We walked pretty far to get to this cafe because my daughter wanted pancakes and other places were getting close to serving lunch. I'm not a breakfast food gal so I was hoping they'd have lunch options. This place had pancakes for my daughter - which she said were "the best in the world" AND a bunch of sandwiches, wraps, salads, and other entrees. YAY. I had a turkey club wrap and the greatest cup of coffee of my life. Our server was a peach - running her little buns off but never slacking on service. We sat outside where, halfway through our meal we were visited by a little bee. She seemed interested in the maple syrup and soon, three of her friends appeared. I am allergic to bees so we had to pack up and leave. Our server was super busy but cheerfully (and quickly) grabbed our check and some takeout boxes so we could leave ASAP. I get it... we were sitting outside with a little pot of liquid sugar. If I was a bee, I would have joined us too! I was grateful for the quick service and our waitress' understanding. She was really busy but she managed to keep all of her balls in the air AND get us safely on our way. The portions are plentiful and the prices are very fair. This was our annual mother/daughter camping trip and we chose Ogunquit. We'd never been to The Greenery Cafe before but the next time we visit, we will definitely return! read more

Place is very busy but it's big so you get seated rather quickly. Lots of breakfast choices. The food was average and would have given 3 stars but bumped to 4 due to the excellent service. Our waitress was busy and still attentive and friendly. Could not ask for better service. The corned beef hash was just ok, not even sure if homemade. This is the kind of place that you drive by on a random morning and see the parking lot overflowing, telling you there's something very special within. We really enjoyed our late breakfast at the Greenery and will absolutely return when we are back in Ogunquit. The orange juice is fresh squeezed and DELICIOUS- as is the orange cream soda and the fizzy lime drink. Visited this quaint little breakfast spot while on vacation with my boyfriend. I would recommend getting there early, because a line starts forming very quickly on the weekends. Thankfully we were here before it got too crowded, So we were seated right away. Our waitress was friendly, and very efficient about getting our orders in very quickly. We had the breakfast burrito which was HUGE! We were both able to be sufficiently filled up on the amount of food that was served on just THAT burrito...But because we were on vacation, we also HAD to try the sourdough toast...YUMMMM!! Went during the weekday and thought it wasn't too crowded until we got seated. We were seated in this awkward table in the middle of the waitress station, the bathrooms, and the middle of the walkway. My tiny purse couldn't even be placed on the back of the chair because "someone could trip" over it another waitress said. Not sure why they even have a table where we were seated but whatever. Waitress was friendly. Took about 40 minutes for us to finally get our food. Although big the pancakes were meh, nothing to go crazy over, along with the eggs. Crab Saratoga was really good! This place in banging! I had the huevos rancheros (always a risk at a non Mexican restaurant) and my date had the lobster avocado melt. Both were superb. The drinks were also really good and fresh, I order a mimosa with orange juice on the side and got a mini bottle which was also ideal. Went to one of my favorite places today. The Greenery Cafe, run by Lisa and Amy, two incredibly talented women. The food...how do I describe the food? Delicious? Outstanding? Wow we wow! I had French onion soup that was the best I've had in years! Deep, delicious broth with an abundance of glistening onions and spices, topped with a huge crouton covered in bubbly gryere cheese. Did I saw wonderful? Then I had 1/2 of a meatloaf sandwich on homemade grilled bread. Good as mom used to make , if your mom made killer meatloaf! Warm, delicious, tender , everything good. My sister and mom had the grilled chicken wrap...also delicious. Their sandwiches, are HUGE! More than generous portions. Sides are all handmade. Breads, pastries, all hand made. I have been coming to Ogunquit for years and this is my breakfast stop. The food is delicious and service is spot on. There open at 7 AM And they seem to be extremely busy until close. My fave is Crab Saratoga , fluffy scrambled eggs mixed with cream cheese, scallion and Jonás crabmeat topped with an egg over easy . This is not to be missed if you like crabmeat. The blueberry pancakes are the freshest I've eaten in town. Throughout the years, I have eaten and enjoyed many of the meals for breakfast and lunch. The coffee is always hot and strong but if your feeling like a mimosa, the pomegranate is spot on. Inside, they have a bakery which you can eat there or order a box to go. No matter what you choose, you won't be disappointed. Depending on the weather, you can choose to sit inside or out ! Whatever you choose, there is no bad seat in the house. Enjoy! Was good, but couldn't eat English muffin so just had veggies. Option was to buy a fruit "cup" instead of potatoes. Do to me a "cup" I'd the size of maybe a half "cup"? Well, it was the size of a salad dressing "cup", maybe 2 Tablespoons for and extra $3.50. Sad, but will look for another place to eat. Considering all the other reviews, I'm surprised we had such a medium experience. For some reason we were seated in the back, in what equates to an employee break room. While we waited for our food (and for a coffee refill that never came) we heard an awkward amount of conversation about the fairness of shifts, split of tables, and how annoying it is when customers make eye contact with waitresses who aren't serving their table. After hearing that we weren't going to flag any of them down with help for a coffee refill, so no more came. My pancakes were okay but the other person I was with had slightly runny middles in theirs. The bacon was good. We didn't try the baked goods out front, but they did look tasty. I wish I had better things to write because I was excited to give this place a try. read more

I'd give this place 5 stars all day. My wife and I love this spot! However, due to our most recent visit, I needed to write a review in hopes a change will be made. Hence 3 stars to get some attention. We were recently taken back this past Sunday (6/23 to be exact) by how rude the hostess was. We've never been treated so poorly. Very rude and negative attitude. Very unfortunate as the staff has always been super nice and very attentive. I truly hope they resolve the issue with the hostess. We have been going here for years but today was a huge disappointment. Generally I would recommend this place up and down but not anymore. I could sum up our dissatisfaction with 2 things, the service was terrible and the food was just ok. The waitress is too quick to leave and getting details of order incorrect and forgetting our water request. She also NEVER checked on our satisfaction with everything and if we had any needs. Without a question of a doubt the best service and best breakfast I have had. I had the Montecristo which was cooked to perfection and my husband had goat cheese omelette.
