The Ritz-Carlton is part of the building that forms the tallest building in Hong Kong. The view is certainly amazing. It actually gave me a new perspective of HK, as someone who's lived here before, with all the shipping and ferry transport action that I saw. I wasn't hungry at all, so I simply went with a cheese platter and a milk tea with boba. It was okay, there was a wide selection variety of cheese, and the milk tea taste was strong. Not the best I've had, but you're paying more for the view here than the food. Service was good here. As long as you get a window seat, you'll get your value out of coming here. I probably wouldn't do it if I wasn't able to get a window seat. read more

Located on the 102 floor inside the Ritz Carlton hotel, this place is grand, beautiful, and has some delicious afternoon tea. When you come here, try to get a window seat, the view is amazing on a clear day. Three of us all got the afternoon tea, which had an assortment of savory and sweet treats. I have only had two other afternoon tea experiences (once in Seattle and once in London), and I think here is the best. For close to HK$400 per person (about $50 USD), they give you some delicate stuff like foie gras pate and some fish roe on mini sandwich. All the sweet treats were light and not overly sweet, and my favorite was the nutella thingie that i don't know what it's called but it was amazing! Service here was impeccable and they were very considerate since we've got our baby niece with us. Definitely try to come here if you are in HK. read more

Set in the Ritz Carlton, it's the tallest building in Hong Kong. The Ritz is next to the MTR and is currently undergoing some minor construction. We got turned around quite a bit due to the construction but eventually made it to the Lounge & Bar for our afternoon tea. Reservations were required to participate in the afternoon tea. There was a couple ahead of us in line and were turned away because they didn't have one. Reservations can be made online. Once we got checked in, we were shown to our table and given a menu. After ordering our afternoon tea set, we observed the decor of the lounge. There were lots of reflective decorations along with a wall of wine. There were also indoor fireplaces. And if you're lucky, you can score a table right by the windows for an awesome view of the Hong Kong harbor. The afternoon tea set was a Teddy Bear theme for Christmas. It contains a few savory treats and lots of sweets. Overall, it was a nice experience to have. And although we were not able to get a window table, you can always get a decent look of the harbor if you visit the restrooms. read more

After being super disappointed that Sky100 was closed for a formal event on the day we were in Hong Kong, we frantically tried to find a plan B that is close by and also offers a fantastic view of HK. They recommended us to visit the Ritz bar for a good view. Locating The Lounge & Bar inside the Ritz Carlton hotel (conveniently located right next to Sky100) was a luxurious adventure on its own. The Ritz HK is a beautiful and luxurious establishment much like all of the rest in the world, but the view of the iconic HK skyline and the Victoria Harbor from over 100 floors up really sets this place apart from all other locations in the US. Still being full from the delicious scramble eggs and steamed milk from the infamous Australia Dairy Company, we opted to only snack on tea and desserts at the lounge and enjoy the beautiful views of HK. I ordered a scented tea named Paris and Singapore, while my friends ordered the coconut and mango ice cream and the chocolate cake. Each of our orders ranged from $100 - $120 HKD (around ~$12 - $15 each). I'm not particularly cultured in tea, but I thought my tea was just okay. My friends' desserts were beautifully presented, especially the ice cream! The coconut ice cream was served in a real coconut with shavings of coconut meat inside, topped with sweet mangoes. He really liked it! My friend's chocolate cake was super rich and decadent, maybe a bit too heavy for my liking. It was still tasty! While the desserts were tasty and the view was fantastic, the customer service was shockingly subpar considering I had the most amazing customer service experience just at the Ritz in Orlando. Our waitress was not attentive and was actually a bit rude. They also didn't allow us to sit by the windows because we were simply just "having a drink" and they are reserved for people who are eating food despite the place being quite empty. Maybe we were just not dressed like rich people or in formal wear. I was expecting impeccable service at a 5 star hotel lounge even if we are dressed in casual. The attitude quickly changed when we were paying at the end and another waitress was a lot nicer to us. Overall, the lounge is still a beautiful place to have an afternoon tea, enjoy the iconic views, and simply relax. It's pricey, but hey it's the Ritz. So happy that although we didn't get to visit Sky100, we still got a good view at the end for around the same price as our tickets! I would gladly go back again. They need to work on the customer service attitude though. read more

