Living here was an absolute headache from before we even moved in to even after moving out. Giving one star solely because the maintenance guys were rock stars. My fiancé and I got everything dialed to move in last November. Utilities set up, couch ordered, moving company scheduled all for the apartment to call us 3 days before move in saying they had double booked our unit. They tried to get us to move to the second floor which we obviously were not okay with. They somehow came up with a unit for us (handicap unit) and all seemed well for the most part. Then the night before we move in we get a call saying whoever worked the front office not only double booked the unit, but also miscalculated our prorated rent and we had to pay another few hundred dollars before we could move in. You would think with the nightmare was over, but no. Come move in day we get the keys to our new unit only to find out it's a complete opposite floor plan as our original so that lovely couch we ordered would not work for our unit. You would think after all this they would knock off some money for rent, but no lol. Now to actually living here--the front office has about a 48-72 hour turnaround time. If you live on the first floor expect there to be an abundance of dust, dirt, spiders and crickets constantly making its way into your apartment because the weatherstripping isn't good which is crazy because it's a brand new apartment. And I'm not just talking one or two crickets. I'm talking like killing 5-6 a day. The loudest chirping all night long. In your apartment, behind your fridge, in the vents above your toilet (yes I'm serious). If you are afraid of spiders you should probably get used to the sights of wolf spiders and brown recluse before signing a lease here. It doesn't matter how many times their awful pest company comes (when they're free to actually come) and god forbid the monsoons bring in those black Beatles again. Once again apartment blamed the weather and bad weather stripping and actually told me to go out and buy traps for the Beatles since they were crawling all over me in my sleep. A brand new bug infested apartment. The walls are paper thin. I had to file so many noise complaints against our upstairs neighbor before the apartment finally just told us to call the cops. I don't know who vacuums at 2am and blasts music every night of the week, but that wasn't enough for the office to do something even though all the other neighbors were complaining as well. Next on my list of reasons not to move here is the mold in our bathroom. Forever growing mold. So much mold a mushroom even sprouted in the corner of the mold inside a brand new bathroom. Once again apartment blames us saying we aren't wiping down the water after we shower lol. We knew it wasn't us, but we did our best to keep the bathroom as dry as possible. Fast forward to move out day and we opened the utility closet outside our door to grab a skateboard and what did we find? Mold, lots of mold and black mold at that. Upon moving out nobody ever reached out to us to let us know move out was approaching even though we knew, never reached out to do a final walk through or give us a solid move out date. We ended up going 2 days past our designated move out date and got charged almost $500 in fees. Once again you would think because of all the crap we went though we would get a little break, but nope lol. Don't expect to get any of your deposit back. We didn't. We didn't even ever here from the apartment again. I will admit my kid did spill crayola paint in a small area of her bedroom, but my entire family is in construction and I'm pretty positive even with that we should have gotten some money back, but no lol. Not surprising. If the apartment says something for your apartment is ok "back order" what they really mean is just learn to live without it. Speaking out living without it-- beware of having mail or packages shipped here. They will go missing. This may be the one time the apartment actually came through and found all my stuff, but not before I called multiple times saying that Amazon stated the front office took my packages. The pool is great--when it's actually open, but if you ask me the price for these apartments is not worth it for just a nice pool. Unless of course you love sleeping with spiders and crickets.... read more
