Played board games here for $7. They have a huge organized selection of games and a menu of snack and drink items. The munchkin (mochiko chicken bites) are a great snack to share with friends while playing board games.
Super delicious all gluten free food, friendly service, great place to hang out with friends, they have tons of board games to choose from. It was our first time visiting, we came because we wanted to try the food. We enjoyed everything we ordered: Iced matcha latte, Americano, dinosaur island (fried mochiko chicken bites, rice & salad), chicken coup waffle sandwich (fried mochiko chicken thigh, coleslaw, furikake seasoning) & chocolate mochi waffle dessert with strawberries, nutella & coffee ice cream.
Great food with friendly and helpful service. They have dedicated gluten-free kitchen. I appreciated the Celiac-safe environment and all the games they have available. Overall, great vibe. We shall be returning!

They have a bunch of board games, and the food is pretty good! It's also gluten free, so it's a good place if anyone in your group has any level of gluten intolerance. I tried the Dinosaur Island, which is the rice plate with fried chicken and salad. From my experience, these sorts of game places have food as an afterthought, but the food here was enjoyable. Even though it's $7 per person to get a table, it gets busy here. We had to wait 10-15 minutes on a Saturday night. As expected for a place where people play board games while eating, it does get a bit loud inside, and the game pieces can get grimy. Street parking only.
We had a spectacular time here! There's open seating and it's only $7 per person to stay as long as you'd like. They have a whole area dedicated to board games, nicely categorized by strategy, family, card games, and more. You can even purchase board games, and some are on sale. I really appreciated the service. The staff gave us great game recommendations and were very accommodating with requests, like extra sauce for our food. And the food is bomb. You must order their waffles (we got the Bananagrams) because they're chewy thanks to the mochi batter. We also tried the waffle fries and the Munchkin (fried chicken bites with sauce), which were just as good. Bonus points - they have bathrooms!
My wife and I love this place. The all-gluten-free kitchen is a plus, but the food is great even for those who do not avoid gluten. Waffles and fried chicken are my favorites and the hot beverages are top-notch. It is a very welcoming space to play Boardgames and meet other folks with similar interests. The games vary from some simple kid-friendly games to some relatively complicated ones like Terraforming Mars. Check it out!
The place was quite empty on a Tuesday afternoon, but it quickly filled up in the evening. They had a great variety of games although some of them were in old condition. The potion explosion was a matcha with sweet strawberry puree and crunchy aloe. The waffle fries were crunchy and savory. The popcorn chicken had a semi sweet glaze and it was delicious.
The Game Parlour is a charming board games cafe located in the sunset and a perfect place to meet up with friends for a games night! The interior was nice and clean, service was friendly and helpful, and I'd love to come back another time to try more food and drinks. I ordered the matcha and honey latte and it was good, but the rest of the hot drinks sounded good too, so I'd try something else next time. I love that this game cafe offers a good place to hang out into the evening and there's a large selection of board games to choose from as well as fast wifi. I'll be back soon!

I'm not a board gamer (I don't want to learn rules in my free time) so I may never come here for the actual games but I will willingly come back just for the food. You can order to eat without having to play games, which is a boon for my celiac friend. They offer a variety of sweet and savory gluten free waffles made with rice flour, giving the waffles that classic chewy mochi texture. But unlike other mochi waffles I've had that can be "too much" sometimes, these are on the thinner side which balances perfectly. While they lack the crispy edges of a traditional gluten waffle, they make up for it in their sweet but not too sweet chewy texture. My friend and I split the chicken waffle and the pastrami waffle. I'd recommend getting the sweet soy glaze on the chicken. We got the gochujang glaze on some popcorn chicken and found it to be very one note and slightly overpowering in its flavor. The chicken was so moist and flavorful! The pastrami was good but a little heavy handed with the thousand island dressing. I'll have to come back to try their sweet waffles and drinks sometime! Logistics: - indoor and outdoor seating - limited street parking nearby - everything is gluten free except for any dish containing OREOs

Of course, my favorite thing was the board games themselves. We played San Francisco themed board game and Cascadia. I really enjoyed them both, the former was a little more complex but was worth it for the fun theming! I'm definitely planning on coming back another time to play more games and eat more good food!
Visited Game Parlour on a Sunday around 3pm! There is indoor and outdoor seating, and we were able to walk in and get a table inside as a party of 2 without much wait. It's $7 a person, which feels reasonable considering unlimited playtime and the wide variety of games. From social deduction to cooperative to single player, there is a game for everyone here. There is also a mini cafe inside the store that serves food and drinks! You can order at the counter or you can scan the QR code on the table to place an order which I thought was pretty neat. We got a hot chocolate and it was decent! Nice presentation and taste wise, it was light and sweet. For the price though, it was a bit small. After two hours, one of the employees politely asked if we'd consider moving outside to free up space inside. Our brains were fried from the strategy games anyways so we decided to head out at that point. Overall Game Parlour is a fun, casual hangout spot - would recommend!

