Glory Days Grill…read more Stopped into Glory Days in Edgewater and everything hit exactly the way you want it to. Food came out fast, hot, and loaded up the nachos were stacked heavy, not skimpy, with real toppings and good melt on the cheese. The ribs were glazed perfectly, tender, and messy in the best way. Crispy onion straws on the side, solid portions, and nothing felt rushed or thrown together. You could tell the kitchen was locked in. Drinks were cold, poured right, and never empty. But the real reason this place gets 5 stars is Georgia. She handled service, bartending, and the whole flow like a pro. Friendly, attentive, fast, and kept the energy right the entire time. You can tell when someone actually knows their craft and she absolutely does. Great food. Great service. Great vibe. Easy 5 stars. I'll definitely be back. West End Grill, Naptown -- Unforgiven Edition…read more It's a hell of a thing, killing a plate of green beans. West End happy hour. Adam behind the bar slinging John Dalys for $6.75 like Little Bill forgot to outlaw liquor in Big Whiskey. Then dinner rode into town. Chicken Cordon Bleu: 4.5/5. Moist as hell, ham and cheese doing exactly what God and France intended. Only crime? Needed more sauce. Not enough to hang the cook, but enough to knock half a star off the bounty. Then came the risotto. I believe it was forged somewhere beneath the earth's crust. One million degrees. Molten fucking steel. I tried to approach it. It threatened my family. No rating. By the time that thing reaches an edible temperature, Clint Eastwood will be smiling in a movie. But those slow-cooked green beans? Jesus. Sweet onions, what tasted like some ham-hock sorcery, cooked down until everything knew everybody else's name. I hit them with a dash of Tabasco and suddenly we weren't eating a side anymore. We were settling a score. Top-five green beans I've ever eaten. And understand something: I come from the South. Green beans aren't vegetables down there. They're a competitive sport. I ordered a second damn bowl. Adam kept the John Dalys coming, the happy-hour price stayed ridiculous, and when I asked his favorite movie? Unforgiven. Well, Adam... "Deserve's got nothing to do with it." Except tonight it does. Those green beans deserve five stars, a second order, and their own goddamn horse. Fork around and find out, Naptown.

The wings are crispy and medium sized... not small and boney but also not ridiculously big. Cooked perfect. I do wish they tossed them in sauce instead of pouring it on top, but at least they are generous with the sauce. Wing prices are great! $7.50 for 6 and $13.25 for 12. Always daily specials with things like fish sandwiches and such. I tried the gyro last time I was in and it was a lot of food and very good. Some nights there is a security guard in there who seems to be checking IDs and I guess handling any situations. I've never seen it needed in there, but I'm sure he's there for a reason and it's nice they invest in him so it does not fall on the bartenders. They have a video juke box to keep things lively on nights there isn't a band. Mens room is predictably awful for a dive bar and smells like piss. When we can get down…read morehere from the Columbia MD area, we love to dine and drink and enjoy the 4-days-per-week live music at this "Coffeehouse Winebar and Gallery". This time, in April 2025, we arrived around 7pm, and found parking in a garage about a block away, though with better timing we might have parked right out front on West St. This was intentionally a little early for their 8pm live show, and we found a table in the front window, with fun people-watching, and walls lined with a gallery of local artists' works. One of the regulars suggested their generous creative 49 West Salad of fresh greens, cucumbers, tomato, and red onion, with blueberries, apples, almonds, and gorgonzola cheese! An exciting flavor experience! They also, steered us right on 49's Reuben sandwich, with traditional house-made tender juicy corned-beef and melted swiss, with house-made Russian sauce on soft marble rye, with the sauerkraut substituted at my request by house-made creamy cole-slaw. A rich delicious messy sandwich! And well-made drinks: a refreshing lemony minty fizzy Mizuwari with Baraky Japanese whiskey, and their Old Fashion 49 which includes some orange-y Grand Marnier. Both were creative strong and flavorsome takes on classics. Of course they also have a broad ranging menu, especially after 5pm. When the back room opened, we sipped our drinks (and got refills :-) while swaying to one of our favorite musicians, Tom Mitchell, playing this evening with Jim Stephanson as the talented and versatile Blue Rhythm Boys: Jazz, Western Swing, Blues and more, for a $15 cover. It was fun to hear them riff off classics and off of each other, mixing in stories and reminiscences, and this evening sweetly dedicating some to a friend's 75th (more or less) birthday. You just feel at home with them, and we do seek out Tom's performances, and then seek out his fellow musicians next gigs, too, as far off as Columbia and Rockville! A wonderful relaxing evening, with friendly efficient staff, good food, nice locals, and great music.

The food came out hot, fresh, and well‑seasoned, and the bar selection was impressive with plenty of options for every taste. What truly set the night apart was our bartender, Dustin. His professionalism and energy elevated the entire experience. Dustin was attentive without ever being overbearing, quick to offer recommendations, and clearly knowledgeable about the menu and the bar. Every drink he made was spot‑on, and he checked in regularly to make sure everything was perfect. You can tell he takes pride in his work and genuinely cares about the guests' experience. It's rare to find a bartender who combines skill, personality, and efficiency so seamlessly. Dustin is a standout, and Acme Bar & Grill is lucky to have him. Because of his excellent service, this spot has definitely become a go‑to recommendation for anyone visiting Annapolis. Highly recommend both the restaurant and Dustin behind the bar.

First, although I'm a member of the rewards program (I LOVE TGIF!), our waiter told us that we couldn't get the free chips and salsa that reward members get. He said this despite the table tent stating otherwise. While our waiter was nice, he was utterly clueless about the menu. We had to explain to him the specials they had that weekend. Mistakes happen, but he wasn't even aware that the restaurant was running a special. Sadly, the worst part was the food. Tasteless green bean fries, potato skins that were just slices of potato(!?), and a brownie too sweet to be edible. TGI Fridays, how are you okay with this level of service?
