I went to Home Depot today, and I was looking for an acorn nut to fix the mirror I had for 20 years. I ran into Rafael, it was the best person I have ever met at Home Depot. He acted like I was the only customer he had and spent 20 minutes with me finding this little screw and help me put it on. I am 77 years old and it's hard to need to figure out things like that. I was so happy that he helped me fix my mirror and I didn't have to throw it away. Thank you again Rafael and again Home Depot you have a wonderful employee. Treat him well. read more

This past summer I found this set of super worn down patio chairs that had been tossed out on some street corner in downtown Denver, and I ended up taking them home with me! The staff at this Home Depot ended up being able to help me exactly figure out how I would restore the metal, and screw in the wood to the existing metal, and the patio chairs turned out perfect! Today I went to Homedepot in Thornton CO in hopes to get a color match done to touch up 9 yr old walls. I was helped by Shannon in the paint department. She went above and beyond to make certain I was getting a proper match and did some great problem solving and testing to match the small sample I carved out of my wall. Came in today for help with windows and flooring. Larry helped us and was more than helpful. We asked for a Spanish speaking associate but no one came and Larry was more than willing to help. We then had questions about flooring for our stairs as we were looking for a 'nose bull' and Larry gave us many different options. We were not planning on buying anything for floors just looking at options and pricing but Larry was very helpful and answered all our questions that we decided to purchase from them today. read more

Went to get a work a workbench that was on clearance with TWO price tags on it, both tags with the clearance price. The item did not ring up as the clearance price, but the picture came up. Manager was called to mark the item down and she claimed the clearance price was old and that she could not honor the price "unless the item was damaged". This was 6-26-2023 at 6:30 am. I pointed out the tags match the item and both tags have the sale price, she took the sticker off and folded stating the sale price was from 5-26 so it was too old. I have a picture of the tag that says 5-26 7-30, she said she would not give the price on the tag. We left without the item. read more

I just wanna throw my local HD a good review because honestly I have had great experiences here with getting some really wonderful plants. Now I know that might not be what most of you head to Home Depot for but if by chance that is....this is the spot. Today alone, two very decent sized string of pearls for $8 each! Talk about a steal! I also got a massive monstera for $30. This guy would have been $80+ anywhere else. I will also say we bought our flooring here when we redid the basement and the guy who helped us gave us a bunch of damaged boxes for a discount which was Perfect because we used those boxes for pieces that needed to be cut etc for corners. I have been a long time customer at The Home Depo. I spend a lot of time and money with them as I am always upgrading my house. Last year it was a remodel of the kitchen and laundry room. This year it's finishing our basement and two basement bedrooms. I'm upset to report all we are waiting on is the carpet that never seems to make it to the people that will install it. We ordered our carpet nearly three weeks ago. We were scheduled to have it installed on Friday May 7th. We were called a a day before and told they couldn't install because they never got the carpet. So we called HD and were told that it was on the truck to be delivered on Friday May 7th but it was in the truck and they would install on Saturday to make things right. After all we have been waiting for two weeks now. On May 7th we got a call and of course you guessed it the carpet was not on the truck. So now if it comes that means the install on Tuesday but that won't work because it's raining, so maybe Thursday or Friday of next week. So basically a month since we purchased it. Now my 9 year old daughter is sleeping on the sofa has no toys because they are packed and our laundry room is full of furniture so no clean clothes and still no real solutions from home depo. I will keep you post on what happens next just buy with caution because home depo is incompetent. I mean... why not take their sweet little time, we already paid $3000 upfront so they have what they want, where is my carpet!! This is why I hate paying upfront the whole amount for the job. If I was holding on to the 2nd half and paid the rest upon completion this job would have been done 2 weeks ago. Carpet install update. The installers came but refused to install. Saying we have to remove our tiles in the main room in the basement. Turns out that's a lie and they install carpet over tile all the time. It's just a different process. No carpet installed. The two bedrooms: We lifted up the carpet only to find asbestos laminate flooring. They will not install carpet on top of this laminate even though it already has carpet tacks that can be reused. Other carpet companies have no problem installing carpet if the laminate is not disturbed and the carpet tacks are in good shape which they are. I would never ask someone to do something that can harm them. That said I would do it myself if I knew how and would be 100% comfortable in doing this install. Because we would not be drilling, hammering, sweeping. In no way would we be bothering the laminate. We would use what is already there and glue any other parts we need. Grrrrr So we were just lied to again not five mins ago. So we cancelled the entire project. HD has been my favorite store for years. I would spend upwards of $5k per year not including large expensive projects. I will never shop at Home Depot again. Lowe's you are my new favorite. Congratulations! read more

