Always a big fan of Hampton Social! First time at the River North location, and it did not disappoint. Our drinks were delicious, we got the pink reverie, I like is yacht , and espresso martini. The Pink Reverie was our favorite, but they were all delicious. John our waiter was attentive and knew the menu well. For entrees we we ordered the Caesar salad, truffle lobster bisque and melt, and shrimp tacos. Don't sleep on the salsa for those tacos! What really put is over the edge was the kitchen made too much crab and shrimp bruschetta, and even though we were all full, we couldn't say no to that! We would absolutely go back again. read more

We walked in on a Friday afternoon around 4:00. No one was there to greet us for a few minutes. We saw workers busy & a couple of them just texting. Finally a guy comes up, still texting and says 2? Ok, not the best welcome. But the place was decorated so cute for Christmas & it was warm & cozy. So we're were happy. Also, didn't ask where we'd like to sit. We went here for the second time and was pleased with everything Hampton Social had to offer. We got a martini, bang bang shrimp, and a salad. I've waited a few years to visit this spot & it was worth the wait... Service was amazing from the time I walked inside. The hostess was extremely pleasant with a big smile in her face. Went to Hampton Social club while visiting Chicago for lollapalooza. Thought they had a really solid brunch menu with an assortment of fun drinks as well. I ordered the fried fish sandwich - was a big fan of the pickles and overall thought it tasted like a lighter alternative to a Chick-fil-A sandwich. Parmesan fries were also a great addition - they even come with a side of truffle mayo. Would recommend to anyone in the area. read more

this is like the 7th stop on our restaurant week tour and this place was very mid. Let me start by saying Victor G was beyond nice and attentive, also the buss boy, host, and bartender. The food was another story tho. the appetizers were really good beside the 4 Brussels you get with the appetizer, crab and lobster bruschetta was super bomb. The salmon was overly fishy and not seasoned. the best part of the dish was the greens (sad), the "roasted carrots" were also not roasted enough because they were still hard. The bisque was good but the lobster melt was also unseasoned and underwhelming. they didn't even have one of the desserts but the lava cake was amazing. Chocolate cake was mid and store bought. Started with a round of drinks and skipped the apps since we were in a rush to make a movie nearby. We got the smash burger and upcharged the side to fries, dynamite shrimp and then a side of Mac and cheese and carrots. The burger was a bit overcooked and wasn't really smash burger. No crispy edges or anything. Seemed more like 2 thin patties, but not smashed. Flavor was good, meat quality seemed good, but needed some sauce. Fries were great. The party planner was amazing -- super responsive, organized, and helped us build the perfect food menu for our group. Every guest raved about the food; everything was fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented. We tried The Hampton Social for lunch while on a business trip to Chicago. This chain restaurant has beach vibes with wicker throughout and nautical decor in blue and white. Stumbled upon this place for happy hour on a Friday while visiting Chicago for the first time. We saddled up to the bar and were pleasantly surprised with the HH menu. All the drinks we had were delicious and service was prompt. There was live music and it is pumped throughout the restaurant (including the bathroom!) Which is such a nice touch. Chicago Restaurant Week 2026 drew me here for dinner! The menu had some great options to choose from so I went with a few others so we could share!! Had the Sand and Smoke cocktail and I think the brown sugar bourbon makes it sweeter than expected! I am such a fan of the honey glazed brussels sprouts here! The roast was so crisp, and the honey glaze gave it a wonderful sweet and savory taste! YUM. The whipped goat cheese and almonds also make the dish taste different than others I've had elsewhere. Dynamite shrimp came out hot and crispy, and heavy on the creamy chili sauce taste. The main dishes we had were okay (honey glazed norwegian salmon, filet mignon, & truffle lobster melt & bisque), but nothing that was a must-try or standout in terms of taste, and portions felt a little small. I thought the tomato bisque was very tart, as well. Got to try all three desserts on the CRW menu (caramel lava cake, triple threat chocolate cake, & apple crumble). The caramel lava cake was the best of the three, by far!! It was ooey, gooey and decadent. The vanilla gelato tasted like vanilla bean and was a nice cold contrast to the warm lava cake. Enjoyed same vanilla gelato and contrast on the apple crumble but the apples on the apple crumble were a little bland. The chocolate cake was exactly what I imagined it to be, and actually tasted better chilled as leftovers. The restaurant is spacious with a nice, warm and elevated ambiance. Attentive service. Had a good time but don't think I'd come back for CRW. The regular prices for the same dishes are a bit pricey for what it is. Found this place in passing and decided to stop in on a Friday afternoon which led into happy hour. I had the buttery lobster roll which was delicious and everything I expected for it to be--Market price ran about $40.00. Food was on the pricey side as everything on the menu was about $20.00 and up. Cocktails were quite punchy which I could appreciate; can't remember the name of the drink but I believe it's called island water or tequila water lol it's their spin on a classic margarita--Can't go wrong with that one, it's the perfect balance. A few couples and groups from happy hour were still hanging out. We were immediately seated at a high top table by the bar overlooking the street. It was so hot and the breeze coming through was nice. Their menu has some fun seafood dishes, chicken, salads and cocktails. We skipped the drinks this time but ordered dinner. We shared the roasted brussel sprouts (no photo), shrimp tacos, Greek bowl, and the chicken sandwich. They were out of the fish sandwich (original order) so it must be a hit! We really enjoyed our entrees - like surprisingly good. The brussel sprouts were amazing! Our server was chill, but attentive. They easily split the bill 4 ways and no automatic gratuity. Came here last night after our Christmas party with my girls! I was super excited to get the lobster roll because it's always delicious. I had hoped to sub the chips that come with it for truffle fries, even with an upcharge, but the waitress said that wasn't possible. Always do this every time I order or come to this restaurant and it's never been an issue. My friend and I decided to split an order of truffle fries from the appetizer menu instead. Since we ordered the fries separately, I asked if I could substitute the chips for a different side, and she said I could swap them for a side salad. However, she failed to mention there would be an additional charge for that, which was frustrating when the check came. Had I known about the extra cost upfront, I might have ordered differently. To make things worse, our truffle fries were cold, which was disappointing. On the bright side, the guy who brought us our food suggested hot garlic butter for our lobster rolls, and that was an awesome touch--it really elevated the dish. Overall, I feel like I just caught them on a bad night. The food and experience are usually better, so I'm hoping next time will be back to their usual standard. read more

