If you know a Home Depot you know them all in terms of layout and product offerings. I had been avoiding going into any Home Depot, but especially this one, for years but its been over a decade and we needed some gardening supplies so we figured this location would be the best. While there were no familiar faces, I was both amused and irritated by the blatant customer-avoidant behavior the store associates displayed that day. I watched one gentleman turn into the aisle my friend and I were in, look up and see us, did an immediate about-face with military precision and quickly retreated as fast as he could. Another walked by us, made brief eye contact, and then pulled out a piece of paper from his apron pocket staring at it as though it was the most interesting paper in the world. We checked out in the garden department with our bags of soil and little pots. The soil we bought had one of those easy to open tops that you just have to pull on. The cashier lifted the soil bag right at that spot tearing it open. My friend saw it but I didn't until we were loading the bag into the car. I shouldn't be surprised but I am disappointed. read more

Came here with my wife to pick up face frame soft close hinges for our daughter/son-in-law's condo in Bellevue. I was pretty much uneducated on this topic (ours in our home were installed by our trusted contractor). This is sometimes a not-ideal knowledge situation to be in entering a Home Depot (as you can leave with a sour taste in your mouth from an employee talk). But in our case, we got help from Daniel, and we left the Depot with satisfaction that comes from a good, honest interaction. Daniel identified that we needed help, and spent a lot of time with us. It was clear he was educating himself as well, and was easy going as he looked for the right parts with us. That attitude definitely rubs off on consumers, and left the store better educated and with parts that we knew we could return easily if it didn't work. And yes, we learned that these hinges comes in different 'sizes' anywhere from 1/4 inch to 1 1/2 inches, and that a typical kitchen set of cabinets uses most of them. read more

- use self checkout to avoid rude cashier- I got several plants in the afternoon on 5/14/24 and paid through the plants section. The cashier was commanding me to lift the plants so he could scan the bar code. While it sounded fine, his tone was completely off. There was no "could you please lift that for me?" but "lift that." It was extremely uncomfortable for me, even though he's an older man... plus he said it 5 times since I got 5 plants. I didn't know anyone would need training to be a cashier, but I guess I learned something today. If I knew that was gonna happen, I'd pay through self checkout because that'll be much more comfortable. Oh btw, they still make mistakes of keeping the old price on the tags, but they won't give you the advertised prices since nobody has any authorities here. Well, here we are, a day before Christmas Eve and we need to get a tree.... We drove around the Newcastle area, and no one had a tree. (That's what we get for waiting until the last minute), but anyway, we knew that Home Depot would most likely have one. We pulled up, was greeted by a sweet lady who told us about the great deal that Home Depot was having g on the trees. We got our tree for less than $40. So, thank you Home Depot for allowing us to celebrate Christmas with a real tree, and a great price. read more

I'd like to change my review to a 5 star one bec April from the bellevue location and Steve really helped us so much! Was ordering a washer and dryer and the order completely got screwed up between GE and Home Depot so I went to Home Depot to complaint and to fix it too, April was there and Steve too, they talked about it and listened to us too and finally they did the right thing by helping us fix the problem, so after the refund I went back to Home Depot to purchase the same washer and dryer and April was there to help, was so grateful bec I don't want to have to repeat myself again! She helped me get the same price as to the first order and she even helped me with shipping and stuff, in short , she was really nice and very patient with me too. Chung was working at the customer service desk and was helping another customer and then called me up. He asked me for my order number and then basically ignored me for over 10 minutes while he continued to help the previous customer. Other customers were able to go to other associates and leave before me while I'm stuck. Then toni asked me if I had been helped twice which I said barely and then also just ignored me and started talking on the phone. It's honestly hilarious how this location is still in business. We had some issues with the heat at the place we were staying, enter in Home Depot for a space heater. I always find it difficult to navigate at Home Depot and someday I'd love if they had an easy QR code for a location specific map, but once we found the item we needed it was quick to bring it up to the counter with one of their rolling carts. Although it was friendly, the service wasn't especially quick, but the item we chose worked well and we had no complaints. All in all this Home Depot definitely came through for what we needed. read more

