My Sub Zero refrigerator had a slow leak and the water was affecting the wood cabinet that it was installed in. I thought that I needed to call an "Authorized Dealer" ... but when I called Sub Zero they told me - not so if my appliance is out of warranty. (I did try two authorize dealers and they gave me a date, a month out!) I called J Cote and they gave me a date of 4 days out. I explained my concern about my cabinet becoming saturated with water, and they made room in their schedule and came out the NEXT DAY! They gave me a three hour window, but in plenty of time, they gave me notice that they had to push it out a couple of hours. They were very communicative, awesome customer service. Joe repaired our fridge to our satisfaction and we did not have to wait a MONTH! Thank you Joe! read more

We have a sub zero with temp higher than usual in the upper part of the fridge. Most repair men around us would not or do not know how to service it. Jos and his son fund the problem and did an excellent work to restore a brokern compressor fan. Jos also found our Sub Zero is low on refrigerant. Although the original refrigerant is not an option, Jos was able to get a different type of refrigerant that can work with my old compressor. And he replaced our old refrigerant for FREE! After service, Jos sent a very detailed information about our options for system rebuild if the problem recur. The quality of work, professionalism and honesty we received from Jos is second to none. If you have a Sub Zero with any problem, Jos is the right person to call. You won't regret! read more

I hired Joe to fix my icemaker and service my sub zero. Found out the vacuum compressor indicator flashing in the message center for weeks was the precursor to a bigger issue. Needed a new condenser. Joe had all of the parts required to repair both issues on his truck so there were no untimely delays or return trips and service charges. The bill was steep but in line with other repairs I've had done on my other high end appliances. He explained all of the repairs, fixed an issue with the water supply to the icemaker that caused the damage the old unit and was quick to complete the repair. He even made some recommendations to optimize the space in the refrigerator and offered to try and get me a used door shelf to accomplish this. read more

my sub zero died unexpectedly and joe cote, when contacted, provided a date on which he could inspect my fridge and hopefully repair it. he showed up as arranged and with a truck load of spare parts but unfortunately my machine was terminal. joe explained my options in a professional manner and we agreed on the spot to accept a reconditioned machine which was prepped and delivered exactly on the schedule that joe provided. he even threw in a upgraded stainless panel set at no charge! in my opinion this company is professional, organized and delivers what it promises on time and with a smile. I would recommend this company to others with a very clear conscience. tom montague 7 kent road newtown, ct read more

We had an issue with our Sub-Zero freezer and I was expecting a pricy and lengthy repair time for this kind of appliance. This was not the case with Joseph Conte & Company. The service appointment was scheduled very quickly and Jonathan, our service man, arrived promptly, was extremely professional and diagnosed the problem right away. He had complete knowledge of the issue at hand and explained in detail what was wrong and what needed to be done. He kept the work area protected and clean and the best thing was that we did not have to wait for the part to be ordered - the repair was completed during the one visit. Going forward, Joseph Conte & Company will be the only people I call for my appliance repairs. read more

I called this company when my Subzero freezer died in a vacation house that we are only at on the weekends, so it was imperative for me to get this fixed on the weekend. I called another company first and waited all day on Saturday for them to come and they didn't show up or call. I emailed Joseph Cote and Company very early Sunday morning, and in a few hours he called and said he could come that day. We were impressed by his extensive expertise and knowledge of Subzero products and carefully explained the issues we were having and fixed the freezer promptly. I will call Joe for any of my appliance repairs going forward and wholeheartedly recommend him. read more

Joe has been to my house several times, most recently for a Sub Zero freezer rebuild. This is a complicated job which took him and his associate all day but was worth it in the end. It's like we have a brand new unit, and while expensive, it saved me quite a bit from having to buy a completely new refrigerator / freezer. I would not have trusted any other appliance company with this level of a job. Joe is meticulous in his work, very timely, professional and trustworthy. The other items he has fixed in the past (Viking oven) and Sub zero mini fridge continue to work perfectly. I highly recommend Joe and his team. read more

Tuesday was the second time Joe & Co. came to our rescue. The first time was five years ago when they rebuilt our dead 1997 Sub Zero. They brought it up to date, saved us the cost of a new Sub Zero and allowed us to keep our existing cabinetry. This time the fridge went out on Memorial Day. I called Joe early Tuesday morning and to my surprise his son Jonathan was at our house the same day! He was able to find the broken part and repair the Sub Zero. That was three days ago and it is working just fine. He also adjusted the door so that it is easier for me to open. Thanks, Joe & Jonathan! read more

All the other reviews seem to cover his great qualities, and its true he can seem expensive, but if you have want quality service he is the way to go. Subzero/Wolf now recommends other service providers. Clarke came to us a few years ago and on arrival they were curt and unhelpful. I tried Carey and the wait was ridiculous. Subzero (who can be very helpful on the phone) told me "I think Cote is out of business". Not true. Seems all his old clients (like me, I used him once years ago in another house). So glad I sought him out again online. He really knows his stuff and works fast. read more

We have used Joe for appliance repair multiple times. This man knows his stuff! And he comes with just about any part you might need in his truck - or can order it and will be back within a couple of days. He is responsive, returns calls, and shows up when he is scheduled. His repairs are done right the first time, and he does not do any more than what is needed. How refreshing!? I highly recommend him especially for high end appliances - we have used him for work on a SubZero refrigerator/freezer, WOLF stove/oven, and ASKO dishwasher. read more

Our SubZero dripping water daily with a big puddle awaiting us every morning. I called Joseph Cote and Co (who had been there to properly fix the SubZero in the past and was kind enough to leave a sticker on the inside with his contact information). They promptly returned the call, listened to the problem which he knew would be an easy fix (clogged drain). So we confirmed the price and he sent Jonathan over who did an excellent job. He was very thorough, clean, and pleasant. I wouldn't hesitate to refer them. read more

I have used JCC for service on my appliances at our home with great success and satisfaction when things have stopped working, they have serviced our SubZero fridge, Miele dishwasher, which recently stopped working, I called JCC and as the unit was over 20 years old they recommended I not invest anymore into that unit and get a new one, which advise I took...... they are good, honest and make themselves available to help as conveniently as their time allows; I recommend them highly. Joe was recommended to me by another appliance repair company because that other company didn't work on Wolf products. It was very easy to schedule him, and he showed up in the window I was given. I was really impressed that he showed up with a trailer full of parts, so he was able to repair my oven on the spot. I appreciated that he showed me what was wrong with the part that needed replacing, and that he was able to do the work so quickly. read more

Joe and his son have been fantastic. Our subzero fridge (nearly 20 years old) stopped cooling. They were able to diagnose the issues, fix it, and when something went wrong later, came back out and solved it all under warranty. They were prompt, polite and incredibly patient, even with my daughter offering to "help" at times. The quality of work was excellent, and the service phenomenal. Could not recommend highly enough. read more

Was referred through Blue Star for my range fix. Joe called to get an appointment scheduled, showed up on time and got right to work. Was extremely courteous and kept a clean work space. Fixed our problem with the igniter and addressed a recall for my range model. I'm glad I can call Joe directly next time instead of waiting on Blue Star. Would definitely recommend. Joseph Cote is exceptional. He is s true professional. I have a 30 year old sub zero refrigerator. 10 years ago he reconditioned it and it is still running perfectly. He just had to come and give it a minor adjustment and it's still going. He gets back to you immediately when you call and and is so knowledgeable and his service fees are very fair read more

We've been working with Joe for years and recently his son, Jonathan, Wonderful service, informative, helpful, friendly... Joe stands behind his work and has even come out on a weekend, which is rare for any kind of in-home service!
