    This Caprese Panini was delicious!!
    Deena M.

Apparently this place has been here for over a year, I had no idea! This lunch spot took over the old Cafe Columbia space in the Columbia Bank building downtown. Clean, plenty of seating, fast service and most importantly, they turn out a great panini! I tried the Caprese, it was fantastic and reasonably priced. I'll be back.

We were going to Poquitos on Division but looks like that place fell prey to the Tacoma curse. A…read morelot of places don't hang around too long and that spot in particular has seemed hard to keep in business. But then we looked cross the street on 1st, where there used to be an Anthem, and even though it was already 6pm, this sandwich shop was still open and...there was a BINGO game happening. Whaddya know? So we took a peak in and they were not only serving sandwiches but they also had a cooler full of microbrews and kombuchas, beer on tap, wine, and a whole list of cocktails made from prosecco and other non-hard liquors like Amaro. Truly something for everyone. So we gave our order to the sweet human at the counter and took our seats I'm not kidding, my Amaro sour was one of the best cocktails I've had in a while in Tacoma and so were the pretzel sticks. I want my cocktails cold, tart, and refreshing with a little kick of funk or herbs and I want my pretzels salty. You wouldn't think that's such a high bar to clear but you'd be surprised. Sandwich Starr nailed it. Our Zatan sandwich was tasty but even though the bread felt a little stale. Otherwise the decor is kinda '90s coffee house and they've got bingo! Overall, this is an odd spot but the drinks are really good and it's got heart and it's the heart that makes it Tacoma.

One day I received a notification that one of my fellow Yelpers had checked into this place, and I…read moredecided to look it up to see what they had to offer. I'm a big fan of breweries, especially those with several drinks on draught or tap, and if they're really good, I'll buy them in a bottle. However, I read their review and noticed that they had vegan and vegetarian options, so I thought, "You know what? That's a combination I can't resist. Beers with a delicious sandwich!" A few days later, I made plans to visit on Saturday, which happened to be one of the two days this year that it snowed in the Pirec. It was quite amusing with the parking and the snow that stuck everywhere. As soon as I walked in, the bar was buzzing with energy. It had a great vibe. I didn't think I'd get any seats, but I managed to snag one at the bar with a very friendly person. I spent all but about 3 to 4 hours there. The sandwich I ordered was called the Rainier, and it was mentioned in the review, but the name wasn't revealed. It consists of a field roast loaf, Chao vegan cheese, herbed vegan mayonnaise, tomato, red onion, and arugula on sourdough bread. I'm not a big fan of mayonnaise, even if it's vegan, so I swapped it out with some pesto-style creamy cheese, and it turned out even better than I expected. The sandwich was a perfect five out of five. I would definitely order it every time I come. It came with a side of chips, which was a great addition. The sandwich was massive, so I could only eat half of it. I took the other half home for the next day. For my beers, I'm a big stout-and-porter guy, so I went with the Fort George's. They had two options: the Salted Caramel Cavatica & Matryoshka Vanilla. Both were exceptionally flavorful and probably my favorite porters I've had in all of Washington and many other states. Unfortunately, they ran out of the Salted Caramel Cavatica, so I ended up drinking the Matryoshka Vanilla for the rest of the night and didn't mind at all. Overall, I had a fantastic time at this place. I'm definitely going to make it a regular stop in my monthly rotations around Tacoma. Highly recommend stopping by this place. It's definitely a five. Service is amazing, and the drinks are worth the trip. They have an array of options, which is what I love about this place. Until next time!

I'm a creature of habit with the 6th Ave Strut and Ragin Cajun, but honestly, you can't go wrong; my friends all have different favorites and rave about them every time. Dining in is the best experience, but they've seriously leveled up their takeout game. They swapped the old foil wraps (which led to soggy buns) for specialized takeout carriers, so the quality holds up perfectly even if you're eating on the go. Parking can be a bit of a gamble depending on when you show up, but it is 100% worth the effort. Whether you're here for the food or the drinks, you're guaranteed to find something you love.

You seat yourself and there is ample seating depending on if you want to watch a TV or people watch along 6th. I kept it basic with the Red Hot dog and then tried something new with the Hound dog.