I have no clue as to why the overall ranking for this store is so low. It is frankly underserved in my opinion. I go here all the time for good advice on how to do certain projects that I have no clue as to where to start. I talk to the people here all the time about problems I am having at my house and how to solve them and get great advice. The prices here are not that dissimilar to Temu and AliExpress and frankly the quality is better and I only have to set the Temu stuff outside to off gas it for two weeks before it's useable. The return policy is friendly. If the wood or other items that you want to buy are too big they cut them for me or if they are really small I use their saw and cut them myself. They pretty much have everything I need for my DIY home repairs and renovation projects. Good advice, great people, nice prices, great selection. I can't complain. I have probably been in the store 30+ times in the last two months and I am well satisfied with everything. read more

You know you're an adult when you shop at Home Depot. Home Depot has anything and all things for crafty, fixer-upper home owners at affordable prices. You can't go wrong here when it comes to finding something for your home. Located in central Bellevue, Home Depot is usually busy, based off how many cars are in the lot. But it doesn't feel busy since the space is gigantic. We came here in search of some ant repellant, and it's not like I've spent much time at a Home Depot before. So, we asked an employee who immediately knew which aisle it was on and asked if we wanted him to show us. Good customer service. We found what we were looking for at a decent price - and then we found more houseware items that we didn't know we needed until we visited Home Depot. Oh! And they are dog-friendly here! This review is regarding rentals. Went there last weekend to rent a pressure washer. Chose the Bellevue store because Redmond did not have any machines available, but my experience in Redmond the weekend prior, also with a pressure washer was not good either, so I think in general the rentals at Home Depot are simply subpar. We got the unit fairly quickly but when we got home realized they gave us the wrong gun, we called Redmond because it was closer to home and they guy on the phone was super rude, almost offended because I was asking if they could swap the gun for us at least temporarily, while we did the job. He said our only option was to go back to Bellevue, so we drove 25 min to exchange the gun and drove back anoher 25 min to get home only to realize that the new gun was defective! The trigger was damaged. A complete waste of time! We returned the unit and decided to rent from Sunbelt instead. WOW! What a completely different experience. The quality of the machines, the customer service, everything was much MUCH better. Price was just a little higher but totally worth it! read more

**Beware of Home Depot Rental Center.** Even though Home Depot is a large publicly traded company with thousands of locations across the United States, the rental center in Bellevue is not trustworthy and lacks customer service. I needed to use a dehumidifier for my basement, and my contractor informed me that I could rent one from Home Depot for about $252 for one week or around $700 for a month. Alternatively, I could purchase one for approximately $800. My contractor used my credit card for the phone sale and picked up a dehumidifier from Home Depot with the intention of returning it within one week. However, after my contractor left for the week, we forgot to return it on time. When my contractor returned today, he called Home Depot and was informed that we needed to return the machine today to avoid additional charges. He promptly took the machine back, only to find out that the employee charged my card $672 ($611 plus sales tax) without informing him that we could keep the machine for up to four weeks at a cost of $756. As a result, my contractor ended up renting the machine for two weeks and paid $673, while losing out on the option to keep it for four weeks or simply purchase one for $800. While I don't believe this is a scam, it raises concerns about the transparency of Home Depot's rental policies. Charging the full price of a new unit for four weeks of rental time seems excessive. Home Depot is primarily in the business of selling construction materials and tools--shouldn't they provide consumers with clearer explanations and disclosures? Went to go to their garden center and tried to get in without having to go all the way straight the store since I had a sprained ankle and walking was very painful. When we walked up to the gate it was closed and locked, the employee said the gate closed at 8pm. It was it was 7:55. When asked if I could slip in as I had 5 minutes till it was closed and I would leave through the main exit I was told no and that the gate closes at 8. read more

