Elliot had been our repairman since we got our blue star range about 16 years ago. When he comes to our house we are always uplifted by his gentle and kind ways. He is incredibly knowledgeable, patient and assuring. He has never let us down. I'm writing this review because here we are the day before Thanksgiving with an emergency and he took the time to talk my husband through the problem! Who would do that? Elliot! read more

We needed a repair on our zline oven. It was through warranty. Elliott came over on a Saturday and fixed it for us. Not only was he very knowledgeable of the oven. But he was very pleasant and explained the what the prop was and had the parts on hand to fix it. We will definitely have him back for any appliance issue read more

Horrible. I paid over $300 for a visit that started with Elliot yelling at me because, for some reason, he couldn't see the number on the large tree at the end of my driveway, and had trouble finding my house. He then had trouble getting indoors, as he is very, very overweight, and had to sit down while examining my kitchen range. He kept admonishing me to "Praise God" for everything, and screamed at the news on my tv, telling me that the Pope "knew nothing about the Bible," and that he, Elliot, was "not descended from apes." I told him I was not religious and didn't care, so he decided to yell at me, instead, because I couldn't see over the range to view what he was pointing at (I'm very short). He then switched to watching videos on his phone, while waiting for a price on what he felt would be the necessary parts. To shorten a long story, the price was high, and I simply didn't want Elliot back in my home, so I paid him for the visit and bought a new range. read more

We had an unusual problem, with no obvious solution. Above the electric stove top on our kitchen island there is an old (Zephyr) range hood with a glass canopy that had been installed too low and intrusive, at least relative to the location of my head when cooking. We had hoped to be able to lift the whole thing a few inches, but had no idea how. Enter Eliot from Applicare. He pondered the situation, consulted a printout of the manufacturer's docs, and discussed with us. The conclusion was that we could probably just eliminate the canopy and retain the key functionality of the hood. 90 minutes of hard work ensued, mostly by him, but ably assisted by my wife and (occasionally) me, and it was done! The charge was entirely reasonable, and we'd be happy to engage him again. And he's a character! read more

After a lengthy phone call to set up the service and discuss cost, I was texted 15 minutes later and told I had been misquoted and there would be additional cost. I cancelled the service request. read more

This is the second time I have used Applicare, Inc. to fix my Capital stove over the last 10 years. The owner, Eliot Francis, is an EXCELLENT AND EXTREMELY PROFESSIONAL individual who diagnosed and addressed the issue right away. In addition to being extremely knowledgeable, he is also a lovely person. There are not too many people in the world like him anymore. He is a pleasure to know and work with. He has my highest recommendation. read more

Applicare - Capital Gas Range - Appliances & Repair Near Me - Warwick, New York

They got the job done quickly and inexpensively when others told me to just buy a new oven. If you're looking to have an appliance repaired by someone who actually understands them and takes pride in what they do, look no further. read more

Eliot Francis has been able to diagnose and repair my aging Liebherr refrigerator that came with my apartment numerous times. Better still, when my freezer (only) conked out, he was able to determine over the phone that it would need a different kind of service and provided a referral for me. I hope I will not need his services in the future, but when I do, he will be the first person I call. read more

Moved into a new apartment and the freezer wasn't staying cold after we moved in. Because of this, the alarm would go off constantly. The apartment front desk recommended us a few fridge specialists to take a look. I went with Elliot Francis since he was the quickest we could get someone to look at our freezer within a week. Booked the appointment with his secretary. She tells me the appointment for the first visit is $250 plus tax and if there's a second visit needed, it'll be $80 plus tax. Totally fine, doesn't tell me anything about how to pay for it so I'm assuming in this modern day, there's a pay portal or something digital that we can use (Zelle, CashApp, etc). On the day of the first visit, he tells me he's going to get to my apartment from 11 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. - He arrives at 3:00 p.m. 2 hours late. Comes through the door and takes a look at the freezer. We remove all the drawers and items in the freezer so that he can take a closer look at what I presume is the issue. Within a few seconds, he identifies that the evaporator fan needs to be replaced. Tells me that I need to go buy it from this website and that he'll need to come for a second visit. Tells me it'll be $80 for a second visit. I'm renting from the apartment so I need to talk with my unit owner about purchasing a replacement fan and having a second visit. So I call her on the phone and she talks with Elliot and Elliot is acting incredibly unprofessional talking with my landlord. She repeatedly asks what's the situation with the freezer and Elliot just pressing on her to answer questions like "Is your day blessed today?", "Is god blessing you today?", "I'll answer after you answer me" until my landlord finally just says "yeah, it's blessed but can you please tell me what's wrong with my fridge?". He finally let's go and all I could hear is them arguing about the cost of the replacement fan vs. replacing the whole fridge. He's at this point seemingly ticked off and speaking aggressively to me after he gets off the phone with her. My landlord and Elliot agree to just doing the replacement. He gets off the phone with her and now talks to me about payment. I ask him how he prefers his payment. He tells me that it's cash or check and that I should've known this from the secretary. The secretary did not tell me this when I set up the appointment. I tell him I don't have the cash or check right now but I can run to the bank and get him the cash. He tells me he's going to wait in my apartment until I return which I find uncomfortable. I ask him if he could go wait in his car as I'm not comfortable with him in my apartment. He tells me some story about someone in past scamming him or something. So I tell him that I don't have a cash or check on hand. I ask him if he has Zelle or Venmo. He says he doesn't believe in that kind of technology and they always charge him too much on the transaction fee. To my knowledge, Zelle, Venmo, CashApp has ways you can get around the fee. Anyways, we get into a small fight about payment and he finally reveals to me that they have a company PayPal account that I can send money to. I pay him and show him the receipt on my computer. He tells me he wants it in an email. The transaction receipt is literally on my screen with the Applicare company name as the recipient. He asks me if he can get on my Wi-Fi so he can see it on the email. At this point, we're both talking aggressively with each other and I just want him out of the house. I tell him no to the Wi-Fi password and tell him that this is the receipt and he needs to leave. He finally leaves. I make the order for the fan, it takes a few weeks to get here and two weeks after getting the fan to get him to come see it for a second visit. On the day of the second visit, Elliot Francis tells me that it'll be $100 plus tax after both he and his secretary tells me that it'll be $80 plus tax. Mind you, I have to take off from work to be home to receive him and he calls me and tells me this on the day of with about an hour before he arrives. No one tells me it's $100. It's been repeated $80 over and over again. He tells me that PayPal charged him a transaction fee and that he's charging me $20 to cover the first visit. At this point, I think he's a total hack trying to scam my landlord off of $20. Additionally, I experimented with some fixes (taking the top drawer out of the freezer, not overstuffing the freezer, etc.) and the freezer works perfectly fine. I'm not sure why he recommended the evaporator freezer at all since it seems like the "broken" one is working fine. Anyways, I talk with my landlord and we agree that from both of our experiences, we don't want to work with him anymore. So I cancel the appointment and he tells me he's happy he doesn't have to come over here. What a piece of work. I don't recommend Elliot Francis. Bad customer service, bad communication, bad overall experience. read more

