Eagle View RV Resort has many great spots with wonderful views, nice amenities all for a very fare rate and and centrally located to everything you could need in Fountain Hills AZ. Just minutes away and yes even a free shuttle to Fort McDowell Casino . What we really enjoy is that while you are close to Fountain Hills when you are Eagle View RV Resort you feel mikes away from the city and the park has a peaceful and tranquil feel. In addition one more important thing to mention is the staff has been incredibly friendly, helpful and polite. And yes the park is dog friendly but people still need to use common sense and keep your dog on a lease and pick up after them. We have really enjoyed our stay and look forward to a return visit again soon. I would just like to include a very sincere thank you to Kris. Thank you for choosing a beautiful spot for us. I really appreciate your time, consideration for our dogs and all your help. You made our stay wonderful And yes, please check out my pics. Yes the pictures of the cows were real . They just strolled right down the street along the fence line of our camp site doing a little grass and weed maintenance . They just made the stay even more memorable. Have a blessed day

Lost Dutchman State Park - Love seeing cairn markers

I don't do a good job keeping track of all the hikes I complete (unlike other friends I know who…read moredocument everything), so for the beginning of 2026, I'm going to try to do a better job of documentation. I love the Lost Dutchman and have been here several times and it never gets old and each time I come, I am still so awestruck by the beauty of this mountain. Years ago, I completed Flatiron with my then partner and didnt know that it was rated a very difficult hike. I enjoyed it, got a really nice work out and liked the scramble up to the top! I just remember it was quite windy at the top but spectacular views. Dogs are allowed on Flatiron, but don't do that to your pup, its a pretty gnarly hike, let your puppy rest honestly as I saw so many doggies struggling. Tonight, I came just for a leisurely stroll right before sunset and also hoping to catch the first almost full moon of 2026. I love nature and being outdoors and my favorite way to spend time. Park entrance was packed tonight and the fee was $10. There is a small visitor center with souvenirs, guides, some snacks, bathrooms and last minute hiking needs. I think you can also camp here, check on their website. I parked in the Cholla day use lot and did part of the Treasure Loop and hiked for about 3 miles slowly, and spent about 2+ hours in the park. My goal tonight wasn't really to hike strenously but more to get a glimpse of the sunset and the beautiful 2026 Wolf Moon. All my goals were accomplished. Park is well maintained. I used the bathroom and it was very clean and a nice park bathroom. Plenty of covered picnic tables too. Park closed at 8pm tonight (winter). There are all different level trails here and the rangers here are super nice and helpful. Ask them any questions and they are happy to help. There are also many kinds of free maps available in the visitor center. I had a MTB map, a hiking trail map, a birding map, a native plant map! I am all mapped up! If you come and do a hike, wear sturdy hiking shoes, wear sunscreen, head covering, bug spray (there were quite a lot of mosquitoes when I hiked tonight which annoyed the heck out of me as I left my bug spray at home), lots of water, some snacks, and also headlamps (I hiked back down after sunset and the headlamp helped a lot). One of the best AZ state parks, the views are amazing (so many couples here getting their photos professionally taken), definitely check it out.

There is a serious problem at this park with feral and stray cats, where the residents are the only…read moreones who take it upon themselves to handle the situation. There are four in the park who have taken it upon themselves to do TNR to try to manage the problem. For those who may not know, TNR is Trap, Neuter, and Release. The cats are trapped, taken to a local spay clinic, and then brought back home to recover. They must be released where they were trapped. There have been at least 10 cats in the park TNR'd by the residents, some of which were pregnant, and those pregnancies were aborted. Some found loving homes, and some went to a barn cat program. At least two were too feral and were returned to the park as required by law. In Arizona, killing or harming feral and stray animals is considered a form of animal cruelty and is illegal. This includes actions such as trapping them in inhumane conditions, leaving them to die, or using them as bait. The law protects all animals, including community cats, from mistreatment, poisoning, and unsafe trapping methods. Instead of taking care of the problem as the property manager, Diana Hopps chooses to punish the residents who have chosen to take it upon themselves to handle the stray/feral cat population humanely. The residents at Sunny Crest Mobile Home Park are living on a limited income with ever-increasing lot rents and being forced to pay for yearly palm trimmings. The least the park could do is pay to hire one of the many humane and knowledgeable cat trappers in the area to TNR these cats. She complains that she "smells cat urine," and there are residents who complain that the ferals have urinated on their plants or yard furniture, yet the property manager does nothing about it except to complain about smelling urine, when those residents are doing their best to try to alleviate the problem with TNR. But we are not professionals and need help with this process. The park needs to hire someone to do TNR. Feeding feral/stray cats offers several benefits, including: - Improving their physical condition: A consistent food source can help a malnourished cat regain weight and improve its overall health. -Easier TNR: Regular feeding can make it easier to trap the cat for Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) programs, which are vital for controlling the stray population. -Monitoring their health for injuries that may require veterinary care. animals -Bonding and socialization: Consistent interaction, starting with feeding, might lead to eventual socialization, making the cat more adoptable. Right out of the gate, she started making much-needed improvements here. The community looks so much better now and looks like an enjoyable place to live, which it is now.