I had to pop in spur of the moment to pick something up for my husband. I was coming from my OB appt and already running late so didn't bring my wallet (I'm so used to using Apple Pay for everything these days) and only after finding what I needed and trying to checkout did I realize that Home Depot doesn't accept Apple Pay at self checkout or at all. Thankfully one of the managers saw me looking perplexed and very kindly helped me through the pay online and in-store pickup option and even covered the snacks this very pregnant 36 weeks along mama wanted that I couldn't pay for online. I am so grateful for the kindness and top notch service bestowed on my by this gentleman and wish I caught his name! Guess I didn't learn my lesson from last time. While their prices for hardware goods are great, steer clear of doing online pickup here. I submitted an online order for store pickup at this store for a pack of batteries that were on sale. Didn't want to deal with the Black Friday crowds so I ordered them to pick up tonight, as they wouldn't be as busy, When I got to the store, there was only a couple in line at the customer service counter. Unfortunately, their issue took the attention of two staffers and I waited and waited. Miserably. Finally after 15 minutes did one of the employees acknowledge that someone would help me soon. After 20 something minutes of waiting, I finally gave up. I headed down the aisle to the battery section, grabbed the batteries I came to pickup (same price) and paid for them. This took less than 5 minutes. I highly recommend against doing an in-store pickup at this store. The point of this service is to get customers in and out of the store quickly. If it is faster to go into the store, grab what you are looking for and pay, than they really should not be offering this option. No they are not perfect we purchased some paint a few years ago and they didn't have a registered so we bought the paint again and they still didn't have it registered so I came back and the people who were running the paint one doing it right and the manager train them on it and I got my paint fixed yay. He was touching his mouth and face repeatedly without gloves and was talking with other store associates at a close distance. This store like other Homedepot stores sells Ryobi tools that come with a warranty but when you try to use the warranty they give the run around and tell you that can't help you eventually after many trips to the store and talking to to Ryobi they finally take the item leaving you without a tool for 8 weeks before they will even look at the tool. This is the worst warranty out there don't buy Homedepot/Ryobi tools. read more

This Home Depot is centrally located in Bellevue, easily accessible off 4th Street exit. Hence the problem, it's too central and too accessible. There are also many other shopping nearby and a Target is being built too. Traffic is often jammed. Parking lot is often full. During summer months, this is the busiest HD in the area, most difficult to arrive at during certain hours, and hardest to find parking. I come here only during odd hours. The staff is same as any other HD, which means it's 50/50 if you find help. Inventory seems to be ok. Then again, I try to pre-order and only do pickup. This is when your Attorney step in to Settle your Claims. I have my Roof done 4 years ago by there contractor. At first when the roof was complete than came the rain I have them come out to fix it's several times. Now After 4 years my roof leaks called them and they said they don't do roof anymore and tell me to find a contractor and they pay for it. Finds 8 contractors all said the same things the roof put on not in accordance house code, sealing was poor and the roof CANNOT be REPAIR. Give them all information that my roof need Replacement Not Repair. 7-8 months after my roof Claim not Settle. I'm about to file Lawsuit. WARNING: Purchase appliances from Home Depot is a disaster. If you want to keep out of trouble, find other reputable sellers like Costco, Best Buy, etc., ESPECIALLY if you are not WHITE. tl;dr. I paid Home Depot to install new appliance purchased from them, but they refused to do it TWICE without giving any reasonable explanation. So they either 1. unprofessional, lacks technical skills or training, or 2. just don't want to do the work (my laundry room is on upstairs, so they need to move washer/dryer up and down), or 3. are racists, because I am Asian. Long story version: I purchased washer/dryer/styler from Home Depot, because their price is fair and provide installation service. But unfortunately, it is a total SPAM. On the first delivery, they found the washer was damaged. I asked them to install other appliances, they refused because they said they must be installed together. On the second delivery, the delivery men checked my laundry room and told me they can't do installation because the water outlet box in my laundry room is too small, so it can't fit the LG Sidekick washer (the washer in the pedestal). But in fact, before I purchased them, I went to Home Depot to ask the installation, the shop associate confirmed the pedestal washer doesn't have special requirements for the outlet box. I also checked LG's official installation video, it shows the regular outlet box. And later after the delivery men left, I contacted LG USA customer service, they also double confirmed it doesn't have special requirements. I explained to them I have double confirmed with Home Depot shop associate and online video, but they just said no without any reasonable explanation. They didn't even measure my current box, and didn't tell me what size is "bigger" enough. On the following day, I hired a general contractor to my home to help install the washer and dryer. We installed them successfully, they fit my outlet box perfectly, which means both Home Depot shop associate and LG customer service are all correct, but the Home Depot delivery men are totally wrong. I called Home Depot and spoke with the store manager. The guy inisisted his delivery men did the right thing because they "followed LG installation spec". I asked him to show me the installation spec, but they refused. Home Depot didn't even fully refund me the installation fee I paid with the appliances! I have filed a complaint to BBB. I didn't expect it could help a lot, just want everyone to be aware of this kind of SPAM. Don't think you will get what you paid always, they can refuse the work anytime!!! read more

