just saw me less than 5 mins ago. He was very rude! He started giving me an entire explanation as to why I needed to come to the front of the counter, I of course was annoyed and you could hear it in my voice but again the customer service was awful. As I waited for the paint I noticed the employee would change his tone and attitude depending on the customer who came up. read more

Once again I have to express my disappointment. I Purchased two garage doors with supposed keypads and remotes to be installed by Home Depot- or their sub contractor. Did I say sub-par contractor? Without boring you with the details - contractor came & went, job not completed had to get electrical guy in to install receptacles so doors could be plugged in. In the end , still was not done right, HD try's to do the right thing but ultimately they must want to keep cheap installers . Not only that contractors were extremely rude, insulting & told my husband that maybe he'd be happier if his wife didn't buy the "cheapest f-ing doors" Nice. This Home Depot is great.....it's 5 minutes from my home (alot closer than the other one in Wappingers or Lowe's) and has everything I need to fix up the place. Rumor has it they even have the parts needed to make a time machine to go back to 1993 (that's when I'd go back to....things were easier then. Plus I could invent Google and Facebook and be a billionaire now). Clean, well-stocked, friendly and helpful employees, not as crowded as the other HD, I can't complain. read more

I went a few weeks ago and there were more (useless) employees standing around chatting and gawking at customers than there were actual customers. My self service check out (no actual human cashier working) was a nightmare when 2 staff members who were chatting nearby, noticed a bin I was attempting to purchase was priced incorrectly. Both rude and unprofessional. I'm guessing this location is folding soon since no one up top seems to care about it. I wish someone would open an actual hardware store nearby, but until then I'll take my business to the Wappingers location read more

I love their location because it's never crowded but it's on a major route and next to the highway. My husband goes there a lot and I don't mind going with him because I know we can get in and out quickly! My husband purchased a Whirlpool washing machine from Home Depot in Fishkill, NY. On Wednesday 11/23/16. delivery was confirmed for Saturday 11/26//16 between the hours of 4:30 PM - 8:30PM. We cleared our schedule on that day on Thanksgiving weekend, spent three hours clearing furniture in our family room & laundry room for easy access for the delivery. At approximately 8:00PM that evening, (30 minutes before the deadline) Natalie called from the delivery service to say the deliveries were running late & our delivery was being cancelled. The next delivery she would attempt was December 3rd. After strongly expressing my displeasure & that a cancellation so late was unprofessional, Natalie told me she would try to squeeze the delivery in for Monday 11/28/16. They could not work around our schedule, which meant time would have to be taken off from work for any further delivery & chancing this could happen again. I cancelled the delivery. I called the store & spoke to the assistant manager Sue expressing my displeasure. I was told that we were the last delivery on a long list of deliveries for the day & they were running late & we were cancelled. Sue then informed me that Home Depot uses a third party delivery company & could not help in any way. We cancelled our purchase as a result of this incident & poor customer service standards. I now look forward to the three hours it will take to put the house back in proper order, only to have to do it again before another company makes my delivery. As a result of this experience, I will never make another purchase from Home Depot. I will take my business elsewhere, Lowe's here I come. BEWARE OF POOR DELIVERY SERVICE ON PURCHASES!!!!! read more

It should not take multiple times to deliver and install a dryer. First time. Wrong plug. Second time never showed. Third time cancelled. Just awful. I went to Home Depot to purchase several bags of salt pellets for our water softener. Lifting those heavy bags isn't something anyone looks forward to, but I found an orange cart and wheeled it over to the display of salt products at the front of the store. Within a few moments, an employee approached me and asked how many bags I needed and began to load them onto my cart! I then walked a few feet over to the quick check put and asked a very nice woman employee how to scan without lifting the heavy bag. She set it up for me in their automated system and in seconds I was paid, and following the gentleman out the door to my car. He loaded the salt pellets into to my car and I thanked him. (I was embarrassed I had no cash on hand to tip, so I thought the least I can do is offer a wonderful review on Yelp! to both employees!). A mundane task was made a lot easier because of great hardworking and kind people. Thank you! read more