Went on a Thursday evening to play some games. The Game parlour was very lively and full of people. You pay $7 per person to be able to play games, unlimited time at a table they seat you at. They also have a drink and food menu that Includes alcoholic drinks (beer and wine). You can order these items at the counter or you can scan the QR code at your table and they will deliver your order to you. The game selection is wide and the service was friendly. The coffee was good and we enjoyed the meal we got to share. All in all I would go back again. They also have member pricing if you are a frequent visitor. read more
The Game Parlour is a fun board game cafe that seems good for groups. We found easy street parking near the venue. One can go to the front to put in a board gaming reservation or order food, and there are several shelves of games (playable and brand new ones to be sold). When we arrived, there were several groups already interacting in the space. Ordering snacks is also easy to order via the QR code at the table. We socialized for a bit and ate an early dinner. I ordered a fizzy strawberry lemonade drink with a dollop of dole whip. It was the perfect refreshment after our earlier jaunt, though I wasn't such a fan of the Sprite base. After eyeing friends' waffle sandwiches, I ordered the fried chicken waffle sandwich. I believe it's gluten free, though perhaps not made with mochiko, as it wasn't that stretchy. There was a mix of sweet and savory, though I personally would have liked the sandwich more if the waffle was crispier. The cole slaw tasted pretty basic, I only detected mayo. I think a pickled veggie would add a nice kick to the sandwich if that were possible. All in all, this seems like a fun place to enjoy time with friends, would consider for future gatherings. read more
Came here around 3 on a Friday. Not many people there. A few were playing board games. We came here since it's mostly gluten free here! We were starving and the food was good. We ordered: Chicken coup - very yummy and filling but waffle got soggy at the end Munchkin bites - great portion and tasty Love letter- highly recommend! Gloomhaven- got it with oat milk and it was a bit grainy with sesame not blended well . Would skip next time Very reasonable priced. We sat at the patio since we brought our dog! Very cute place to hangout with friends and play some fun games! We each paid a $7 gaming fee which was an ok price based on all the variety of games they have. We ordered some food for the table as well: Root (waffle cut fries with furikake seasoning) - 4/5. Basic fries, but could use more seasoning. Build your own mochi waffle (original base with strawberries and nutella) - 3/5. Friend who ordered this wasn't a big fan, and said there was an unexpected coconut flavor. Munchkin (fried mochiko chicken bites, regular sauce) - 5/5. Friend who ordered this LOVED it and said it had really good flavor. I didn't try it but it smelled amazing. We had fun playing Wavelength and Exploding Kittens for a couple hours, and would come again! read more
There's plenty of tables and games here. It's only $7 a person and you can stay until closing. I like how many games they have and the different varieties. It can get kinda loud here so be prepared to talk a little louder than normal. There's also plenty of parking in the area. You can also order food and drinks here including alcohol. read more

Had a fun time playing games and enjoying snacks with friends visiting from NYC! I'd walked past here a couple times before but never stopped in. As the name suggests, it's definitely a go-to spot for groups rather than individuals. I thought the snacks were just okay. The emphasis is on the establishment of a third space for gathering, and it's executed well if you're into games. read more

The cutest board game parlour! Def recommended this spot to various friends when they're looking for a place for fun wholesome activities outside of bars. This is also a good place for a date! There is a plethora of board games to choose from and yummy food to go along with the games :) The waffles were really good along with the drinks. There's also savory dishes with a Japanese inspired touch. This spot is very clean and staff were very nice and helpful in choosing games! Will def continuing being a regular here! read more

