During my home renovation, I've been to this Home Depot many times since it's only about a mile away. For the most part, the staff has been incredibly helpful, which is why I continue to shop here. Recently, I needed finish nails for a nail gun I had just purchased. On two separate occasions, I asked for help and was recommended the wrong gauge, even after explaining that the initial suggestion was not compatible with my gun. As a result, I ended up making multiple unnecessary trips. When I came in on today to return the nails, Phil at the return desk was professional and helpful from the start. Unfortunately, the assistant manager on duty around 5:20 PM, who I believe was named Tina, handled the situation very poorly. She opened one of the boxes, saw the Styrofoam covering the nails, and immediately said it could not be returned without even checking underneath it. After I asked her to actually look under the Styrofoam, she did, saw the nails were unused, and still refused the return, while oddly saying she would accept the other identical box. That made no sense. What was most disappointing was her response when I explained that I was only returning both boxes because I had been given the wrong recommendation twice by store staff. I had even brought my nail gun with me this time to avoid a third mistake. Her response was, 'It's your job to know your gun better.' That was unnecessarily rude, dismissive, and far below the level of customer service I would expect from an assistant manager at Home Depot. Thankfully, Nikki and Ronnie, who I believe is the Customer Experience Manager, completely turned the experience around. Ronnie spent about 10 minutes with me going through different nail sizes and physically checking them with my tool to make sure I left with the correct product this time. Both he and Nikki were professional, patient, and genuinely helpful. Honestly, employees like Ronnie and Nikki are the reason I continue coming to this Home Depot instead of going to Lowe's down the street. If my experience had ended with the assistant manager at the return desk, I likely would not be coming back. It was disappointing to see a cashier and another manager demonstrate a much higher standard of professionalism, care, and customer service than the assistant manager herself. 10/5 starts for Ronnie and Niki 0/5 for (Tina?) and her customer professionalism read more

This location is the only large equipment rental close to me, it is not the closest Home Depot to me so going there is out of the way just to be treated rudely and demeaned as I try to do business with the rental department is a nightmare. There is some older guy there who runs his smart mouth every time I go in there. All of Home Depot is hot garbage, Lowes/ACE/Big Tool are are fairly local to here and have provided much better service than I have received at Home Depot. 1. Defective gift cards that could not be redeemed, $200 out the window after dealing with customer service for an hour plus. 2. Scheduled delivery/installation of an appliance, instore associate said my situation was fine. The installation checklist had nothing but the dimensions and make sure the pathway to the appliance was clear. Delivery crew came through and couldn't not perform the paid for service. 3. Requested a refund for the services not rendered that I'll now need to spend more of my time going back to a store location to get my refund. I've now dealt with numerous HD "customer care" people all of whom have been nothing but a disappointment. Any other hardware store would be a better place to spend your time and money! Reply to the HD response: I've already gone through those channels hence #3, show you care about reviews or don't respond with the copy paste reply. Had to get a pair of nut and bolts so I went to Home Depot. I found the correct aisle after asking an associate. There were drawers full of items and I looked at the pictures to find different styles of the bolt I needed. Found what I wanted and then tried to find the nut which goes with the bolt. I couldn't figure out which size would work because the screw was in inches and the nut in mm. Found an associate who helped me but we couldn't match the two. There were size samples on the sides which I didn't see before. They were helpful. Finally decided on buying a different style of nut and bolt. The associate was helpful and friendly. The cashier was nice and rang me up without me having to know what I selected. I guess they have one price for the nuts and one price for the bolts regardless of size. read more

Right when I walked in to survey the refrigerators, I was approached by a sweetheart of a lady named Susan. You can tell she enjoys her job. She offered to print out information sheets on whatever I was interested in so I had what I needed to compare the specs and make an informed, educated decision. I asked her what her schedule was like because I didn't want her to miss out on her commission when I was ready to purchase. Susan informed me that they do not work on commission. THEY DO NOT WORK ON COMMISSIONS?? She was so helpful without the promise of an incentive? I miss when more were helpful just to be helpful. I came to this store after visiting my local Lowe's. At Lowe's I was only asked if I needed help as I was exiting the store. I'm still deciding on the refrigerator I want, however I know I'm getting it here! read more