My review is still a one star for this Home Depot (see my previous review). However, I'll give one of their customer service employees a 5 star rating (Fitz), because he understood what had happened when I explained it to him and offered the 10% discount anyway (which I said "no" to, because I don't want to do business w/Home Depot again) or offered to refund us the money we paid for the installer to come out and measure. However, back to another one star review for Home Depot in reference to their installers. When we were going to buy the door from HD, the installer came out to measure. My husband and I thought that the original door (Pella) had been put on backwards, because the screen was on the inside and the door looked as if it was on backwards, because the runner on the bottom (where you would put a bar/stick as added precaution so no one would try to force the door open) was on the outside. Well, the installer from HD agreed with me that it was on backwards. When we made the decision to get our door from Lowe's and had the installer from a company that Lowe's uses come out to measure, I mentioned the door being on backwards. He told me that it's not on backwards. Apparently, Pella doors are like that and the screens are on the inside (our screen is missing a latch and that's why we can't use it). Pella has an option of a foot lock on their doors for added protection. I'm so happy that we decided to go with Lowe's. read more

As far as Home Depot the store they are good. HOWEVER as far as installation they are horrible to say the least. Purchased Patio Doors in May of last year. They insisted to come out and measure which was fine with me. Then the nightmare began. They came in July to do the install. Screen door would bang against the frame. They told me it was the door. I saw the door itself was crooked and mentioned it but to no avail They replaced the screen insisting it was bent (which it wasn't) but they replaced it and it still banged. I contacted Home Depot corporate and they sent out the Manufacturer who confirmed the door was installed crooked . They again sent back the installer who refused to admit the error , made a few adjustments and left(door still crooked). This went on for 10 MONTHS. Until they finally ordered a new frame and had them come out & reinstall a new frame. This time everything was good EXCEPT the Wood frame around the door was put back crooked . Again I told them before they left and nothing. So once again I had to contact them . They finally came out and fixed the wood frame. Install complete 10 months later. I requested a refund on the ordeal and was originally offered 200. Requested more and then was offered about half of the price of the install and no more.I learned an aggravating lesson. Will NEVER have Home depot install anything ever again as long as Becker does there installations. read more

I don't like to write negative reviews but it is almost a year now from when I walked into this Home Depot to have my kitchen remodeled and I continue to be given the runaround, told that I will be called back and never called, and promised compensation for a job poorly done and never receiving it. My kitchen was supposed to be installed in May of 2017. After a series of screw ups, each of which took at least a month to fix and required either my husband or I to take days off from work to meet various deliveries of wrong parts or damaged cabinets and wrong colors, I finally had a functional kitchen in January of 2018. That's almost 9 months of no kitchen and the expense of eating out for most meals. The final kitchen is not perfect either. I have a cabinet door that slams into the countertop regularly. The countertop had to be specially cut to prevent damage to the cabinet door from slamming because the designer did not know how to use his computer EVER. Highly recommend you go somewhere else. Not only are these people completely inept, they are simply not good people. The whole 9 months we heard about how they'd make this up to us in the form of some sort of compensation. That continues to be the mantra as they fail to call us back and we call them over and over. If you like honesty, good service and nice people, this is not your place. read more

normally I would not take the time to post a review of a big box store like this unless I had a horrible experience or an incredible one--and it's so fun to say that I'm writing because of the latter. seriously--down to the person including young teenagery-looking ones--every single employee is cheerful, happy, and *so* helpful. my husband and I were so struck by it we actually asked one of the super nice people--who turned out to be the store manager--what is the deal with the hiring policy?? do you hire amazing happy people on purpose or what?? and of course it's absolutely purposeful. and after talking to him you see he's just as nice as anyone there. trickle down, etc. so it's a Home Depot and they have everything you expect at a Home Depot but when you go to a big box store and get treated like that it's not an overstatement to say it really makes a difference in your day!! incidentally where we live we are sort of equidistant between two Home Depots but we will always choose this one so it does make a difference :) read more
