When visiting I was so glad I found this spot , after walking around all day we wanted something to eat but didn't want American food , we found this cute place and the food was fresh and YUMMY. staff were super nice and everything was perfect for a pit stop , pleeeeease give them a chance I was so full and still had leftovers :))) will definitely make this a routine stop whenever I visit

When in Salem for Halloween and you see a restaurant that is empty, perchance follow your intuition and move on. We surely didn't. The staff appeared to be a mixture of high schoolers or adults playing high schoolers, and their energy was super chaotic and unprofessional. Once we ordered, the place filled with smoke. I contemplated stepping outside because I was choking, as I have asthma. In the corner sat a homeless dude with no purchased food, but he did have a 6 pack that he kept drinking in between naps. The tzatziki fries were disappointing as hell, dry and not worth the price. I got the falafel gyro and when I say it was 80% pickles, please heed my advice. The falafel also tasted bitter. Every single bite, and I had my husband try it in case it was me. It was as if they were made with vinegar. I could not finish it. My husband ordered the lamb and beef. To me, it was dry AF. To him, it wasn't good. The little meat it had was again, dry, and he simply couldn't find something positive to say about it. I'm honestly surprised at the ratings. Y'all need to try better gyro spots instead of hyping this one up!

Great portions, food was tasty and the lady and gentleman working Sunday night were really nice, friendly and asked us how was everything. We will be coming back for sure.

Lamb & Beef Gyro

Out of the madness that was Halloween weekend in Salem, this place wasn't that busy. Walked in and got a lamb and beef gyro. Wasn't very good. Meat was dry. Couldn't really taste the lamb. Not enough tzatziki sauce. It was pretty blah.

Fantastic food and great service! The food came out fast and they have pretty big portions. Definitely would come back l.

Chicken Gyro

I absolutely love this Gyro spot! I feel like you can't go wrong with what you choose. I've tried most of the menu, but I love the chicken Gyro. The chicken is always so tasty and the G sauce really ties everything together. Not to mention they always load the gyro up, it's massive! Definitely try the Feta fries, they load them up with so much feta! If you want a sweet treat definitely end your meal with the loukoumades. They make them fresh and they're so delicious. The customer service has always been friendly and accommodating. I'm not sure why there are so many negative reviews, because I will always come back to this place. Whenever I'm in Salem I'm stopping here first!

I ordered the Falafel Gyro. Took two bites and gave the rest to the trash bucket. I should have read some reviews first.

The food was incredibly fresh. We ordered Horiatiki Salad, Bougatsa, Tsoureki French Toast, fresh pita and tzatziki, and everything was phenomenal. One thing that really stood out was the French toast. It was topped with fresh diced fruit, a pistachio sauce, Nutella chocolate drizzle, and real maple syrup. I've honestly never had French toast like that before. It was unbelievable. The service was great, and the whole experience was excellent. I'm already looking forward to coming back so I can try more of the regular menu.

We started with the stuffed mushrooms from the specials menu. They were good, although nothing particularly over the top. For my entrée, I ordered the kalamakia and tried both the chicken and lamb. I wasn't sure how much I'd love the lamb, but WOW. It was absolutely delicious and definitely my recommendation! My daughter ordered the short ribs, and they were incredibly tender and full of flavor. Both of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals. This was our first night in town, and I honestly wouldn't be surprised if we end up coming back before we leave! The atmosphere was nice and our waitress was good!

A very popular, long-established Greek restaurant in Boston. Last time I walked in and was told…read morethere would be a two-hour wait, but this time I made a reservation and finally got to enjoy a delicious meal! Tiropita Rolls: Very straightforwardly delicious. The bread was warm, soft, and airy, with a rich aroma of butter and cheese; the spread was a rich blend of honey butter, and olives, sweet and delicious, perfect as an appetizer. Tzatziki: A slight disappointment. The cucumber and Greek yogurt spread was surprisingly heavy, a bit cloying, and the pickled kumquats weren't as sweet as I expected, but rather had a slightly bitter taste. The pita bread was thick and soft, probably better suited for dipping in soup--like Bourdeto--than for the spread. Bourdeto: The tomato fish soup was a pleasant surprise. The freshly caught grouper of the day was thick and tender, lightly seared to create a crispy crust. The broth was a vibrant, tangy tomato base, with onions, fennels, and red peppers contributing a sweet, layered flavor. Trahanas, fermented wheat and dairy, added richness and a smooth texture to the soup. The broth also had a slight spiciness, making it incredibly comforting on a chilly autumn day. Portokalopita: The dessert that elevated the entire meal. A traditional Greek orange phyllo, the cake, made from crumbs of phyllo pastry, becomes incredibly soft and moist after being soaked in orange syrup. Every bite was bursting with rich orange sweetness and fragrance, followed by a slightly bitter orange zest--perfectly balanced. Paired with Manouri cheese ice cream, the creamy flavor was incredibly rich and creamy, creating a harmonious and layered flavor profile.