My biggest complaint with these people is that they don't know how to sell you products. If you go in for paint, for example, they will grossly overestimate how much you need, so you end up with a bunch of extra unused materials that you cannot return because it is now "tinted." When I go into any business, I expect the people who work there at least know about what they are selling. I don't need you to be an expert or to come paint my place for me; but I expect a reasonable estimation based on the particulars I give you. While paint application can vary widely, it is unreasonable to recommend twice as much product as is needed. You can tell that they are hardly functional, because every time you ask for something, employees have to open up the crappy Home Depot app to find it. I don't see the purpose in asking people for help or guidance or suggestions, when they're basically just lumbering around trying to figure it out as they go. That's supposed to be my job as a DIY-er, not the people who are paid to point me in the direction of products that I need.... read more

I am a big Home Depot fan. I like the staff and usually have a good experience. However, I will never buy windows from them again. I had nothing but problems from the beginning to end. The measure on two windows was wrong. One of which they forced into the frame. It bowed and wouldn't lock. They replaced it but only after many problems. I have several rental properties and have put new windows in most of them with no problems These properties received windows from other companies. There was never any customer service with Home Depot throughout my project. My project went on for almost a year. I also had a warranty issue that went on for months. The people within this division will tell you anything they think you want to hear. I was lied to about most issues involved with my project. A date and start time is not something important to these people. We had a total of four no call no show appointments. Window management doesn't care. Upper management didn't even bother to show up as stated to see the problems first hand. The window itself is very disappointing in quality and looks. I was always told what a good and popular window this is. Go into a Home Depot store and look at especially the handle to raise and lower the window. The ends look like they are broken. If I could get my money back I would buy a better quality window from someone else that cares about me as a customer. Someone looking for new windows in my opion should look somewhere else. So last night around 8:15pm I went to pick up 29 boxes of flooring. I spent just on this $1951. The lady at the counter was great. I didn't ask but she offered to get loaders to help me. So two very young guys came up to my truck. Out of the 29 boxes I loaded 16 of them and between your two guys they did 13. Yet of the your guys asked the other if they get pay for this. So I told him "yes you do,look at your Orange apron) then the same guy asked again, ( do we have to do this all day?) I guess he doesn't want to work! I just want to give a big shout out to Julie, Holly and Barb. They were amazing and Gordon don't retire anytime soon the customers will really miss you. These gals know their stuff and are amazing customer service advocates. I drove well out of my way to be treated like a valued customer at this chambers store, I don't want to take away from what a wonderful experience I had tonight I just want to fill you in on what forced me to drive 20 minutes out of my way to a different Home Depot. At approximately 830 at night I drove up to the Gun club Home Depot in search of a Ryobi battery for my Weedwhacker. To my surprise there was a wonderful deal going on where you could get two batteries for $99 and get a second item free well there were not many choices .The light I grabbed, for some reason was not ringing out at the register as part of this promotion. We called for help and the gentleman argued with me that it wasn't part of the deal? I showed him on the sign where it said right on the sign by one of these items ( the batteries ) and get, a light a fan and many other pictures of options to choose from ( although several of the free items were out of stock! I became so annoyed that this gentleman who just wanted to argue with me I left without the batteries ! I called the manager and gave him the details to which he said all I can do is apologize! I said no teach your staff the details of the promotion and how to treat customers with respect!! I shop the Gun club Home Depot frequently during daytime hours, and the staff is amazing and on target but this evening crew acted as if this was a social event, no one wanted to work, they seemed bothered that they actually had to earn a paycheck and no one seemed to care about making this customer happy!! We purchased a microwave from Home Depot and paid for their people to install it. Now, the installers are refusing to come and install it. They want to be paid additional cash on top of the $139 fee we already paid. They say our walk isn't shoveled and they won't walk on snow. They make appointment and do not show up. We tried to get a refund and return the microwave but they say they have a 48 hour return policy. They have us "over a barrel"! Do not buy anything from this place. The customer service strategy at Home Depot appears to be to waste your time until you are so worn down that you give up. My complaint is about flooring damaged during delivery by the forklift. I called and talked to people at the store many times and have wasted hours and hours. 11/19/2022 - Order # H1526-430984 placed at Glendale Store #1526 for $4,166.96. This includes 80 boxes of Winding Brook Luxury Vinyl Plank Flooring plus $89 for delivery. When I looked online this was the closest store to my house that had 80 boxes of inventory. 11/21/22 Flooring delivered by forklift from Pioneer Hills Store #1523. This is the Home Depot location closest to my house. 11/22/22 My contractor started using boxes of flooring and discovered the damage. I immediately called Pioneer Hills store, who damaged the product upon delivery, and spoke with Jacob, the Assistant Store Manager to report damage from the Forklift to the boxes. 6 boxes were damaged on the ends by the forklift so I could not use them. We agreed this was 7.5% or $312.52. Jacob told me he would issue a credit which I should see in 3-5 days. I kept checking for this credit but never got it. I called the store several more times, and was told to wait a few more days. 11/30/22 Called Store, spoke to Heather, supervisor at Service desk. She told me she saw the credit in their system, but would have to speak with Jacob why did not go through. 12/8/22 After multiple phone calls to the store attempting to resolve, I visited the store and waited 1 hour to speak with Jacob. But I never got to because I was told he was "at lunch". Finally gave up on trying to resolve myself and filed a dispute with Chase, the credit card charged. After waiting months I just got back a copy of my receipt of the order placed with no resolution. 02/14/23 I called and spoke with Kenny, Customer Order Specialist at Pioneer Hills store. I followed up with an email explaining. To his credit Kenny did try to help me and at least followed up with me. But he told me since the original order was with the Glendale store, it was their problem. I ordered from the Glendale store because it was the closest store with 80 boxes. I do not know why Pioneer Hills delivered 80 boxes, this was internal to Home Depot. Kenny got back to me that the Glendale store issued $330.12 in cash on 12/13/22. This was NOT for the product damaged at delivery. My contractor finished the job and had 7 unopened good boxes which he returned to the Glendale store. The cash refunded was a discounted rate for 7 boxes. I never received the $312.52 for the 6 boxes damaged. I have pictures to show the damaged boxes and product. Once the end of the plank flooring was damaged by the forklift, so the whole piece cannot be used. read more

