After setting a time with them, they called three hours early--while I was at work--to ask if the repair person could come at that moment. "Of course not" was the reply. They refused to send their COI, as instructed, directly to my building's management company. Incapable of entering an email address, I guess. When I finally passed on the COI, the management company told me they did not have the proper umbrella liability insurance and workers comp. I passed this on. JC ignored what I had written in the email and just sent the COI again with no explanation. So then I had to call them and they told me they don't have workers comp or umbrella liability which is something most buildings in New York ask for. So then I had to cancel the repair. Wasted a couple days on this, so at least now you don't have to.

Stay Away! I called…read moreAtlas (Jimmy) to fix my stove, which had a broken burner. While initially he was quite responsive, everything went downhill quickly. He sent someone who not only didn't fix the burner, he broke another one. That person said that they needed more parts to fix both burners and that they would call back when they were ready. We never got a call. This began several weeks of pestering Jimmy on the status of the parts, because he would never call us. He eventually replied that they were on backorder but would tell me when they were ready again. After a long period of silence, we called him back and he mentioned that the parts were discontinued, he just never bothered to tell us and that he wouldn't do anything to compensate us for the stove his team made worse. He said that there was nothing that could be done to fix it. I called a different company, they came in, had the parts (not on backorder) and fixed it within a week. I'm mad at myself for trusting Jimmy for as long as I did, because we could have gotten results so much sooner. Don't use Atlas, they just make things worse.

He then had trouble getting indoors, as he is very, very overweight, and had to sit down while examining my kitchen range. He kept admonishing me to "Praise God" for everything, and screamed at the news on my tv, telling me that the Pope "knew nothing about the Bible," and that he, Elliot, was "not descended from apes." I told him I was not religious and didn't care, so he decided to yell at me, instead, because I couldn't see over the range to view what he was pointing at (I'm very short). He then switched to watching videos on his phone, while waiting for a price on what he felt would be the necessary parts. To shorten a long story, the price was high, and I simply didn't want Elliot back in my home, so I paid him for the visit and bought a new range.
