We were really looking forward to going to the restaurant. The atmosphere was awesome the drinks were great and the cauliflower is to die for. We proceeded to order our food and found out that we could not order our hamburgers to our liking. This of course led to our hamburgers being completely dry and ultimately well well well done.I probably would recommend this place like if you're going to go for appetizers and beer but I would not recommend them for a sit down meal. read more

I travels to Murfreesboro often for work, and I always make a bee line for The Goat. The atmosphere is fun and the decor is trendy! I love their menu which consists of upscale "bar food" that is always on point. It is located in a residential area with condos. It can be tricky to find especially at night and parking can be limited. On the weekends, during the holidays, and summer the wait can be long but it is totally worth it. They offer lots of local beers and pride themselves in their unique offerings. You can't go wrong with The Goat! read more

This was my first time dining at the GOAT Murfreesboro. There was about a 30 minute wait, but in this case; good things come to those who wait. We waited by a beautiful gas fire pit in a very peaceful Murfreesboro neighborhood. After being see our waitress was very knowledgeable of the menu, very polite, and extremely helpful when I wasn't sure what to order. I I finally decided on jam & Brie burger... Been here a few times over the last year and they have excellent service and pretty good drink selection. It's a great atmosphere with an open air bar on one side, pool table, and some arcade games. Food is a little pricey but it's good quality. Highly recommend the tots. They do follow covid guidelines and take care to keep people spaced out and the servers wear masks. read more

Go anywhere else! I went here about a year ago and it was a great place. Now it has gone seriously downhill. I visited for brunch with my mother and family for Mother's Day. We ordered breakfast that came with "Brioche" bread. To our dismay our meals came out with the cheapest white bread loaf slices. Over toasted. No butter, no jam, no nothing. We asked for jam, they said they didn't have it. We asked for butter, they replied saying they only had liquid butter. We asked for Splenda/Equal or any sugar substitute, and they didn't have any. My niece ordered the custom personal pizza, it was a frozen Tostitos pizza, right out of the box. The manager even confirmed that it was in fact frozen pizza. Do NOT go here. The service is awful and the food is even worse. A drivethru breakfast would have been better. When we asked our waiter for the manager's name, she said she wasn't allowed to tell us his last name... We've lived here in Murfreesboro for over a year and a half and surprisingly had never been to the Goat until last Thursday. The food was excellent!!! Went there to have a nice birthday dinner with my daughter-in-law and son, extra long time to receive our food when one of our meals which was a large pizza came. The crust was mostly uncooked and very gummy. Horrible!! took one bite, spit it out, the waitress who was wonderful understanding and courteous completely agreed and said they were having problems with their pizzas. Well they shouldn't be serving their pizzas if they're having that kind of problem with them, they literally had to throw that away so they offered to comp the pizza. Well ha! of course you're gonna comp the pizza and more!! only one bite is taken from it and thus ruining the rest of our evening plans as I didn't wanna wait another half hour for another meal, and who knows what would've been wrong with it. My wife and I have been going to the goat since it first opened and always love it. There is usually a wait but when it's just the 2 of us we can get seated quickly. The food is so good and the service is usually very attentive even on busier nights. The black walnut old fashioned is on point. The pizza roll is always good and the carnitas tacos for me are the perfect bite of sweet, salt, and acid. Literally almost everything we've had we love. My only complaint, and this just happened for the first time last night, we usually don't go when there is live music but met some friends and just got seated as the music was starting. It was sooooo loud we were yelling at our table in the middle of the restaurant and still it was hard to hear each other. When I asked if it was possible to turn it down just a little the manager just flat out refused. A little let down. read more

Great hidden bar! They have a pool table and shuffleboard so a nice area to be active. There is long bar or tables depending on your preference. My favorite part is the fire pit! They play a variety of music or sometimes they even have live music! They also have tons of tvs if there is a big game on! read more

Good spot in a rather unique location. We visited late in the evening around 10pm after flying in from SF and we're basically the only table. Bartender was great and extremely attentive. I've been to the Goat three times (different states) but this was the first in Murfreesboro. It is almost exactly the same - down to the same types of townhome apartments and sand volleyball court. This was the first time I brought personal (not work) friends with me and in the end the verdict is that we probably wont come back. ROASTED PEPPER & GOAT CHEESE pizza (minus the chicken). I found that where there were toppings it was ok. But for the most part, I found it incredibly dry, thick and hard. I'm not sure what the crust is, but it isn't pizza crust. It was thicker than crackers but dry and hard. I used all kinds of extra dressing to try to make it better but it wasn't good. THE GOAT burger was very small and not that flavorful. Cut in half it looked like two sliders. Two small sliders. Not recommended. GOAT WINGS were ok. We got them dry and dipped into hot garlic, hot, jerk, mango habanero sauces (note that it is $0.75 per sauce) and found that the best - by far - was the hot garlic sauce. CHICKEN GYRO was ok, but mostly empty. For the price, I expected this to be overflowing with contents in the naan bread. But it was less than half full. BUFFALO CAULIFLOWER was **THE BEST THING HERE** and in fact this is what I had at previous visits out of state that made me want to come here. It is awesome! The hot garlic sauce is perfect and I highly recommend this. In fact, if we go here again, it will be to buy this and take it to go. TOTS were tasty. I love potatoes so it's hard to get this wrong. The beer cheese sauce is not my favorite. I've had these before and liked it every visit. But if you only get one appetizer, get the buffalo cauliflower. The only non-standard drink I got was a CHOCOLATE MOCHA STOUT, which was very good. It was in a bottle and served in a cup if you wanted it. Recommended for stout lovers. My total with tip and tax for four meals, two appetizers, one paid drink (iced tea) and one beer was $117. (Each meal was $12-15, appetizers less than $10.) I don't mind paying that much, but when I do I expect it to be excellent, not mediocre. I expect the food to be filling as well, but this didn't happen here in my experience. Service was good. The people were nice. It just wasn't good food, in my opinion. And not worth the price. read more

This place is alright. The atmosphere is pretty fun, there is live music, and the restaurant was nestled right around some nice apartments. There is a nice patio that looks to the apartment's pool, along with fire pits and sand volley ball courts. The waiter was really nice, but service was a little slow, and I had to wait for my fish tacos while the others were eating (everyone was about halfway through their meals before I got my food). The food was also a little over priced for what we got. It was decent-tasting, don't get me wrong, but my tiny 3 tacos was not worth 11 dollars. How we, they did have a military discount, so it leveled out for the slightly overpriced food. They seem to have a decent happy hour and late night menu. Tried this restaurant because we were attending a cinference near by. It is classic hipster American food. The employees were quite young and weren't really able to privide menu recommendations. We tried the soft pretzels for an appetizer and they were pretty good, served with mustard and beer cheese. I tried the seasonal beet salad with chicken. The service & food is a little below average and I count on it not been backed. They have plenty of TV for the games and live band on the weekend.