The Ritz Carlton is the tallest building in Hong Kong and it offers one of the best views. It is on the Kowloon side, so I would have loved to spend an evening there for the 8pm evening light show. I would venture to say that if you cannot make it to Victoria Peak for the views, then this is an absolutely wonderful alternative. We came here for the first seating of Afternoon Tea on a Saturday. When we arrived, it was brought to our attention that the reservation was actually for Sunday. Jet lag had my mind playing tricks on me. They were kind enough to still accommodate us, and at the table requested in our reservation. Thanks Ritz Carlton! Jazz was our server and she was wonderful. She mentioned that she was interning there from the Philippines. Kudos to Jazz for her generosity and kind spirit. We started off with the weekend in Hong Kong, which was a wonderful green tea. It is their most popular tea, and, it is absolutely fantastic! I also had the Eternal Summer, a South African Red Tea. It was comparable to teas that were gifted to me in Cape Town, South Africa; also, a very good rendition from TWG in Singapore. My sister and I enjoyed the Afternoon Tea for Two at HK $682 (approximately US $87) plus an additional 10% service charge. While I did enjoy the stunning views, service, and the tea itself, there were some cons. First, I have enjoyed afternoon tea all around the world. In those instances, I have always been able to enjoy multiple pots of tea. I have also been able to try different teas and/or coffees during the afternoon tea service. Here, we were told that only one pot of tea is included in the price, you are not offered more of the tea you purchased (to include just hot water - isn't water free anyways?) We could not finish a pot of tea and then try a different assortment. That was not good. Also, I was not impressed with the desserts. Two of them were too tough to cut, let alone chew. The scones, jam and potted cream were good, but standard. I enjoyed the foie gras, my sister did not. Overall, I would say that the presentation of the food was wonderful. The food was just ok. One thing I must proclaim is that they were overly generous during our visit. At the end of the tea service, I inquired about purchasing the Eternal Summer Tea. I would venture to say that the teas are not offered for sale because I observed the staff scrambling about for an answer. Finally, our server Jazz came back to our table with an answer - the tea was HK $93, or approximately US $12. No problem I thought. Moments later, Jazz came back to our table with a nicely gifted Ritz Carlton bag with 8 bags of Eternal Summer tea inside. Lovely. In closing out our bill we noted there was no charge for the tea. Wow! Both the manager and Jazz came by with business cards and asked that I review them on Trip Advisor. This, because they were interested in learning more about their service and how to improve. Writing an honest review was the least I could do for such a kind gesture. I would recommend the Ritz Carlton Lounge 100% for the views and ambiance. However, I would recommend going for drinks and perhaps a light lunch. There are Christmas themed tea set for Christmas however, the tea sets gives only 3 savory items and leave the rest filled with off the chart sweetness sweet on the set. I went with a group of 6 and most of us left more then half untouched because of the sweetness overload. The set up its really nice, and I made my reservation in 2 weeks advance for window seatings. The view is for sure a killer deal and no brainer for high tea option, but the food is really a missed. They have decent selection of tea. And comp us for some champagne because the tea set was not readily ready. But for the price of the afternoon tea, it just won't make the cut. I would much prefer afternoon high tea at the upper house over the ritz any days. read more

We came for afternoon tea on a Sunday and had a wonderful time. The views are second to none. Forget Victoria Peak, this is the best destination. This was also the best tea that I've had. The macaron itself was worth the entire cost. Crisp, yet fluffy. Perfection. I also really enjoyed the smoked salmon with caviar. I'm still only giving it 3 stars because while the food was great and the views even better, the service was really lacking. It took forever for a hot water refill, no 2nd selection of tea was ever offered, and our glasses of champagne (add'l cost) were constantly waiting to be refilled. It was also a very quiet afternoon, so I can't fault the waiter for being busy. Even with our complaints, I'd absolutely return again. read more