I couldn't be happier with Elliot's service. My ILVE Range wasn't working, so I called him, and he showed up the same day, even though he's based downstate and I'm in upstate NY - a two-hour drive! Despite the distance, he came through and fixed it promptly. Truly impressed with his dedication and expertise. read more

Eliot Francis is super knowledgeable and helpful. He repaired two old Garland ranges for me very quickly. One of them is a 36-inch range with a grill and a special hood that is quite large. Eliot was kind enough to remove the filter, which I can't reach, so I could clean it. He then replaced it for me. The ranges both work perfectly now! I thought his fee was very reasonable, and I appreciate that he came all the way to Brooklyn. read more

I had an issue with making a zelle payment and they cancelled my appointment a day before the payment was due without letting me try the zelle payment again. Really unreasonable. Wont be contacting them again. read more

Elliot was very friendly and very thorough. Fixed the problem by researching the issue not just replacing parts that the error code was throwing. Highly recommend his services. read more

Elliot Francis is one of the most unprofessional rudest individuals ever. I have no words for how rude he acted towards me the first time he came to service out appliance. No idea how anyone has been giving this guy 5 stars. He comes in unequipped to do the job on multiple visits and tries to nickel and dime you on every little thing you can imagine before he even gets the job done. Also beware, if you try to pay with anything other than cash he will make up and claim you need to pay extra for him to just accept payment through something like PayPal. Literally just making up numbers. Id give him 0/5 if I could. I'm never compelled to write reviews, but oh god it was so bad I had to. read more

Elliot is the master! He did a great job identifying and fixing the issue with my oven. Highly recommended!

Absolutely wonderful experience. A true professional. I will be a repeat customer I can tell.

Congratulations to Eliot of Applicare Inc. who has been to all five boroughs in New York State doing his great works. I have always been impressed with the work he does. Prompt, professional and considerate. My only problem in researching is that it says all 5 New York states, but New York doesn't have five states; it does however have five boroughs. M. My experience with Eliot Francis at Applicare was the best I have ever had with a repair service. He caring, skilled, patient, responsive and simply wonderful. He went beyond what I ever could have expected and fixed my Capital Over, giving me time to clean after he took the over door apart and repaired it. He also helped me with the Liebherr refrigerator we inherited from the previous owners, letting me know how to contact the company directly for the parts so that it would be less expensive. It is like I have a new stove. Eliot is the absolute best. read more

I cannot say enough about Eliot and Applicare. I called so many places when my double size freezer, dishwasher and washing machine stopped working before finding Applicare. Not only was theirs the most reasonable quote I received, but he actually came when he said he would and went out of his way to come as soon as possible and work around my schedule, knowing that I had a houseful of teenage boys to feed. He found the problem quickly and was here for hours trying to find the part needed. He fixed my dishwasher, which has been a life saver and was honest about not being able to fix my washing machine. After everyone else I talked to first, I was beyond happy with Eliot's expertise customer service and reasonable charges! And I NEVER write reviews read more

I have been using Applicare for years now. They were recommended by Liebherr as I wasn't happy with any of the technicians previously used. Eliot Francis can repair any appliance. He is honest, cares about his work and his clients, and I would never use anyone but Eliot now. BTW, he services in the tri-state area and more. You will not find anyone as trustworthy and qualified than Applicare. read more

Applicare (877 796-2531) recently serviced our Liebherr refrigerator. The fridge section was accumulating water and the ice-maker wasn't functioning. Eliot Francis was able to rapidly identify the problems and then both fix the issues as well as give us a short tutorial on how to avoid these sames issues (and thus future onsite service calls) moving forward He was great technician and took great care to do a good job. He mentions he can also service ovens and other appliances. read more

Eliot is a wonderful person and a true professional. He came to our apartment and immediately spotted the problem(s) (which we fixed quickly). He proceeded to spend another 1-2 hours fixing other things with the refrigerator that I had never noticed, such as the height alignment and pitch (so the drawers would not fall forward when the door is opened). He really cares about his work and it shows. He arrived on-time and was a pleasure to speak to/work with. I highly recommend his services. read more
