I have had the pleasure of trying any food here but I've had many whiskey cocktails (which range from 90HKD to 200HKD) and late night conversations instead. Surely that accounts for something. I wouldn't hold my breath on coming back here for a capper or two. There are better venues in TST for sure, but I'm all for giving the little guys a shot. They seemed more interested in photos and video to look like they were having fun but that didn't stop us from turning up and lighting the place on fire. I would say that the interior (and cute exterior) is very typical to what you'd see in the hip, trendy LA Asian American cafés - pretty quotes on the wall, cute decorations, dim lighting. This is definitely a good date place - and you can roam the mall after! I came with my family during their afternoon teatime, thinking that there would be some specials offered around 2 PM. I think they had a lunchtime special, so even at 2 PM, the restaurant was packed with customers and guests waiting for a seat. After you're seated at a table, you have to go to the front counter to order your food. You're given a number, and when the food is ready the waiter/waitress will serve the food to your table. Since it's Hong Kong and you can split dishes without anybody really caring, we decided to order fewer items to be shared amongst ourselves and eat elsewhere if we were still hungry. Porcini rice with pork and kimchi in stone pot: $46 HKD and with an additional $12 HKD, we were able to add on a puff pastry soup. I have to say that the rice was really good. Very similar to the Chinese sausage in a stone pot, except this rice had flavoring and ingredients to it. Along with the pork belly and kimchi - flavoring of everything was on point, and it definitely filled us up. Cream of mushroom puff pastry soup: When the waitress brought our soup to us, one of them was slightly burnt, and without us even commenting, she said that she was going to ask the chef to remake a new one for us. I don't think we would have really minded, but that was really nice of her. The soup is definitely something you must try! Rich flavoring of mushroom in a creamy broth. The puff pastry was light and flaky, with really good flavor. As you break into the puff pastry, some of it drops into the soup so you get a crispy texture as you drink the creamy soup. I really liked it. Spaghetti Bolognese with puff pastry soup: This set lunch combination was $56 HKD or roughly $8 USD. I thought it was fairly priced, since it came with the puff pastry soup. The spaghetti wasn't too unique. Tasted very similar to how my mom cooks her spaghetti, except it was slightly sweeter. I probably wouldn't recommend ordering this dish if you're looking for something unique or different to try. Hot tea and hot milk tea - nothing special. The hot milk tea was pretty strong, but not as smooth as some of the other places I've tried. tl;dr - Overall, a really cute place to go for lunch or brunch. They also serve waffles and breakfast items. I really like the interior design of the place. The workers are super nice and friendly. Highly recommend if you're looking for a nice place for brunch!

This is when people decide they want to dance on the bar and I guess it's accepted by the bartenders/owners/whatnot. Beware - guys start stripping off their shirts, girls try to jump onto the bars with heels (many failing and falling to their near deaths), and popping American styled music loud in the air. Like other reviewers have mentioned, be wary of your belongings here. Located in the Wan Chai district, it is filled with more locals and not quite as "safe" as the touristy clubbing district Lan Kwai Fong. Being super packed, your cell phone/wallet can be easily stolen. Overall I had a fun night but didn't quite love the atmosphere as much as I did at the Lan Kwai Fong district - which reminded me of a better Vegas ;)

The truth is, champagne bar is a bit misleading. You'll get a wide range of the usual drinks. Full pint of Asahi for $45 at happy hour till 8pm, which is a steal on Elgin Street. They almost all kinds of liquors at happy hour price too. Granted, you'd still want to get some sparkling here too. Go for the parma ham set that comes with two glasses of rosé? Oh yes, they serve food too! That's right. Doesn't seem like they have a kitchen here, but they bring over the pizza and other hot dishes from the restaurant next to it. One minor miss - the air-con. We were sitting not at the "outdoor balcony" but the table closest to the store front. Excuse us for being spoiled kids enjoying 24c air-con everywhere since we were born, but the air-con was really weak on a summer day like the night we visited. Champagne would have been much more enjoyable in a more pleasant temperature.

They also have a small selection of bar snacks and small plates, the margarita pizza is particularly good. For me, Flutes has always been a "let's meet here before dinner" bar. Right at one end of Elgin Street, it is very easy to find, and has an open frontage onto the street, so you can sit at the front and watch the world go by whilst waiting for your hot date. The front seats are bar stools and high tables, which make a great elevated viewing spot to people watch, but I personally find these seats get uncomfortable over an evening, especially if the AC doesn't quite reach you. I prefer to sit further in the back where there are low seats and tables, but these are unfortunately near the toilet. Drinks are standard Soho price, around HKD80-90 for a regular mixer. Beware that the happy hour only extends to certain drinks. The service is a little slow, even when the bar is empty. It has been much better in the past, so I may have just hit it on a bad day. Otherwise the staff are very friendly. I personally come here a lot, but mainly for fancy drinks, celebrations, or to treat Mrs L. I probably wouldn't meet the lads here for a pint, unless of course it was a pint of Janisson.