Ordered shelving online and the delivery window was 9 am until 8 pm. Checked delivery status multiple times and it was always "on its way." By 9:00 pm, no delivery. Called the store again and this time the story was that an outside delivery service tried to deliver and couldn't. That was a lie. Home all day -- no text, call, doorbell ring, nothing. They never attempted delivery. Shady business practices -- won't be buying from them again any time soon. Walked all over the store and the only one I could get to help was an 18 year old kid that didn't have a clue about the department that he was in. I stood by customer service for a while to try and ask for a manager but was ignored. Went to the pro desk hoping to get help and the two associates continued their conversation while ignoring me. When I left my buggy with stuff in it and started to walk out I asked a cashier to speak to a manger. She was nice but never asked what the issue was or even tried to help. Guess they are used to complaints here. When the assistant manager got there it turned out he was one of the people at the pro desk that ignored me so I just walked out. He didn't care in the first place why would he care now. Not to mention that this was 5pm on a Friday and there was so much freight down most the aisles it was difficult to even get a buggy through them. Really the customer service in general here was just apathetic at best. What happened to the Home Depot that used to train their employees and care about their customers. BUYER BEWARE! I have been a credit card holder for over 6 years but my experience with this store has made me decide to close my card. A water heater was purchased on January 19th. Just over 40 days later it stopped working. When contracting customer service, they stated if it was older than 90 days old they would send someone out to look at it, but because it stopped working sooner, the only option was to drain it, uninstall and take back to the store for store credit. What kind of customer service is that? This isn't just a simple return! I will be returning it with my receipt for a FULL refund and will purchase one from Lowe's as well as any future items, if this is how Home Depot handles their loyal customers. This store is a joke. No one even works here. You have ONE guy who works in the tool rental dept, during peak hours and can only do one thing at a time when fifty people are waiting. No one is ever at the Pro checkouts or wandering around helping customers. We have to do everything ourselves, aisles remained closed long after the fork lift has finished, and when I asked for a manager I was told he was too busy. So when i called the store from inside the store to ask for assistance, no one would even answer my phone calls. If you guys are not going to have PEOPLE working and doing their job, then you need more self check outs and you need to lower your prices since you have have very little staff and thus don't need to be paying so much in labor. Come on Home Depot get your shit together, tell people to do their jobs or they will no longer have one. I went to rent a boom lift here. I was charged 3 separate deposits 11-18-19 around 12:13 PM a 300.00 deposit was removed from business bank. 12:20 PM a 500.00 deposit was removed business account. Unfortunately, these people do not care about their customers nor their products. First, it took them 1h 35min in order for me to get my military discount as they kept telling me yo "just do it without the discount." Yet for kitchen cabinets and countertops that would be over $200 discounted. Second, they gave me the wrong cabinets with a few of the correct style. Then, they won't call back to my messages. Les is the main person that hasn't called me back and it took him over an hour to just order it initially. Lastly, they added on the price to the countertops telling me it is more for an under mount sink yet they knew this info when ordering. Shocking they don't know what they are doing nor care. I don't expect everyone to know everything about each product, but I do expect some to know. I would go to Lowe's or another Home Depot or Ace Hardware. They maybe a little more expensive but worth it with their products and their workers actually care and have vast knowledge of their products. read more

To the gentleman in the tool rental area: I took my time to come pick up a tool that showed available for rent on your website. The website was wrong, and I can understand that happens. No big deal. My issue was with the customer service. When you work in customer service, your goal is to serve the customer. He shrugged his shoulders and said "I don't know what to tel you." I took my time to come be your customer, and you didn't even apologize about your company's inaccuracy or find a way to keep a customer. He would be better working for the loading dock. read more