We chose to sit outside; it was a chilly fall evening when we went last year, but we got some lap blankets which was a nice touch, so brownie points for service. My friend and I split the pastitsio (meat pasta dish), kotopoulo (a chicken dish), louza charcuterie, and tiropita (halloumi rolls). The rolls were stuffed with halloumi and were dense in the best way possible. Coupled with the louza charcuterie, the appetizers were a hit. The two entrees were small but mighty - they were packed with rich meats but also featured microgreens, herbs, and other tangy, bold flavors that really balanced the dishes. We got some glasses of Greek orange wine that I can't remember the name of but it paired excellently with the food per our waitress's recommendation. Overall, a solid Greek option if you're in Back Bay! But definitely make a reservation if you can.

I walked in and placed a to-go order that had some complications due to what was available and she helped me order the next best thing with what was in stock. It was busy with delivery drivers picking up and the phone ringing often with complex inquires about what was gluten free, dairy free, etc. What impressed me was this young lady handled every customer interaction, every phone in order/inquiry, every DoorDash driver, with kindness and respect while still moving at Mach 10 to help her co-worker get those orders completed and ready to go. I really regret not getting her name as her positive attitude while doing her job stood out to me and when I collected my order I asked if she was management. She said she wasn't. I said she should be. If the management reads Yelp reviews you better keep this employee happy and give her room to grow. Her attitude deserves success. Oh and my Gyro was tasty too, glad I found you all.

"How much further will my journey take me tomorrow? The new rain and chill are biting my…read moreclothes明日客程還幾許,沾衣況是新寒雨." A temperature of 13 degrees Celsius is already late autumn or even early winter for me as a Cantonese. After struggling through the biting wind and rain, the warm glow of the charcoal fire and the cozy decorations instantly warmed me, making a strong first impression. Moschari me Damaskina: The moment it entered my mouth, I couldn't help but exclaim "Wow!" Firstly, the tenderness of the beef cheek; the fibers almost melted at the very moment it touched my mouth, the fat and juices filling the space, making it incredibly easy to chew. Secondly, the dominant flavor was the tangy aroma; the fruity acidity of the prunes and red wine had a bright yet lingering fermented quality that immediately captivated my taste buds, leaving only the flavors of the beef itself and the spices. The tarhanas were sticky and chewy, with just the right amount of fermentation, complementing the beef perfectly. As a stew, it was rich and flavorful without being greasy--perfect for an autumn night! However, perhaps if the beef flavor had been a little deeper, it wouldn't have felt any overpowering. The waiter lifted the lid with a quiet cheer, and after I scooped out a portion, he gently closed the lid to keep it warm--a charming and thoughtful touch that added to the experience. Kontosouvli: A simple and straightforward roasted chicken, marinated with Greek yogurt. While not particularly surprising, the chicken was very tender and had a wonderful charcoal aroma--another excellent dish. The boneless chicken breast was even more satisfying than the drumsticks. The pickled onions had a slightly raw spiciness, making it less appealing than the one by Zaytinya at Washington DC. Samali: I touched the plate before eating; it was chilled, which added to my positive impression. The corn bread was standard, but the sweetness was slightly reduced to make way for the more prominent blueberry jam and grilled corn ice cream. The former was intensely sour, making it difficult to eat on its own. I personally think it would be better with a less acidic jam, such as orange, peach, or apricot. Despite having orange blossom syrup, it wasn't particularly outstanding. The latter, on the other hand, brought out the sweetness of the grains to the extreme, almost like eating an ice cream version of corn flakes, yet with a very light texture and melted exceptionally quickly--quite interesting. Looking back, this dessert might be more suitable for a July in New England, perhaps the best time of year, with bright but not scorching sunshine, a clear blue sky and sea, and even the wind barely perceptible. Blueberries and corn are just ripe, allowing you to quietly enjoy the land's most heartfelt gifts of the year. In the bleak autumn, perhaps the Galatopita with caramelized peaches and brown butter would be more seasonal, but seeing it on the menu made me think, why not let me just briefly return to that summer of yesterday's dreams?

A couple of friends and I were in the Coolidge Corner area and begged them to take us in for walk-ins - we'd be in and out within an hour. They kindly let us in and we started off with the saganaki, which was an ooey gooey cheese that was perfectly sweet, oily, and cheesy. This paired well with some of the bread we got with their whipped butter. Beef cheeks was the standout entree; insanely tender, melt in your mouth, and paired well with the couscous. Stifado was also delicious. The eggplant dish with a block of feta was also fun and yummy! Their cocktail game is also very fun - a couple of us got the Karpouzi 3.0 and we also got one "pump the briki" which was a fun take on an espresso martini. I can't wait for my next visit!
