At first it was a great place…read moreto live until I realized the manager (Michael) and owner (Michelle) were asking me to tattle on other residents. They would say just let me know if you see or hear anything suspicious. I thought to myself, wtf? They would also tell me everything about other residents. Personal information, information no one should be given. It was embarrassing. It mostly made me feel embarrassed for them. It felt like I was talking to high school children. It didn't stop there, the gossiping continued. They eventually realized I was not the one to obtain Intel from. I never had any for them. It took awhile, but they finally got the drift. All was fine after that. The utilities are all paid and I enjoyed that. Except you don't have control over your heat or air. You have to wait until the owner decides that she will turn the heat off and put the air on or visa versa put the heat on and turn off the air. See, the building is so old, that the heating and cooling system (which has to be a relic from the fifties or sixties) has to be turned on and off by a company that comes out. I am sure that costs her money so she waits as long as she can in the winter to turn the heat on and just as much time when it's spring to turn on the air. This last year it was into the nineties before the air was eventually turned on. Let me tell you, it was so hot in my apartment that I could not sleep at night. It was awful. I never did receive a decisive answer as to when the air would be switched from heat to cool from management. The owner has another building that is her baby. Broadway Park apartments. That one has a pool, they have immaculate grounds and workers over there always upgrading and cleaning. Over here, we are lucky to get the courtyard blown out. The sidewalks were painted a couple of years ago and the paint is all peeling and looks terrible. The laundry room is always dirty and sometimes the yard guys let the grass out front get so high you can't see your shoes when walking through it. But this is all just complaints from me. What I really want to tell you is that this owner has ruined people's lives. She has taken people's housing away from them and kicked people out when they had no where to go, making them homeless. All that from a woman who claims to be a Christian. (Now we have Bible verses taped on the wall by the mailboxes!) I'm not a Bible thumper or anything, I believe in God though. The God I believe in does not appreciate gossiping or throwing people out in the streets. It hasn't been just one, over the years I've been here it has been more than five that I know of. One time she stood on one of the picnic tables in the courtyard and yelled at a man on the third floor why she wanted him out and none of it was for professional reasons. They were all personal. Specifically the company he kept, and the friends he had over. She now has cameras installed so she can see who goes where and what time and what apartment people are going to. This is so she can either terminate your lease early or not renew your lease when that time comes. She will even falsefy lease information to show your move in date is the date she wants you out. She did that to my best friend. If this isn't enough for you to NOT rent here, here are some of the issues that I've had while living here: 1. My kitchen electricity, out of the blue all shut down. I had to plug in my refrigerator at a neighbors apartment. Then it went back on just as quick as it went out. About a week after that, the same thing happened. Management had to call in an electrician. There was something wrong with the fuse box and it had to do with the electric outside coming into my apartment. 2. For some reason, the bathroom fan/light, will just out of the blue, leak water. They have come out and looked at it. They find nothing wrong. Since it isn't leaking when they are there, they can't fix the problem. 3. I also have a water leak right at my bedroom door that is unexplainable. 4. Management accused me of smoking weed and threatened to have the police come with the dogs to search my apartment. 5. I was out with my mom one day while we were getting pedicures and the owner called me and accused my friend (racial profiling) who is black, of being on the property without invitation and stealing. I said that was impossible because he was at work. The unprofessionalism of this motley crew is ridiculous. They deserve to be chastised in the worse possible way.

I took time-stamped photos of every room to make sure everything was properly documented. Even after all of that, I was charged 60 dollars for carpet shampooing, 275 dollars for a so-called deep cleaning, and 12.50 for removing a few small items that would have taken less than five minutes to handle. There was no explanation, no photo evidence, just a final bill with vague charges. When leaving a review on Google, they gave a polished response filled with generic statements about policies, standards, and procedures. They never denied the charges, never showed any proof, and never actually addressed what I was questioning. Just a lot of carefully worded deflection. They'll probably reply to this review with the same type of message. It will sound polite and professional, but it will avoid giving any real answers. That's how this place operates. It sounds friendly on the surface but underneath, it's a business that quietly pads invoices during move-out and counts on people not fighting back. I'm not writing this because I'm upset. I'm writing this because people should know what they're dealing with before signing a lease. This is not about cleanliness or following rules. This is about them turning the move-out process into a revenue stream. Take photos after you moved out (like I did). Save everything. Do not assume doing the right thing will protect you here. They know exactly what they're doing, and it has nothing to do with helping you or being happy that you were a resident.

They really take care of tenants and it really stands out to me because I've lived in places that can't even compare. They are so kind and really work with you. There's safety gates and security person. The whole complex is so clean, peaceful and it's so enjoyable to walk around it. The gym is so nice, spacious, clean and complete you don't need to join a gym out there. The pool is sooooo nice clean and just beautiful. The grills... OMG. I can't even. Since I moved to Acero apartment, I always tell people that I move to a resort. That's what it feels to me living in Acero Apartments. there's also a dog park with a station to bathe dogs. My dog enjoys these so much! And on top of it all, the apartments inside are just so clean, spacious and beautiful. My family and I are really happy here and very grateful for caring management. He didn't hit anyone, steal, or even approach the apartment manager, yet she told us no matter what she was calling the police. everything she told the police was a complete lie. She still lying today and it's Monday. I do not feel safe here. if something so small can trigger management to call the police can you imagine what they will do to me and my family going forward... I am scared to be here.

