What a terrible experience with Automatic. I am shocked, I consider myself a very reasonable customer, and I really didn't expect this bad of an experience from an established local business. I purchased a dishwasher and paid for installation. I could have purchased from Home Depot or Lowes, but I chose Automatic expecting a better more personalized and supported experience. The purchase experience was good. The dishwasher was installed as scheduled. A few days later, I noticed some moisture in the area, I had to take the floor cover plate off to see, but I see that the dishwasher was leaking from the connection point (installed by Automatic). It had been leaking for 3 days since the install before I noticed it, so I was very concerned. I called Automatic on that Saturday morning, and long story short they told me that they don't staff installation techs on weekends and that they'd have to get back to me on Monday. I told them that a water leak can't wait 2 days, it needed to be resolved asap. They refused to do anything, also refused to connect me with the owner or any manager who could make an out-of-the-box decision. I hired a plumber to come install a shutoff valve to the dishwasher in order to control the leak over the weekend. Automatic was not willing to reimburse me for that cost or trouble. They did come out the next week and fix the leak, which again, was caused by poor or incorrect installation the first time. A few weeks later, my wife and I began to notice that the hardwood floor boards in the area have begun to swell and buckle. Moisture had gotten underneath, trapped under the boards and they've warped. I called Automatic with low expectations for a resolution, and not to my surprise, they absolutely refused to take responsibility for this damage and were not willing to do anything at all to make it right. They continue to lean on the fact that I sign a sheet when the installers leave that says the installation was completed. Obviously, hardwood floors aren't going to react instantly to water damage, and I think it's reasonable to conclude that the damage is inarguably the result of the dishwasher water leak. "Sorry there's nothing we can do." I expect more from a local business, especially in an area where there are two Home Depots, Lowes, and Best Buy all who sell and install appliances. More recently, I purchased a refrigerator from Lowes and had it installed. The installation and experience were flawless, no issues at all and installation was free, not $169 (Automatic's fee). For anyone reading this, please heed the warning that Automatic doesn't support a thing over the weekend, no matter how urgent the issue, and they took the easy route and refused to make it right on the floor damage. And all-in with installation costs, they were more expensive than the big box stores. In a day and age where local businesses need to do everything possible to earn and retain customers, Automatic clearly doesn't get it or care. Very disappointing. Steer clear! Also, I fully expect Automatic to respond to this review leaning on the installation sheet I signed and the weeks between the installation date and my flooring issue showing. First off, they should remove the word "Parts" from their business name. Yes, they have a wide variety of parts that DIY'ers can purchase. But they are so much more than a parts supplier. They also have an excellent selection of major appliances. I have done business with them numerous times. Their prices are comparable to the big box stores, their sales people actually know what they are talking about, and their delivery/installation people are top notch. Alex is awesome! Kind, patient, and knowledgeable. I asked a ton of questions, comparing dishwasher models, and for information on service, delivery, haul away, etc.-- he answered them all and I never felt rushed, even though it was during the Black Friday sales. There was no push or up-selling. Truly a kind individual! He even recommended some great review sites he likes! I already have Consumer Reports and had done a lot of research, but these sites helped me confirm my decisions. I can't say enough about him. Then came the delivery/install//haul away crew of two. They were here installing and leveling the dishwasher in a tough spot with an uneven, brick floor-- no complaints, they figured it out -- totally pleasant and professional. On my first visit, Alex was very helpful in helping me pick out my kitchen appliances. I had done some research and he was very helpful in refining my refrigerator decision. There were many on display and he pointed out the features of the other appliances I wanted to get. The delivery occurred soon after with a careful and efficient installation. Alejandro and Cameron were very careful in my home were very accommodating with some adjustments. I was so pleased with this business that I soon ordered a new washer and dryer. They have a top of the line brand and helped me choose the model for my use. Again, the installation was excellently done and with great care. I don't know why I haven't reviewed Automatic Appliance Parts before. I'm thinking it may be because every time I need them it's when I have a broken appliance that I'd rather forget about. I am however a person who believes in trying to fix things BEFORE I call for a service person. At worst - I'll still need to call. At best - Automatic Appliance Parts and YouTube has saved me a few hundred bucks. This past weekend it was my washing machine. Automatic Appliance Parts has everything you need to repair your household appliances plus something you won't get online - outstanding customer Service and parts in stock with no shipping charges. They're also extremely knowledgeable and can give you advice on projects and ideas you may not have already thought of. Having grown up with a father who had to call someone to change a toilet paper roll, I am far from being handy. But with the help of Automatic Appliance Parts I have done simple things from replacing range heating elements to changing the clutch and water pump on my clothes washer - all with parts from here. They also sell appliances already put together but at the rate my relationship with them is going I won't need a new one for a very long time. Take my advice the next time you're appliance breaks, Google the repair, jot down the part numbers then come here. In most cases they'll price match and in all cases you won't pay shipping. I purchased a Speed Queen TR7 washing machine form Fernando. I expressed my concerns that the washer got horrible reviews online, which are 100% accurate. The store manager Fernando assured me the washing machine would work fine. After three months of ownership and a service call, the reviews are correct, the TR7 does not clean dirty clothes in my opinion . The company Speed Queen wont replace my machine with a machine that actually cleans dirty clothes and store manager of Automatic Appliance, has been giving me the the run around from 7/19 to 10/09/19. Every week, I hear come back next week from Fernando, "Im working on it". DO NOT GIVE THIS DISHONEST PERSON ( In my opinion) a nickel of your money. read more

I was floundering around dealing with BestBuy and PC Richards, but the reps on the phone and in the store were anywhere from lost, to irritated that I was bothering them on their iphones, to totally in the dark about measurements and specs. I went into Automatic after a Google search, and in less than 30 minutes closed out on almost $3000 in high-end appliances that the gentlemen at the counter confirmed would fit for my space. Probably not the cheapest - BUT I walked into a big box store first and gave them my measurements - they just pointed me in the direction of the appliances. At AA I walked in and the counter looked at my numbers and said this is the only one that will fit. I had my new range in 2 weeks installed very carefully by a great team of 2 men. Very disappointed to hear how our kids were treated when they recently stopped in to shop for all appliances for their renovation in their kitchen. Really missing Fernando. The two men at the counter clearly did not want their business. Couldn't even take the time to show them anything on the computer. Just said it would be over a year before they could get them anything. We understand the Covid issues but don't take it out on your customers. It's not our fault nor is it easy on us either. Automatic Appliance was fantastic to work with. I was buying appliances for a kitchen renovation. They were helpful and informative without being pushy. There was a time I swore by this company, but in recent years I just haven't had good experience with them. On at least 4 different occasions I've called for parts and they either didn't stock the part or wanted an outrageous price for them. The parts they didn't stock were not odd parts, but common replacement items. One item they wanted a ton of money for were small rollers for a dishwasher. Online these things were something like $1.30 if I recall. Automatic Appliance wanted around $6 each.
