Nice chill ambience. Here for a corporate event and the suits fills the place. The finger foods looks pretty and nice, the drinks are decent. The service is attentive. The place is small enough to be cosy, big enough to hold a decent party. Decor scores the stars, old ship or boat theme right in the middle of the cosmopolitan city.

Bitter truth!

Located in the heart of Central the Foxglove is one of my favorite cocktail bars at the moment. The interior looks like a bar from an old cruise ship, with the waiting staff dressed to match. Lights are dimmed which makes a relaxing and intimate atmosphere. Service is attentive, friendly and very knowledgeable, even when it's packed. They are happy to assist you in choosing your cocktail. Apart from the classic drinks the foxglove has its own signature drinks on the menu with names like "The Bitter Truth" or "The Canary". The bar tenders are doing a great job and are not shy on the alcohol for their cocktails. They also have a small food menu with classic European dishes. I tried their Fish and Chips and it was done to perfection. Thick hand cut delicious fries, the batter of the fish was crispy and not oily at all. This is a great place and I'm coming back for sure!

Great mood lighting and music

This is a really cool place in Hong Kong. The entrance has a bunch of expensive umbrella and gives a very UK vibe and reminded me of the movie the Kingsman. I went on a Wednesday night and it wasn't too crowded and no reservation needed. You get to enter through a secret door which was pretty cool. The waiters for the most part spoke English which was a plus and unlike the local HK scene the people at the bar were more conscious of themselves haha. It was a very cool establishment. It has some seating in the center and then a bar on the side. It would not be a good place to bring more than 4 people. They serve both drinks and food as well, but from glancing at the menu I was glad I ate beforehand as prices are steep even for HK. We got two glasses of wine and it turned out to be 36 USD but I guess we paid for the ambiance and the entertainment which was exceptional. This would be a great date place but not the scene if you want to turn up. It's great for escaping the hustle and bustle of HK and relax and wind down. My friend was saying that there is normally a full band on the weekend but whennwe went it was just a two person band with an acoustic set, but they were still amazing with great song choices. I only gave four stars for the pricing of things.

Popped in for a night cap with some friends. It has a very cool vibe! We went literally right before closing, so I think there were only 2 other people in the place besides us. However, the decor and vibe are really cool so I'd love to go back and see it when it's crowded. I think we had some Venezuelan rum? But to be honest, I was also a little drunk by the time we arrived and I'm not entirely sure.

Tasty beverage

Heard about Foxglove from Yelp so we were excited to visit. Like all hidden speakeasies, it was cool to see the hostess open the sliding door using an umbrella switch. Inside, the decor was dark and lush and I could feel myself transported to a distant past. Hong Kong Renaissance perhaps? We came for drinks and music and didn't have the food. The drinks were tasty and well-balanced, although expectedly pricy. I was surprised when the hostess said that there was no minimum charge per pax the night I visited (Tuesday)-it made sense later. I felt surreal because there was such a disconnect between the decor of the bar and the performing ability of the female duo. I'll be fair and admit that I'm not a professional musician but I've seen my fair act of live jazz bands internationally. The saxophonist was amateurish and seemed unnecessary; she did not play much at parts where a sax accompaniment was appropriate and spent more time swaying to music. The singer's voice was forgettably mediocre and she seemed breathless. We were guessing if the club owner was doing his friend a favor and gave free reign on a quiet night since the duo retired to a table of friends after half an hour of songs. Yikes. Located in the…read moreParekh House, it feels almost like an apartment complex turned lounge, overlooking the vibrant Wyndham and just a stone's throw away from Soho and Lan Kwai Fong. The drinks are solid here, but the casual, comfy vibe is what keeps me coming back. There is a small bar counter, surrounded by plush comfy sofas, and an outdoor terrace. The bartenders and Will the manager are fun and friendly, a nice alternative to the bouncer enforcer venues just a few doors down the street. The couches are comfy enough to fall asleep on, which has probably happened to folks who've had one too many to drink. Happy Hours are only weekdays here from 6pm-9pm, which are ideal primetime drinking hours. Weekends are much busier here, but still quieter than most of the ground level drinking holes on the street. Fancy a drink earlier in the week? Good news is the cocktails are 2-for-1 on Mondays and Tuesdays. I usually grab myself a whisky based drink or one of their less sweet cocktails and chat along the terrace while enjoying the view and good company. There are some days where I'd rather come and relax before / after embarking the pretentious Central scene. This is one of the few safe bets for a quality drink with an equally quality ambience.

I enjoy sharing stories and experiences with each other, kind of guilty though to realize someone has never been to LKF before, haha, hope others enjoyed the night just like me. Well, talking about Bar Six, or should be written as "Bar 6ix", as shown inside, it is nice, delicate and comfortable, which is a lounge designed bar, with two long sofa chairs placed aside as "L" shape, so plenty of space and privacy are provided. There is a smoking area outside in terrace, where you can sit on high chair to enjoy whiskey and cigar. The view is not very attractive but sitting tall outside in concrete jungle is always enjoyable. More than that, Will, the manager and his team are super friendly and cheerful, they recommended different cocktails, came around all the time to make sure the drinks were good, taught the girls magical tricks -burn your finger with fire, haha, which was a really cool lesson before we left with big smiles. Btw, Kevin, we called you to get another drink but you didn't answer, haha, next time maybe!

So we could barely see anything but we thought it's ok we're just gonna enjoy the drinks and foods. Well it turned out the view already was the best part of the night. We ordered 4 cocktails and only 1 was good. We didn't finish the other 3 because they just tasted horrible. My advice is just get something simple like gin and tonic or coke and rum. Their own signature cocktails were a waste of money. We also ordered fries and fried chicken which were overcooked. They were probably left in the fryer for too long. The wagyu beef slider was actually quite delicious but hey we paid $180 for 1 slider it'd better be good. Overall it was a very disappointing experience. I don't think I would come back again..

It used to be a store selling ping pong stuff back in the 60s when ping pong was a big deal in Hong Kong. You will find it in the Sai Ying Pun neighborhood, beyond a red door, down a long flight of stairs, encased in exposed concrete, bathed in neon red light. I won't post a photo of the street door. It shouldn't be hard to find and you should want the adventure. We walked, but it's right at a taxi drop off. Delicious and cleverly crafted beverages, but especially or only if you enjoy gin, specifically gin & tonics. That's the menu: all G&Ts. Lots of Spanish gin. It's a Spanish influenced gin bar after all. Spanish tapas also to seal the theme. Fantastic service and music choices. This must be underground magic. Dreamy cement bunker city romance if it ever were a thing. It gets crowded and full with locals and expats alike and you might be told to come back another time. Do it, enjoy the scenes and trendy girls exemplifying HK's nightlife. Te amo!

It can feel spacious yet crowded at the same time. Although I'm not an expert on gin, I decided to go for the classic gin & tonic (Half Crown). I wish they had more seasonal flavors in their menu, maybe like a summery peach, lychee twist, or mangosteen punch, just something besides the classic citrus-flavor profiles. It was a solid G&T, but a bit pricy for HK$130. A few friends in the group ordered some food, but the verdict was just so-so. Someone in my group had accidentally knocked my half-empty glass over, causing it to spill and break into pieces on the floor. The staff were quick to react, clean up and carefully remove any glass residue on the floor.