It has a fun vibe-upbeat, fun and welcoming. It's pretty clear that the folks who live here appreciate the amenities, as manifested by the amount of people out and about when I visited. There's always something to do and you won't be bored here if you get involved in any of the resident led clubs, hang out in the arcade room or by the pool.

I took a short stroll around the lake near the club house, I counted 15 piles of poop.. tried taking my dog to the little dog park, I personally cleaned up 22 piles with the scooper until I couldn't do it anymore and there were at least 10 other piles. PLEASE CATCH AND FINE THESE PEOPLE! It's getting unbearable!! Edit: The "business owner" is lying, there has been a bag of trash and some empty bottles on a bench right by the Leasing Center for 2 weeks now and no one has cleaned it up. We watch sports events together in the clubhouse on the huge tv screen ( Lot of resident-led classes, so we get to do & learn what we want at no cost--walking, writing, book club, art, music, Bunco, bingo, poker, dominoes, pickleball, & volleyball are some of the great offerings. British tea every other Wednesday is a fun & friendly activity for mostly women, but men are invited too. No raised pinkies there! Weekly "happy hour"potlucks are where neighbors catch up & share what we've done that week & in our travels & lives. Saturday AM coffee is a low-key gathering where newcomers can come & learn about our community and neighbors can catch up. Our maintenance guys Buddy & Marek deserve gold medals--they are quick to help & highly knowledgeable. All the staff here is helpful too (big shout-out to Alyse our activities director who brings us topnotch creative ideas, classes, and activities and dear smart Kate who answers every question --and if she doesn't know the answer immediately, she'll find out!) We've been here six months and are loving it, particularly our wonderful neighbors & friends we've made. We're enjoying everyone! Bless you all!!

This place was 5 stars the whole way, then our AC went out... it is currently 120 degrees outside…read moreevery day in August as usual... it has been 3 days now. The apartment complex put some low powered AC unit in the window living room and is still 90 degrees in the apartment... We had to go get multiple ac units for our bedrooms our own self, since they did not provide them. Maintenance couldn't care less, Tavalo charges an arm and leg for rent just for poor service. The apartment is 90 degrees during the day, my dog is probably suffering here of heat exhaustion... no offer for reimbursement on rent, no formal apology, currently . Just hey we will get it fixed as soon as possible... The maintenance guy is like well we will have to order a new part... I will be contacting my lawyer... thank you! My last apartment was on that same stuff. AC broke took 3 weeks to fix! NOT HAPPENING AGAIN!!!

FULL TRANSPARENCY: After signing our 12 month long lease 5 months ago we are leaving…read more This is by far the most high maintenance apartment we have ever lived in. It got to the point where we stopped reporting issues because we were tired of how frequently maintance had to come in. Here are the issues we did report... 1. A water bubble formed in our ceiling. This resulted in our house smelling like sewer and our ceiling having to be cut open. A total of three days of maintance & contractors coming in and out for it to get fixed. This was in our master bedroom where the bathrooms have no doors. 2. Our kitchen sink began to cave in, literally unattaching itself from the countertop. 3. Our garbage disposal went out as well as our dishwasher. 4. Outside of our home smelled like gas when we first moved in. Southwest gas was called & the man that came to fix the issue let us know he had already came to this complex six times that week for the same issue. It was extremely inconvenient to be told we had to rush home or wait around while these issues got fixed. Issues we didn't report & quality of the homes. 1. We pay $125 a month for a technology package... for one sensor, the ability to lock/unlock front door, turn on one light in the kitchen through an app, and bad internet. Our sensor does not work, I have troubleshooted it over 20 times. The front door lock does not work through the app because the front door lock hole is broken. 2. Although a luxury apartment, there are NO lights in the bedrooms. You will need to buy a lamp on top of paying $2300 a month. Did not think we had to check for that at this price range. 3. 4 outlets in our home do not work. 4. We pay a pest control fee each month. I have found 3 centipedes and 7 spiders in our home. 5. We loved that the homes were "energy efficient". During the winter we felt a cold air in our living room area, that was due to the fact that our window was disconnected from the inside wall... air from outside is slipping in as if we have the window open at all times. 6. The homes are very high maintance in regards to cleaning for the following reasons. All the sinks in the home are flat instead of being a slight decline into the drain. Gunk practically lives in the corners if you do not clean your sink as often as you use it. All of the calking in the kitchen and bathroom is turning yellow. The metal in the shower is cheap and it turns your shower rusty orange. The paint is so cheap on the walls it gets dirty VERY easily & if you try to clean it the paint will rub off. Benefits are the community is great. Despite all issues, I've had the best experience with maintenance, they are very kind!! We did have one off putting encounter with Marisa that we felt was very unprofessional. We have been in contact with her about the lease termination fee ($4128) but during this specific encounter she had a lot of attitude. We needed help getting an invoice of the charge sent to our email & she was completely unhelpful stating she had no idea what we were talking about or what we needed. I take it she was having a bad day or maybe she no longer cared since we were leaving soon, this was unlike encounters we had with her in the past.
