One of those very elegant, classy, somewhat sitting between hipster-ish and pretentious kind of bars. No sign: checked. Stairs: checked. VERY dark: checked. Cozy furniture and all: Checked. Great crowd: checked. Awesome mixology: checked. Pricey: very much checked. So yeah, 7/7 boxes checked. You got it. Just go to the address. When you arrive, you will see nothing but a long dark alley. Go in, no one bites. Turn up stairs as well. Staff will be nice enough to notice your arrival and open the door before you reach the final few steps. Get in, sit at the bar if you don't have a reservation. Oh yeah, those cozy sofas. Make your booking first if you want them. I know people who'd hate to be here. Some would find it very comfortable, and some would prefer a low-key, more down-to-earth $40 a bottle of beer kind of bar. But yeah, I have no problem coming here once awhile, just to impress someone or enjoy a good time. Just remember you have to pay for the premium.

    Scotch eggs at Stockton!!

Located down a long, dark alley, Stockton is meant to be seen as an almost speakeasy bar, similar to the ones in New York. Walking down the dark alley, all you will see are a few candles guiding your path; it could be a little scary for first timers, but go on, it's worth it! Once you get inside, you will find that it is very much like a gentlemen's club kind of atmosphere, filled with plush leather sofas and a long dark bar. There are lots of partitions and brick walls for private parties. I have been here multiple times, the first few times were strictly just for whisky. Although they have a large selection of rare and not-so-rare whiskies, but do expect them to be overpriced compared some of the other whisky bars in Hong Kong. On the most recently visit of mine; we actually went for an Oyster Revolution event, which takes place every Tuesday. We sat down around 7:30 and ordered some cocktails and a dozen oysters; we were told it was sold out! It was their event of the evening, how could it be sold out already! We inquired again and they said they had one more tray. As they were served, we almost wished they WERE sold out, as they weren't so fresh. We decided to give up the oysters and order some of their bar foods instead. We were extremely impressed with the scotch eggs. I haven't had scotch eggs that were so delicious for a long time. The pork to egg to mayo ratio was perfect! My second cocktail that evening was also a pleasant surprise, I ordered a Ribston Apple, it turned out to be all of my favorite things rolled into one, cinnamon, apple, rum and honey. I would come back just for this drink!

Whiskey sour was impeccable !!! Cheers fellas

Was only in HK for a few nights , but I'd heard great things about Stockton, and they didn't disappoint !! Gorgeous room with a sleek sexy bar, bartenders were on point and the cocktails were divine. I only hope to get back soon

Great selection of gins and brandys

We were here on a Monday so it was not crowded. Service was great, atmosphere was cozy, the bar was beautifully arranged, the music was very enjoyable (soul & jazz) and the drinks were on point! Best old fashioned in Hong Kong is to be found here! The whisky sour and g&t were not bad either. Big plus for getting shots on the house :) Also check out the bathrooms in one of which the mirror was one sided, letting you see what's outside but none could see you back. Proper investigator style.

The drinks are solid here, but the casual, comfy vibe is what keeps me coming back. There is a small bar counter, surrounded by plush comfy sofas, and an outdoor terrace. The bartenders and Will the manager are fun and friendly, a nice alternative to the bouncer enforcer venues just a few doors down the street. The couches are comfy enough to fall asleep on, which has probably happened to folks who've had one too many to drink. Happy Hours are only weekdays here from 6pm-9pm, which are ideal primetime drinking hours. Weekends are much busier here, but still quieter than most of the ground level drinking holes on the street. Fancy a drink earlier in the week? Good news is the cocktails are 2-for-1 on Mondays and Tuesdays. I usually grab myself a whisky based drink or one of their less sweet cocktails and chat along the terrace while enjoying the view and good company. There are some days where I'd rather come and relax before / after embarking the pretentious Central scene. This is one of the few safe bets for a quality drink with an equally quality ambience.

I enjoy sharing stories and experiences with each other, kind of guilty though to realize someone has never been to LKF before, haha, hope others enjoyed the night just like me. Well, talking about Bar Six, or should be written as "Bar 6ix", as shown inside, it is nice, delicate and comfortable, which is a lounge designed bar, with two long sofa chairs placed aside as "L" shape, so plenty of space and privacy are provided. There is a smoking area outside in terrace, where you can sit on high chair to enjoy whiskey and cigar. The view is not very attractive but sitting tall outside in concrete jungle is always enjoyable. More than that, Will, the manager and his team are super friendly and cheerful, they recommended different cocktails, came around all the time to make sure the drinks were good, taught the girls magical tricks -burn your finger with fire, haha, which was a really cool lesson before we left with big smiles. Btw, Kevin, we called you to get another drink but you didn't answer, haha, next time maybe!

We ordered 4 cocktails and only 1 was good. We didn't finish the other 3 because they just tasted horrible. My advice is just get something simple like gin and tonic or coke and rum. Their own signature cocktails were a waste of money. We also ordered fries and fried chicken which were overcooked. They were probably left in the fryer for too long. The wagyu beef slider was actually quite delicious but hey we paid $180 for 1 slider it'd better be good. Overall it was a very disappointing experience. I don't think I would come back again..

The venue was also really responsive on WhatsApp, answering all of my questions very quickly. The place was a little hard to find. My cab dropped me off nearby and a passerby was able to help me find the exact building. The venue is absolutely gorgeous. It's classy, sexy, shrouded in a bit of mystery... something like a speakeasy. The evening's performances were fantastic! The musicians played a range of hits that appealed to a broad audience (which was great because there was a little of everyone in the room that evening). The servers were attentive and kind, and their service had a personalized touch which I really appreciated, especially since I had just landed in the country barely 2 hours prior and didn't know a soul there. It was a solid G&T, but a bit pricy for HK$130. A few friends in the group ordered some food, but the verdict was just so-so.