Our server Marco was awesome - not only friendly and attentive, but also pulled off a small birthday surprise for me :) All the food was great as well - this might be a hot take, but their lobster roll tasted better than most places I tried in NYC, Boston, or Maine/New Hampshire. Drinks were excellent, too. Only reason for 4 stars - the mandatory gratuity part threw me off. This is usually something that people get charged for parties of 6-8 or more, not every single guest. This review is based on a very limited work function happy hour. A group of us got there around 4:30 to get our drinks on. Besides the other groups within our company, there were plenty of people whom had gotten their grooves started. Definitely a fun, lively atmosphere. Servers were awesome and attentive. The ambiance is like being at a yacht club, there was a lady with a guitar that was singing. I just can't tell you enough how flipping awesome this place is. But the best part was the employees, they deserve two thumbs up and a raise lol. Caroline was our bartender, she was fun and outgoing. The staff made me laugh because they all got a long , you could feel that their a close knit group. Then there was Rome, I did not think he knew how to smile but I finally saw him smile. It's always nice when a restaurant accommodates you even though you walk in less than an hour before they close. The service was really good. The food was just amazing. We had the shrimp tacos and clam chowder. The depth of the flavors really made these dishes stand out. This place is a vibe! Like literally you walk in and instantly feel like you're out of town. Think beach town vibes...light, airy, sunny. Live music and packed crowd. Caroline is the BEST! If it wasn't for her, I would probably be leaving a bad review. I was there on friday 1/16 with a friend around 730/ 8pm. Prior to the rush, we had a great salad, great rose & great service, with Caroline who was bartending by herself on a friday night....then the rush came, from all directions. Major kudos to the way she was handling it, her entire bar filled up and the dining room was also clearly picking up judging by the tickets she was trying to tend to in her well..which all seemed to happen in minutes. It was so truly appalling to me to notice her manager just sitting there on his laptop offering not even a single finger of help until I had to prompt him. Even simply greeting the guests with menus would have helped her. Instead he went in her well, unable to make drinks efficiently (even picked up a recipe card at one point). I had to tell him to get out of her way. I needed a glass of wine and my friend needed a beer. Something he surely could manage to do for us, and probably half the people sitting at the bar while staying out of her way at the same time..but still..why was she alone on a friday night?!!! (especially with bassment closed for a private event next door) Thankful that the manager actually seemed to receive my feedback, but i hope that's not a normal night over there. The restaurant itself was large with much space to seat patrons. For the table, I ordered the crispy quesadilla and for my meal, I ordered the short rib along with the "I Glitterally Can't" cocktail. The quesadilla was actually pretty good - enough to wet your whistle if you will. It was petite so keep in mind, only enough for 4 people to share a small piece. My short rib, however, was delicious specifically for the polenta. This was my first time having polenta and I have clearly developed a new favorite food item thanks to Hampton Social. What a super cute place for brunch in River North!! We had reservations at 1230, when we arrived we were greeted and sat right away and they were able to accommodate my request to sit by the Rosé all day sign(yay!). The entire inside was super cute, you definitely feel the hamptons vibe. I absolutely loved it. We tried to start with monkey bread but unfortunately they were sold out.