I had 4 windows installed by Home Depot. One arrived at my house with the installer cracked. It took 5 phone calls to get to the right person who said oh yeah I saw it was broken when it arrived but did nothing about it. Now I have to wait 6 weeks for a new one. Next the installer caulked all the drain holes shut so when it rains they would leak inside the house. Don't trust Home Depot installers, they used to be good but not any more! read more

This review is only for the tool rental dept. For those of you wanting to layout new hardwood floors DIY, DO NOT RENT ORBITAL SANDER to finish. You will need drum sander. The staff recommended orbital sander. Not knowing any better, took it home, worked on my floor all night long. Later on, i figure out they gave me defective machine. The bristle that holds foam was worn out and wouldnt hold it properly. I went back "steaming mad" because I wasted lot of time, lot of pads (cushin and sand paper) and electricity (bill comes month later). Got the new machine and redid everything but still couldnt take off the gauges or the filler. Just wasted more time and money. You will need drum sander for this. The pads and sand paper isnt cheap either. The dust trap on the machine is joke. They do not work! read more

On two separate occasions I've experienced a manager that was less concerned with customer satisfaction than squaring up with the customer and trying to provoke a fight. About a month later I bought a blind for a bedroom. Instead of cutting to the proper size the employee made me feel like a nuisance. When I went back to have the inevitable cut made they still made me feel like I was a pain. The only reason I went there was because the other HD near us had a broken blind cutter machine. I've met some nice people there but they don't seem to fit the prevailing "F the customer" attitude. read more

Please feel free to tell me the appropriate amount of time to wait to be acknowledged. How long should a person wait patiently for two people working a section to make eye contact and see if you need assistance, or to let you know they are currently working with another customer and they will be with you in just a moment? Do you find it odd that another customer has the common sense and decency to acknowledge another person's presence (who at this time has been waiting for at least 20 minutes) to see if that person just has a simply question. I appreciate this customer for politely assisting me and relinquishing a little bit of her shopping experience to help me out. My experience at Home Depot was disheartening and disappointing that Laura in Home Design opted to see me, ignore my presence, and opted to assist a couple who came into the area at least 5 minutes after I arrived in the department. I appreciate the store manager Jenny for taking the time to listen to my experience and my expectations. She did apologize on their behalf. I know that I will still shop at this Home Depot because it is convenient. They normally have the materials I need to start and complete projects. All of the other times I have been at this Home Depot I have received customer service that was prompt, knowledgeable staff, and courteous. But, today Jason and Laura disappointed me and deflated my excitement about the products and services I was seeking. It's all good. Do yourself a favor go to a mom and pop garden center. If you come to home depot you will wait in line to get in to the store when you're ready to check out you will be and another very long line to check out because they only have one cashier. Manager says they are in essential business but not a sensual enough to have more than 1 cashier so unless you have hours to spend go to a local mom and pop nursery and let's keep the money in the community anyway read more

