Of course, this would happen about 7 weeks AFTER the warranty expired! The next morning, I tried contacting GE to no avail. I decided to call a local Appliance Center (Sohn's) in Walden, NY where I bought most of my appliances except this one. Well, they were shorthanded and could not help me for a month but gave me a couple phone numbers for assistance. One was for Anthony at Appliance Plus in Marlboro, NY. I called Anthony, who actually answered the phone. He said that he was in the middle of a job and took some information and said he would get back to me. I'm thinking "sure"! In about an hour, after researching our Model, he called and gave me several recommendations; one being it may only need a simple dusting/vacuuming. It takes a lot to impress me but Anthony Bigatta went above and beyond for someone (me) who isn't a "regular customer"! I never thought it was possible to speak to someone on a weekend, let alone someone who is knowledgeable, thorough and honest as Anthony. I highly recommend Anthony Bigatta of Appliance Plus in Marlboro, NY (845-236-1700) if you ever need any appliance repair.
