I wasn't even allowed to purchase anything because I was lied to and kicked out of this location for no reason!!! Here's what happened: Michaels store - 16531 N Washington St. Thornton, CO 80023 Employee Name: Jacob Date: Saturday, May 31, 2025 around 8pm. My friend and I, were shopping last minute for our friend's birthday presents. From the moment we walked in the store, the employee Jacob was following us around like crazy. In the beginning, He came up to us and told us that the Dicks store next to them had gotten robbed so the police are next door and that they will be locking the doors to Michaels just so we know, but we can still get out after we check out. I didn't think much of it and kept shopping. This employee continued to pass me back and forth when I was in every aisle. My friend had her service animal with her and went outside to wait for me until I was ready to check out. Then Jacob came up to me and said that the police wanted to talk with my friend and I, because they saw something on the camera and some items have went missing. So I started walking towards the front of the store because I knew I had not stolen anything or had my friend. Then Jacob, tells me that the police were outside with my friend and I had to go outside to talk to them. He then proceeds to grab my shopping cart away from me. I was angry at this point because I knew he wasn't being honest and just wanted to take my cart. When I walked out of the store, he slammed the sliding door shut and locks it, laughing with another employee. Both employees stand at the door and kept it locked so we could not re enter the store. There were no police outside and the Dicks never got robbed either. It was really weird of this employee to say all this to me and my friend. We weren't trying to steal anything, we didn't look like we stealing anything but we were profiled from the moment we walked into the store. I was unable to purchase anything for my friend's bday which was that same day, so that was ruined for me. I was so embarrassed because other customers in the store saw this and so I was made to look like a thief. This was such a degrading experience for me and I never want to shop at Michaels ever again. I know theft is a big thing but how I was treated for no reason was so uncalled for. Jacob is very racist and I think he doesn't represent the Michaels brand well at all.

I called to verify that they'd deliver for free as I don't have a big enough car and I can't do it alone. I walked in several days later and when I told them what I needed, they remembered my phone call. This afternoon the manager, Kelly, and his son brought my brand-new grill, already built, to my place, delivered it, showed me the basics, and could not have been nicer, more polite, friendly, and helpful. I can share that Home Depot wanted $80 to deliver the same outdoor grill, so this decision was a slam dunk. They're accommodating, respectful, and genuinely happy to be of service anytime in the future. Thank you all so much! I will be returning!

I visited the Ace Hardware near Standley Lake for the first time recently, and while the staff was…read moregenuinely friendly and helpful, my overall experience was disappointing. Before going in, I called ahead to check if they had kiddie pools in stock. The employee on the phone was great--she took the time to physically check and confirmed they had several available, which I really appreciated. When I arrived, I worked with the Assistant Manager, Vanessa. She was polite and walked me outside to where the pools were stored. Unfortunately, this is where things started to fall apart. The pools were stacked haphazardly in the back corner of the lot, completely uncovered and sitting in direct Colorado sun. As a result, every single pool I saw was warped, dented, and misshapen from heat exposure. Vanessa had to climb over pallets to reach them and pulled one out from underneath a stack. The plastic was visibly bent in multiple places. I asked if there was any possibility of a discount due to the condition, and she quickly said, "we don't do that." When I pointed out the warping and explained my concern, she said discounts are only given if there are holes--but also admitted she couldn't guarantee there weren't any holes because of the condition of the pools. That was frustrating. It felt like there was no real effort to acknowledge the issue or offer any kind of reasonable solution, even though the product clearly wasn't in good shape. I ended up buying the pool because I needed it, but I left feeling taken advantage of. While the employees were kind, the way the products were stored and the lack of flexibility in handling an obvious quality issue didn't sit right with me. Personally, I wouldn't return. I'd recommend driving a little further to Murdoch's, where you can find similar items and (in my experience) better product quality and overall value. Update: After leaving this review, I was contacted by the general manager, who took the situation seriously and issued a full refund while allowing me to keep the item. I really appreciate the follow-through and effort to make it right. This response felt much more in line with the customer service I expect from Ace.

Walked in the door and was greeted almost immediately by a friendly staff member who asked what my children would be interested in and offered up some of her own suggestions, even leading me to those departments inside the store. Wide variety of decently made toys - not the plastic crap that Target and Toys R Us sells. Staff was very friendly and offered FREE gift wrapping. There's even a "birthday club" for kids. An excellent addition to Broomfield and one we should all support! The staff and selection are what makes this a true 5 * selection. Plenty of parking and close to the RTD stop at Flatiron. Generally, I'm hopeless at such shopping sprees, but Kathy -- the amazing woman behind the counter -- totally helped me out. I left with a gift that my niece liked (that's the first), and even some fun card/board games for me and my friends. It was a great collection of items for all ages, from novelty decor objects, jewelry, clothing, books, toys, and a wide selection of cards. The staff was friendly and attentive but gave us freedom to browse independently. This shop used to be in my neighborhood business district where there is very little parking available. By moving here, they got a bigger store and plenty of parking.