I came into Home Depot with some paint questions. Apparently one of the workers was on lunch. There were multiple customers on all sides of the paint counter that were waiting for paint and waiting with questions etc. Mae did great to get everyone taken care of in a timely manner and kept her cool doing so. He helped me in my time of "unknown" tonight looking at light wall plates, different type of switches for different options such as LED lights compatible or not. Wow, such a simple task can have hundreds of options and many different styles and colors. Terrible customer service. They made numerous mistakes on custom orders and do not honor their warranties. They are happy to sell you thousands of dollars worth of product but when it's not correct they do not stand behind it. Trying to talk with Customer Service or their management team is just simply exhausting. We will go out of our way to find another location. read more

I rented a pressure washer from this Home Depot and had the worst experience. I came in to pick up and a HD employee (I wish I had his name but he said he served in the Air Force and had a TSgt pin on his hat) walked me to the pressure washer they had saved for me. I checked out with no issues and loaded the washer into my vehicle. Once I got home I set it up connecting my water hose to the machine and turning on the water before turning on the pressure washer. It would not turn on. The plug had a test/reset button and neither button lit up when I pressed it. I tried it on numerous outlets and it did not work. I called HD and told them the pressure washer would not power on and they told me to bring it back. It is about a 10 mile trip so 20 mile round trip. I drive back and when I entered the rental area for the second time the same employee that helped me before says that he gave me the wrong pressure washer and directed me to another one that he claimed did work. Not once did he apologize for my inconvenience but did say he would restart my clock because I had it set up for 4 hours. I just needed it to clean an oil stain on my driveway. So now I am leaving HD for the second time with another pressure washer that should be good to go. I get home and set it up the same way. Excited that I can finally finish this task of cleaning my driveway and thats when I notice that they did not include the nozzle on the gun. When I pull the trigger it shoots out like a normal garden hose with no force. I call them again and relay what I just found with the missing nozzle and the same rental guy remembered me and had an attitude. He says all the machines are suppose to have 3 nozzles and that I can come back and pick one up or he can void out my contract and give me my money back. I load the pressure washer in my vehicle and return to the HD for the third time. At this point I am tired and just want to return the washer and get my money back. When I get there, its a different guy and he looks at me and says my name before I told him. He does something on his computer and doesn't say anything to me the whole time. Finally he throws a receipt at me across the counter and says, 'you weren't charged'. No, 'I apologize' or 'sorry for the inconvenience or poor customer service.' No accountability at all. He said nothing but 'you weren't charged'. Here I am, 3 trips to HD and once I get home it will be 60 miles total that I drove and with how expensive gas is, I spent more on gas then I did on this rental. And on top of all of this, the oil stain in my driveway is still waiting on me to pressure wash it. I don't understand how they could release rental products without making sure they work or ensuring that it has all accessories needed. I can only speak on the rental section of this Home Depot and the customer service was less than desirable. I would not recommend this place for rentals. read more

I can't catch a break with this location. I purchased about 8K of appliances for my house the night they were setting up their Christmas. We literally couldn't hear our salesperson. It was miserable. When our appliances were delivered, the company that Home Depot uses were incredibly rude and lied to my face regarding the measuring THEY did for my double oven. When I was able to prove they lied, no apology. I ordered 2 style of handles for my kitchen cabinets. When they arrived at the store, I picked them up to find the package was already opened and two of them were missing. I have to wait another 2 weeks for the replacement to arrive. Each time I spoke with a Manger whom basically listened and did nothing. At no time did I raise my voice or call anyone out, just stated the facts. After all the money I've spent and still have to spend on my house, I was offered nothing. I walked out after the last experience and drive right over to Lowes. I opened an account with them and will be giving all my business. It's a shame that I had to throw away about a decade of loyal business because they just don't care. I don't expect much else from Lowes, but at least I'm going in with that expectation. read more
