CONFIRMED MID! I went here as it is the closest restaurant to me and was not thrilled by my breakfast.

Stopped in after a round of golf with the guys. Great food, plenty of beer, wings and nachos and service second to none. Will be back!

The oysters are a must, the steak is cooked perfectly, and everything is plated so thoughtfully it really feels like a full experience, not just a meal. The dinner staff has also always been attentive, friendly, and on point. That said, I recently came in for brunch and had a very different experience. I'm a huge pancake person, so I was excited to try the strawberry pancakes, but they were honestly disappointing. They were soggy, lacked any fluff, and had more of a cornbread texture than a pancake. The strawberry topping also wasn't very appetizing--it seemed like it was meant to be more of a sauce, but it didn't quite work. I completely understand that higher-end restaurants like to get creative with their dishes, but I think some basics like pancakes should still be done really well. I'll definitely be back for dinner, but I'd probably skip brunch next time.

Inside is truly unique blend of African safari, Aussie chefs complete with hats wood grilling tomahawks and tons of meat right in the middle of the restaurant. Decor is again rather unique with a mix of wood, soft furnishings, drapes, brass and stuffed exotic animals (which im sure are clever fakes) Josh at the bar was awesome, not just for me but extremely attentive and quick at delivery. Remembered drink preferences, even an unusual order i made which he delivered perfectly after serving 2 others who joined me. Everyone behind the bar kept my water topped up and the bar free of soiled napkins and empty glasses. Prices were extremely reasonable. Few drafts on tap and am extensive bar and cocktail selection. Definitely going to return back to enjoy the food, smelled wonderful.

Nestled in historic downtown Chandler, in the narrow sliver of Boston Street, the speak-easy themed cocktail bar and restaurant is located inside the former home of the Chandler Arizonan, the city's original hometown newspaper since 1912. With exposed brick walls and rich wood finishes, the historic site provides an upscale, contemporary urban and industrial-chic setting. After easily finding parking in walking distance from the entrance, we arrived shortly before midnight of the 7th. They were closing soon, but we had enough time to order a round of craftly-made cocktails and beers to down quickly. It helps when your friend knows the bartender. Enter smiley face emoji here. THE BRICKYARD DOWNTOWN is credited for the first place that I ever tried a CLOVER CLUB, a pink, frothy cocktail with fruity, citrusy, velvety qualities. I was instantly tickled pink, literally, by the nostalgic feel of the elegant concoction, topped with artfully designed egg white foam and served in a vintage-style champagne glass. What a beauty of a drink with a touch of class and sophistication! Almost made me want to throw on a flapper dress and dance the Charleston...until I realized the need to balance from the powerful punch in the serious drink. Fancy, stiff cocktails served at THE BRICKYARD DOWNTWON fo shizz. No complaints about that here! It's been a while since I visited Arizona. Maybe it's time to return. If/when I do, I will mos def drop by THE BRICKYARD DOWNTOWN again!

After working out on a Saturday morning, a group of us came to Tryst Cafe for some good eats. I ordered: - Fried Fish Tacos ($17.50 - Tempura battered cod, cabbage, pineapple, chipotle ranch): These were some solid fried fish tacos. Bright, flavorful, and very enjoyable. The pineapple added a nice freshness. - Espresso martini ($13 - Three Olives vodka, coffee liqueur, Amaretto, Irish Cream, and a shot of Espresso): Not the most exciting espresso martini or the strongest but one that hits the right notes. I also totally stole a good portion of my friend's garlic parmesan fries. They tasted a little greasy but they had such a nice crunchy coating that it didn't matter. They offer Gluten-free, vegan, and vegetarian dishes so there should be something for everybody.

We came out for the taco deal and wow, was it worth every penny. Just look at that picture. I wish it came with guac like their instagram posts but that must be extra, I forgot to ask. The steak was the perfect portion for two. Cooked to perfection, and the sides were tasty. The vibe was a bit loud but that was mostly because the scottsdale bros behind us. I purposely waited a year after it opened to see more of these genuine reviews flow in and it continued to be positive. I also loved the fact that it is seed oil free. Based on all of that, I was a bit disappointed with the entrees. Their appetizers were my favorite part. The meatball is pretty great and the biscuits is actually the best I've ever had. But that's all I liked. The ravioli had a huge peice of fat in one of them that it was so hard, like a peice of bone with fat. I did mention this to the waitress who was willing to replace the dish but I declined since I didn't want to wait that long for another meal. However, I was disappointed to see they didn't at least discount that meal. Also, the vinegar was a bit overpowering that it made the meal a little cheap tasting in my opinion. My date had the Branzino and personally, it was pretty basic. That turned me off enough to not really want to come back which is such a shame since there aren't many seed oil free restaurants. Don't trust a lot of the reviews. It's all "hype".

It had been quite some time since I had last been, and my most recent visit didn't disappoint. Every time I've ever been here, it's always been busy during the dinner rush, but service has always remained quick and attentive. It certainly isn't what I would call a "fine dining" experience, but it's upscale enough and has good enough food to feel like a meaningful night out with family, friends, or your partner. For an appetizer, we enjoyed their bread and butter, which was fantastic. The bread also came with olive oil and seasonings to dip it in, which was also very tasty. For dinner, I enjoyed their grilled cod with French and sweet potato fries, as well as coleslaw. While the fish was slightly overcooked, the meal overall was still delicious, filling , and well worth the trip back to High Tide. Definitely swing in if you've never been!