My favorite macaron creator Pierre Hermé Paris has descended onto Ritz Carlton Hong Kong with a retail shop in the lobby along with two pop-up Valentine's Day afternoon tea sets at Cafe 103 and The Lounge & Bar featuring its macarons! Available only from February 13-15, the afternoon tea sets have the same savory treats with slightly different dessert offerings between the two cafes. I ended up choosing The Lounge & Bar because I have already been to Cafe 103 previously for its chocolate themed afternoon tea. Price for the afternoon tea costs $408 for one and $688 for two people. The elevator from the lobby took me to 103/F where I had to take a flight of escalator down to The Lounge & Bar located on 102/F. The space was huge and expansive with high ceilings and front row seats of the harbor view through its floor-to-ceiling windows. I think I prefer the seating here more than Cafe 103 because even though one is directly on top of the other so they share the same view, Cafe 103 only has limited seats right by the windows while most of the seats are located more on the inside. The afternoon tea comes with tea or coffee of your choice. A large selection of teas are available such as black tea, oolong tea, green tea and herbal tea while the coffee offerings are standard. I wanted a green tea so I chose the Morgentau which is a green tea blend with large-leaf sencha and delicate fruity aromas. It was aromatic but too bitter for my taste. Our afternoon tea set arrived in a 3-tier stand shortly after! The 4 savories were on the top tier with: Dark chocolate barbecued mini pork burger Lavender smoked salmon sandwich Confit duck mousse tart with beetroot foam Sakura honey cream cheese Swiss roll The creations were unique and delicious especially the mini pork burger and the beetroot foam tart where the flavors worked quite well together. The middle tier contained desserts: Pistachio chocolate cannele Chocolate brownie mille-feuille Lemon mint bar I was afraid that the desserts would taste really sweet and heavy but surprisingly they were all really delightful and scrumptious! The cannele was my favorite while I adore the crunchy textures in both the lemon min bar and mille-feuille so they were not as dense as I thought they would be. The mille-feuille reminded me of ferroro rocher actually with its hazelnut flavors! The bottom tier contained plain and raisin scones with jam and clotted cream. The scones were quite well-made with its crumbly yet soft textures and they were lovely to eat with the jam and clotted cream. Also on the bottom tier was the pink guava verrine which was refreshing with its tart and fresh flavors! I love the crispy sugared rose petal adorned on top which was edible as well. Last but not least, the two Pierre Herme macarons included in our afternoon tea set were: Macaron Infinite Rose with rose and rose petal Macaron Chuao with Chuao chocolate, blackcurrant & blackcurrant berries I love Pierre Herme's macarons because not only are their flavors creative and unique, they also are not overbearingly sweet so you can keep eating them one after another unlike other brands. I also love how soft and delicate the shells were (I almost crushed one while picking it up). Verdict - while there could have been more savories to balance the amount of sweets, the afternoon tea at The Lounge & Bar was high quality while the seating right by the window was just cherry on top! read more

This review is for the Lounge & Bar. If it is not for the killer views, this place is probably only worth a star at most. I find it very overpriced. Tea for two is almost HK$600 with service charge. Food is very average and there is nothing special about their teas. (At least give me some brand name stuff...) SUPER ADVANCE reservations is required if you want window seats. Not to mention there are 3 seatings in the weekends, each last for about 2 hours. Unless you got the cash to burn and you are desperate for a place with views, I would not recommend this place. read more

Got 3 drinks, one juice, two with booze. Nothing special about the drinks, but that mojito nearly killed all of us from the sheer amount of lime in that drink. Originally we wanted to go to the Ozone bar, but my friend was wearing shorts which they don't allow up there. We ended up going to The Lounge & Bar. We came here mid week around 10 p.m., the place wasn't packed and we could still get a table at the window. Bear in mind that there's a minimum charge of HK$ 200 per person if you want to sit directly at the window. That's fine because it's expensive here and it's very to easy spend more than 200 especially if you have an alcoholic beverage or even 2. The weather was nice and the view was just impressive from the 102 floor. Service here is very good, attentive, knowledgeable and very friendly. Selection of drinks is extensive, what you would expect from the Ritz Carlton. Although the sofas are very comfortable, for me the decor is a little kitschy. If you're visiting, you should definitely try this out. read more

I actually prefer this bar to Ozone. The couches that have a counter giving an unobstructed view of the Hong Kong skyline are great. I enjoyed the level 102 champagne cocktail along with the spring rolls and bruschetta which were both excellent. The wait staff are incredible, as is the staff all throughout the hotel. Every trip to HK I frequent the Ritz Carlton and the beautiful Elements Mall that it is attached to. read more

I think this place is basic. Nothing sticks out accept for the service they provided. I had breakfast and diner there and for the quality of food you could get it for cheaper and most likely better from somewhere out side. Granted this place has phenomenal views I would pass to go to other places for food. read more
