Unfortunately, the only friendly interaction I had was with the manager. I wouldn't mention it if it were only one bartender or seating host who had a bad attitude; HOWEVER, every single person was rude?? The seating host rushed our group to sit down, which was weird. For drinks I got the Janissary Corps & the Lebanese No. 1. For food we got the Hummus bi Tahina, Fried Halloumi, & the Labneh with Garlic. One of the best cocktails I've had in the district is the Janissary Corps. It was very smooth and frothy but also so strong. Yum. The pita chips were fresh and hot but I wish I could say the same about the Halloumi. The flavor was there but it was chewy and difficult to cut into. I would have liked it to be warmer and softer. We had faloodeh swizzling (good, you definitely taste the cardamom, fyi), the Lebanese no. 1 (well balanced and citrus forward), and the old fashioned. We then sprung for full priced drinks. Cameat night when it was raging upstairs. Honestly wish I went to a quieter part of the bar, but history cannot be rewritten. The drinks are excellent. They are really tasty, and that's a huge plus for a place that seems more of a party spot now. I really enjoyed the Mint Lemonade, and their twist on an Espresso Martini. Was so excited to finally try the Green Zone after hearing such rave reviews! Popped in for cocktails after dinner. The ambiance is so lively and bustling! There is a great selection of Middle Eastern inspired art throughout the two levels of the bar - all very nice to take in as you explore. We sat on the 2nd floor and were instantly served by the enthusiastic staff. The waiter was very helpful and recommended us the signature Mint Lemonade and the TGZ Vodka Soda. The TGZ was one of the BEST drinks I have ever had! As a lover of fruity/slightly sweet drinks, this was the perfection combination of pineapple foam, a fruity base, and quality vodka. The Mint Lemonade was also incredibly refreshing and had stunning green color! Very well-blended with a slight herbal taste that paired perfectly with the lemonade base. I finally visited the Green Zone after hearing so much about it. My friends and I went for happy hour and first of all it's so packed both upstairs and downstairs, there was barely any room to stand and finding a seat was impossible. Definitely get there earlier if you're planning to sit. The happy hour isn't anything special, $2 off cocktails that are overpriced to begin with. My mint lemonade was ok, it was icy instead of smooth which is not my favorite but the taste was very refreshing and light. We did not eat anything, but I have heard that the apps are good. Overall, Green Zone is a cool spot but not the best value for me personally so I doubt I'll be back. I will say though, that it was very cool to see their collection of spirits from all over the world. I've never been to a bar with Guyanese rum on display. read more

Fun!!!! For a night out with some friends, the upstairs bar is a vibe. You HAVE to order the frozen mint lemonade. It's so tasty and sneaks up on you in the best way... it's hand made each time and topped with mint. Although it was a chilly October night, this was clearly a staple as majority of the bar was also drinking this cocktail. It was super busy when we came, but we were able to snag a spot upstairs. The cocktails were very tasty and I really enjoyed trying arak for the first time (I love anise-flavored drinks). We also tried the labneh, boureg, and the shawarma sandwich and they were all delicious; the labneh was a nice compliment to the cocktails and the shawarma was super flavorful and very tasty. Service was very good despite it being so busy and they did a good job of keeping up with everyone. Good drinks, food was meh. standard bar fare with a middle eastern twist. I got the carrots and boureg and didn't take pics because they weren't particularly remarkable. carrots had a lemony spiced marinade which would have been easy enough to recreate at home. Boureg were good, nice and crunchy but would have liked more or bigger ones for the pice. I get that it's upscale but the price should come closer to reflecting the quality of the bar snacks. Bartender deserves 5 stars. Did a great job refilling my water and garnishing the drinks. They looked and tasted wonderful. The mint lemonade is must try. If you want a second drink, the rest of the menu is pretty solid as well so order something that you would like. I got the jun blossom and it had a grape-y taste with elements of orange. Any weekend and even some weeknights you will find a line out the door so I'm not sure if they need my review, but I'll chime in! Right off the bat, I love how they are upfront about being political as a Middle Eastern cocktail bar. The Mint Lemonade is truly legendary as they describe and you can pick to have it with either gin or voda. On hot days definitely try it frozen. They also switch up their seasonal menu. Bites - za'tar pita chips, labneh with garlic are a few staples that pair well with your drinks. Shawarma is good too! Definitely recommend reservations if you can swing it. They have two levels, both levels having a bar, and they have live music upstairs on Friday and Saturday nights. You can make a reservation 5-8:30pm most days and brunch on weekends. I love how unique this place is. Since it's Middle Eastern, they stick with those flavors and that theme for their decor and even music. I love their Mint Lemonade (virgin or hard). It's a refreshing slush and EVERYONE gets it here. The first floor was packed deep but the second floor had a couple of seats at the bar and against the walls. Drank cocktail after cocktail - all delicious, and yes, get the popular mint lemonade. Excellent service, even as the bar got even more crowded. Very unique and interesting drinks! My friend found this spot and said we should check it out, so we went on a Friday night. I got there just before 6 and spoke to the bouncer who told me that the outside area can be reserved but inside was first come first serve. We did not have a reservation so I went inside to see if there were any seats available. There are two levels with a bar and some high tops as well as some seats along the back near the stairs. I was able to snag some stools. Ordering is very much like any bar, there's no table service and you just go up to the bartender to place both food and drink orders. Considering how crowded it was, the bartender was quick to take my order and get our drinks. The Green Zone is known for the mint lemonade which is basically a frozen mojito but with lemon instead of lime and it's divine, perfect for a summer day. I also got the toufan which is fruity and refreshing. My friend got the janissary, which she really enjoyed, and the jun blossom, which was a little to strong and sweet for her taste. We also got the hummus and labneh to share, both were delicious. A few notes: -it is a bar so seats are limited and it can get pretty loud. We happened to be there on St Patrick's Day and it was starting to get rowdy when we left. -there's a 20% service fee, which I think is a little steep for drinks and the appetizers we ordered read more

Very cool place! It's an unapologetically political middle eastern bar and I love it. I came here to meet some friends during the week for a drink and bite to eat and then I came the following weekend to celebrate a friend's birthday. Both outings were great! During the week, it was a little crowded in the downstairs space but we were able to grab a table. The service was lovely and our server gave her drink recommendations because the menu has so many options.