I walked in to the store, headed to the key center. I stood there for 5 minutes, as workers looking at me, with no greeting, or asking if I needed help, they just walked right past me. So, I called the store to get help, nothing. I then asked a cashier and even went to customer service and asked for them to send someone to the key center. I waited another 5 minutes for a worker to come up to me, and told me that she wasn't even notified that I was there. And to make matters worse, after all of that waiting, they didn't even have the key that I needed. I would not recommend coming here for keys, unless you are using a machine. Worst place to get help. Anyone who can use the important "equipment" leaves after 4 PM, seems like. Asked 4 people to help us load 150 pavers. Then called the store twice telling them we were standing in the back waiting for help after 30 minutes. Some dilly-dally part time man is next to useless calling for someone and says "do you need them tonight?" Yes, as a matter of fact, we do. Guess what? Called the store after we loaded them ALONE onto the cart to get help loading into the car... help never showed. Here we are dripping with sweat with broken backs when we could have had a few young kids help us load these in 10 minutes. Don't expect any kind of help or customer service here and all the reviews say the same thing.... Another issue a year later.... ordered a door online. Opened it and all the boxes are duct taped shut. Screws missing, parts missing, obviously been returned. We already put the frame up before unloading the rest and the only thing they'll do is replace the door if we bring it back in. We're not taking the frame down. Disappointing service with our blinds. We came in needing some assistance to get new blinds for our home. The blinds we needed were quite specific and needed to be the kind to fit the windows of a vaulted ceiling. The associate told us that they could do any kinds of blinds. We trusted him, looked at our options, and paid them a deposit to have a team measure the windows in our home. The team came over and told us we needed a very long cord to continue with the installment. A week later, we received a call from an associate telling us they could not proceed with this install because they do not do these kinds of blinds. The associate told us, "For these blinds to work, you will need to keep them closed or open...or climb on a ladder to open or close them." In other words we had to accommodate their needs, not ours. So we told them we just wanted our money back, and now they are giving us the run around, telling us somebody would call us regarding this matter. NO ONE has called us! What kind of business promises customers they would do any blinds, gets people's money to accommodate The Home Depot's needs?! For a well established and popular store, this experience has been very disappointing. If I could I would give this store a zero rating. read more

I'm not a picky person when it comes to customer service in a retail store at all. I generally don't like to be bothered unless I seek out help, so when that's not even possible there's an issue. I've been here twice this week, the first being electrical at about 7 pm and the front desk called the associate for me repeatedly but they didn't pick up the phone. She ignored the page, too. The desk person made a comment to her co worker that "she never answers the phone" so that didn't bode well with me. One of the desk people eventually was able to help me, thankfully. The second issue was two days later when I went to the paint counter and there were six people in line waiting for mixing-but no one behind the desk! Someone finally came over and made a general announcement that "he'd be right with us." After twenty minutes of watching him help another person and no help called in and also no follow up acknowledgment, I gave up and went to Lowe's across the street. Train your people better and stop hiring kids who have no interest in helping the customers. This store was much more customer oriented and employees were more helpful years ago. read more

The Home Depot has an overly aggressive policy concerning the greeting of customers. I don't mind a friendly, "Hello let me know if I can help you", but to interrupt me as I am reading a label or while I am on the phone is just rude. How many times I have returned to my building project only to discover I didn't purchase all the supplies I needed, or I purchased the wrong supplies not enough or too much of the supply, because I was repeatedly harassed by the staff. To make things worse the shelves are often disorganized, product scattered in the wrong places, if the staff spent less time harassing guests and more time organizing the shelves and tidying up the products into their proper locations maybe guests wouldn't need so much help finding things. In all if I want a better experience and less harassment I prefer to shop at the other big box home improvement store. read more

It's hard to find help here, but when you do, you should hope that it's Larry. This is the most helpful Home Depot employee I have ever dealt with, and I honestly asked him where something was and talked to him for a total of 2 minutes. In that 2 minutes he proved to be very knowledgeable about stuff that wasn't even in his department. He was so kind, and even said, "have a great day" to us before we went on our way. This guy should be a training mentor at this store. Other than Larry, we haven't found many great helpers. While looking at swamp coolers we were very purposefully ignored by 3 workers who were having a little conversation of their own by the key making machine, and they ignored us completely even after they split up. Decent location, lots of stuff. No customer service. read more