Had a wonderful experience with Antionette (Toni), Briza, and Jay g at guest service. I was in with my boyfriend who was purchasing a tool box and had questions about pricing. These employees at guest service were so helpful and nice! Not only did they answer all our questions and help us with what we needed but they were extremely calm and collected with other guests during an obvious rush. There were rude customers all around even swore and they handled everything so well! They gave off such great energy! Just a reminder to customer retail workers are humans to. read more

I recently attempted to purchase a $700 dishwasher from this store and first off the appliance Dept failed to offer a price match even after I suggested buying a refrigerator in addition to (I had recently bought a range and microwave from them a week ago) to make it worth it. So I was pleasantly surprised when I left this feedback on the Home Depot survey saying I was disappointed and a manager called me back offering to sell me the appliance at the matched price. Geez imagine doing what your store advertises lol! Then when it came time to deliver my appliance their delivery team failed to call me and let me know when they'd be arriving (their 30min prior call per their process). I received a call stating 'we think we're at your home but we're not sure, can you please confirm the color of your house.... ' I let them know no one had called me prior to confirm the window or let me know they were on there way. When asking what could I expect- will you wait or reschedule. I was hung up on. Calling the delivery number listed with my order didn't help as they mentioned there were no notes and they didn't know anything. Frustrated I was told to call back the next day. The next day I received a call to reschedule. When they told me I'd have to wait two weeks for delivery I asked them to cancel and refund my order. The associate told me I'd receive a refund in 7 - 10 days... which is crazy and doesn't make any sense. I asked to speak with a manager Mr. Sterling he said it was processed and I'd see a refund in 2 - 3 days. I took his name and number down as I could see this going sideways. Over a week went by and I still saw no refund so I called the corporate number back to inquire and was told that it hadn't been processed yet. At this point I'm pretty livid because the service I've experienced just in buying this appliance is getting worse and in general the service fluctuates with the stores significantly and it feels like you have to put up with them for connivence sake. One minute a sales associate is great and helpful the next minute they act like you're bothering them because you're trying to get information or God forbid buy something! After being placed on hold for 10 minutes I let the sales associate know that I'm going to drive to the store and request my refund. Slightly because I just can't handle these people not knowing what they're doing, and more so because I've lost all trust and confidence in them. When I arrived at the store to request my refund of course they tell me that it will be difficult for them to do it since this isn't the store I bought it at the Tukwila location. I let them now I just need them to figure it out. After waiting for a manager to come over and 20 minutes for them to talk to the other store they process my refund. When I think it's about done they let me know that I've been credited my total -4 cents because the register needs some sort of transaction to be open to process a refund. This is just outrageous! I tell her that I need all of my money back which includes the 4 cents. For me this experience has been the cherry on top to Home Depot's overall bad customer service. I am done shopping with them and I would advise people if they want a trust worthy place to spend their money with decent service they should probably try another place. I booked the measurement from home depot. Then I got the link to select the carpet and wait for installation. Several days later, I got a phone call from Home Solution and the representative told me that they cannot install the carpet, without the asbestos test, because there are some stains on the existing tiles of the bedroom. I asked whether they can put the carpet over the existing tiles, but got answer no. I then asked whether they can just skip the installation on the bedroom, but still got the answer no. I was also told that I need to do the air testing as well because there are also some stains on the stairs. I then contacted with Home Depot, and asked customer order solution in this stores to help update the floor plan to exclude this bedroom and the stairs, and explained to the Home Solution that they do not even to work around the stairs. Home Solution agreed that there is no more need for air testing, but still need the asbestos test, without telling me why and how to do. I asked Home Depot whether I can get the carpet and install by myself. Home Depot told me that the carpet is already on the way to the Home Solution warehouse, and I have to drive for more than a hour to pick up by myself. Finally, I tried to complain to the Home Depot Bellevue store, then they just cancel the order and charge me 15 percent of restocking fee. read more