It's so important to have third spaces like these, and the combination of yummy food (accessible for more people thanks to the all-GF menu!) and games helps create a really meaningful experience, at least if you and a friend like board games. I had not had waffle fries in many years, as celiac disease necessitates completely GF fryers. These fries were everything I had been hoping for after so much time. Got them as a combo with my waffle grilled cheese, which I also really liked, despite its heaviness in my stomach. I found the price for a combo meal quite reasonable, given the higher prices of GF flours and SF real estate. Would love to come back here! read more
Upon entering in this establishment, I saw a bunch of tables that were filled with people along with games and eating!! Apparently we saw the outdoor seating area and thought that this place was somewhat indoors and outdoors, but it's mainly indoors in goodness it looks like everybody was having so much fun!! For such a cold winter like San Francisco day everybody in here was nice warm and cozy as they had drinks and snacks and played!! I also liked how they had sections of gaming areas. There were tables for 2 or even 10 in the back and as we were greeted the lady at the register asked how many for our table. We were getting Take Out, so I was able to order their Reef sandwich and Machi Koro waffle with their Azul (Hojicha) oatmilk latte! The Reef sandwich was perfect! I truly love that style of sandwich just because of the coleslaw, but the fish tasted decent and I liked the pickles. I just wish I brought some red pepper flakes along with me. Hahaha that's just me... The Machi Koro: yummmm- matcha waffle with azuki beans yummmm! The only thing negative I have to say, is I could only eat half and as I placed the leftovers of this dish in my fridge (in hopes of eating it for breakfast the next morning), the strawberries grew mold on the top overnight..... so that made me wonder how fresh the strawberries were.... Overall, I'd definitely try other sandwiches at this place, and I also liked the fact it was warm inside this cafe. Granted I was freezing cold once we left, it was nice to defrost and warm up as we waited for my lunch to get made. Hee read more
We love a third space! For $10-15 you can play games for an unlimited amount of time. Reservations can be made 48 hours ahead (I did try making one around 30 hours ahead and it didn't take the reservation). On a Friday night half of the parlor was taken up by a Star Wars event. I felt out of place playing jenga and hues and cues next to hardcore gamers but the staff are still welcoming. We got a sesame mochi waffle and it was so much better than expected for a place that is for gaming. Will definitely be back to play with a large group when we don't fit our place! read more
Really great spot to hangout or even for a date! This place reminds me of guildhouse in san jose, but guildhouse is bigger and they don't charge to play games. It's only $7 per person for games and there is no time limit to be here either which is nice. You are able to get 2 games at a time. The service here was average. Cashier gave us suggestions on food/drinks and we ended up getting the chicken coup (spicy) combo. It comes with their waffle fries and a fountain drink. I like how they seasoned their fries with furikake - adds a nice touch and haven't seen that done elsewhere. Games were all clean and had all pieces luckily. After youre done you put it on a rack. Same for empty dishes, put it on a seperate rack. We went on a Sunday night about 8 something until closing time. They have games and other knick knacks for sale as well. 2 bathrooms in the back, and wished they had paper towels. They did have a hand dryer as well.p read more

If you're a game fanatic, the Game Parlour will be paradise for you. I have been wanting to visit but bever had the time to actually spend here. If I were to visit and pay my fee to play games, I would ideally want to at least spend 5 hours inside. And that's exactly what me and my other eight friends did on a Saturday afternoon. We played numerous of games, some more than others (Avalon). And then ate some of their delicious meals. Such a great way to catch up, laugh, and spend time away from phones. Their selection of board games is amazing and I hope it keeps growing to introduce us to games we've never heard of before! read more
The perfect place to go test out games before you purchase or hang out with a large group! My fiancé and I love to come here to try different board games out before purchasing. It's $7/pp for unlimited play. They have a huge variety of games (party, strategy, classics, card games, etc) and they do a great job at continuously adding new titles. Their food selection is also really impressive! We got their strawberry black sesame waffle and it was really delicious. My only complaint is that although the tables are clean, the material of the table makes it feel really sticky. read more

Loved visiting the Game Parlour. The fee is $7 per person but you can stay as long as you'd like! I loved this model since often times if you are at a restaurant or cafe for a long time you get pushed out but not here. Grab some games and stay as long as you like. Staff was incredibly friendly and knowledge about the games they had and where they are located. They even have a game inventory on their website so you can search for the games they have in their inventory. Outdoor seating is also pet friendly and was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was as well! read more
I really enjoyed my experience at the Game Parlor! You wait to be seated and pay up front for the table, which I believe is $7 per person. Once you're seated, you can go up to the counter and order food and drinks. Service is great and you go up and pick up the food yourself once they call out your order. Furikake chicken was 5/5, I really enjoyed the seaweed taste on it. Sweet and salty. You can also get a gochujjang version which I didn't try. the portions were a good size as well. Waffle fries: (not pictured) were a little stale, 2/5 Chocolate waffle with whipped cream: the waffles were made of mochiko flour I believe and provided a nice chew to it. Lots and lots of game! It was great, spent a solid 3 hours there with friends. Perfect for cheap fun with the group! read more
A wonderful, cozy place where to can play board games. Lots of tables. They even have packs of the popular card games like Magic The Gathering that you can buy. I came here for lunch. Took a look at the menu and decided on the Chicken Coup sandwich combo (which game with a side of waffle fries and a drink). Both the waffles on the sandwich and fries were toasted without being undercooked or burnt. I could put a little bit of maple syrup and think this was breakfast. Lots of grilled chicken. And finally thanks for not putting a ton of ice into my drink. read more

ABSOLUTELY THE BEST FOOD IVE EVER HAD!! Period. 10/10! Amazing! Everything is gluten free and let me tell you, it's a must try! We had the chicken sandwich, chicken bites, fries and the splendor mochi waffles. Super plus side note, parking was a breeze. Went on a Saturday during lunch hour and found a spot close. We will be back. read more

We are only licensed to sell beer and wine. Customers cannot bring their own alcohol.

Tuesday nights can be busy, especially in the summer. But in general, that night you're probably able to walk in and get a table pretty quickly or relatively soon.

Hi Eddie! Yes, people work on their laptops typically during the weekdays from when we open at 11am to mid-afternoon. We do have free wifi, but no outlets.
