Despite that frustrating situation, the office staff and maintenance crew have been amazing and always try their best. The staff was incredibly helpful and supportive when that trouble occurred, as well as with other events. I always recommend Mark-Taylor properties to my coworkers and friends. My mother-in-law only rents from them, which is actually how we ended up here. I am truly a firm believer in Mark-Taylor properties!

Me and my husband lived at Aviva for about a year and it was really nice and clean at first and…read morethen later throughout the year , there started being issues with dog poop being all over the apartment complex that you could literally not walk around without stepping on it somehow. There was dog urine in the elevator and even throw up that stayed on the elevator for about 3 days until I had to contact corporate for Marc Taylor to inform them about the biohazard and I felt that the complex was not doing anything for it . I think this apartment has a lot of good reviews on here because they use an app called Henry for all residents that live there and almost bribe people to give them 5 star reviews for money in return. So if I were you I would take the 5 starts review with a grain of salt and I hope that with this review they are able to provide more cleanings and more support to the residences providing hazardous feedback. Also, I think another big negative impact that affected us renewing here was there there is HUGE problem with packages getting stolen here because the gates in and out of the property are not fully closed and many people are just walking into the apartments whenever using all amenities. Bellow I have added a screenshot of the manager of Aviva asking all residence for 5 star reviews in return for a cash price .

Insides are good and they do maintenance pretty well. Nothing in the playground except two swings and one is usually broke. Just dirt in this area and the two grills are old iron things that never ever get cleaned and the burnt charcoal is all around under and spread by the kids and sometimes they cover different areas with the black soot. Unless you call and complain no one ever cleans the area. No one cleans at all on any type of level, when the plants die it's because they never water them, no sprinklers at all. They die then maybe they pull them out! They have no security cameras at all, except right at the office. If you're lucky to live up front or in a one bedroom then it's a better looking area because all the kids live in back where there are two and three bedrooms. I'm unlucky and live around screaming kids with parents who don't really care.

This place is a joke. Police are here OFTEN as well as fire/ambulance due to overdose drug deaths…read more Dont leave anything outside because it WILL be stolen. The only thing this place stays on top of is towing residents vehicles. I've lived here for 3 years and my vehicle was towed because I backed in to unload groceries when I came home from work and never turned my car around before I went to sleep. As I go to leave for work in the morning, I immediately notice my car is gone, putting my job in jeopardy as I am now stranded. 300 hundred dollars later, I get my car out of impound. Avoid this place. TLDR - Sonoma Valley apartments allows crime, theft, drugs (including OD deaths) to go unchecked, but will tow vehicles for being parked backwards, IN THEIR ASSIGNED PARKING SPOT, on weeknights no less. The DECENT residents have JOBS that Sonoma Valley will willingly put in jeopardy over parking policy.

The grounds are constantly dirty, with dog poop all over, and many units have serious water damage. The management is extremely unprofessional. Be very careful before signing anything--they'll talk about a 12-month lease during the application process but then slip in an 18-month term without clearly telling you. In my case, they had me sign a form stating the lease would end in 12 months, then moments later added an 18-month lease that I didn't notice right away. It felt deceptive and dishonest. To make matters worse, maintenance will just walk into your apartment without any notice. It's scary and a total violation of privacy. There's also a constant police presence here. Key fob- Review…read more1/5! My boyfriend and I each had a key fob to open the gates, as everyone does, they worked well for a little bit but then my boyfriend's fob stopped working. He went down to the office and asked for a new fob and they said they told him that they are trying to fix it and it was something wrong with the system. It never needed up working so I went down there and they told me the same dumb story. Anyway we never ended up getting a new fob because they're lazy and don't want to help anybody ever. DO NOT EVER LIVE HERE THEY ARE TERRIBLE AND CHARGE YOU FOR THINGS TOU DONT OWE. Refrigerator broke- Review 2/5 In the beginning of August 2024, while living at this terrible complex, our refrigerator broke. I put in an emergency request for it to be fixed. 4 days. IT TOOK 4 DAYS FOR THEM TO COME FIX MY FRIDGE. Absolutely insane. Don't have any emergency needs because they won't help you quick. We threw away over $400 of food. Never answer calls- Review 3/5! My boyfriend and I lived here for 2 years and let me tell you, getting ahold of anyone............ well actually you can't because they don't answer their phones. Oh and if you leave a voicemail. They don't respond. Best bet if to physically go to the front office but you'll be lucky if someone is actually even in there or isn't a complete asshole. Every time I called the first call would ring to voicemail then after that if I called a second and third time they would decline my call. To top it off they rotate through front office staff like toilet paper. And they're always terrible. Charged for rent- Review 4/5! We decided not to renew our lease as we kept having issues with the front office and we wanted a bigger place. We gave our notice exactly 60 days in advance as the lease says. Our lease was up 5/31/2025. We moved out a week prior on 5/24/25. I went back on 5/31/25 and scrubbed the whole apartment so it was clean when we handed the keys over. That day, 5/31/25, my boyfriend walked over to the office and HANDED THE KEYS TO THE LADY AT THE FEONT DESK!!! Well, about a month goes by and I get a letter in the mail from collections. They didn't email, call or send us a letter stating we even owed anything. Sending us to collections with no communication was ridiculous. Part of the collections was for a cleaning fee of about $130 and the other $300 WAS FOR JUNE RENT AND WE WERWNT EVEN THERE!! How would we be there if we have the keys over in May?? See review 5/5 to hear how terribly the handled it. Spoke to manager- Review 5/5 When we first got the collections letter, I called the office approximately five times in one day and not a single time did they answer my phone call. I also left 2 to 3 voicemails and none of them were returned. Shocker right? Again goes back to her review number 3. My boyfriend called as well and again no answer. I went down there to talk to the manager. When I got there I talked to the front desk, which are always rude. She told me that the manager was gone and would be back in approximately 30 minutes. I went and waited in my car. I then came back in and asked her if the manager was back and she said that he was not, but would let me know when he was in, so I was sat in the lobby and waited. About 30 to 45 minutes had passed by and I went to go ask her if the manager was in so I could speak to him and she was not there. I walked up to the door that led to the rest of the office that only employees are allowed in and the manager was sitting at his desk and he asked if there was anything he could help me with. I told him actually I have been waiting to talk to you about a collections letter I got and the front desk lady was supposed to tell you I needed to talk to you. The manager informed me that she went to lunch. Leaving me there and going to lunch without informing the manager again shows how disrespectful and rude this company is. I proceeded to tell the manager that we handed the keys over on May 31 and we should not have been charged for June rent. He said he will look into it and give me a call back to see if he could fix the problem and I never received a call back. The collections company did call later that week and stated if I did not pay the collections then it would go towards my renters history so we paid it to not get any penalties. But till this day, we were basically robbed of $430 something dollars because they charged us for June rent when we were never there, but nobody will help us or knows how to communicate and return calls. PLEASE DO NOT LIVE HERE! They don't care about you.

I tried to reach the apartment manager and some nasty put-out lady with an attitude answered the phone. She seemed very put out to even answer my questions. I hear this is a section 8 property and it looks like it. The one handicap spot has a car parked in it and the sign is blank so that explains why a 20ish person is parked in the space without a handicap placard anywhere on the car. The rest of the property looks like it is full of sketchy people. My wife and I don't need an attitude from the woman running the front office if she acts like you are interrupting her day of doing nothing she has zero business working in a field where your job is to help people and she can't even make eye contact which also tells me she is a full blown liar. I am trained to listen for and notice these traits in people as I am a former police officer. The managers name should be Rounda as her story went around and never met in the middle and the prices changed twice.
