BEWARE! MAKE SURE THEY DISCLOSE HOW MUCH TIME THEY ARE GIVING YOU TO DO A DEEP CLEANING BEFORE YOU…read moreAGREE TO USE THEM! IN THE AGREEMENT THEY SENT, THEY SPECIFICALLY SAY THE CLEANERS STAY UNTIL THE JOB IS FINISHED....but 3 1/2 hours into the job the cleaners told me they had a half hour left and the owners argued that there is a set time given for the deep cleaning contrary to the agreement they sent. I hired them to do a deep cleaning for my bungalow, one large main room, medium size bedroom and tiny bath and kitchen. I sent a detailed description and indicated it was a level 9 job. But they are never really clear about what a deep cleaning is, other than 'more thorough". THIS is the main problem. One of the company's complaints was that the cleaner had to take things out of my medicine cabinet in order to clean the shelves!! When I asked how do they clean shelves if they don't take things off the shelf they said "well if its a picture frame alright" Huh? On the website they say they will mop vacuum or handwash the floors but the company complained that the cleaners would have had to "move things" in order to clean the floors!! ( a few tv trays and small stand) Either way they never got that far. So be prepared to ask them...What Exactly is a deep cleaning?? So they charged an extra $65 to "deep clean". Fine. They also charged an extra $10 to wash my dishes (wondered why this wouldn't be considered part of regular or deep cleaning but...fine) and an extra $29 to clean out fridge. Fine. Total for regular cleaning one time $119, add the extras it came to $204 (with first time discount) Fine, BUT the cleaner showed up, (absolutely pleasant and good cleaner) and brings a helper she had to hire herself, which meant they sent one cleaner to do a Deep Cleaning on a one bedroom bungalow and gave her 4 hours to do it. After 3 1/2 hours of cleaning I am informed that they only had a half hour left!! - During that time only the bathroom (very small) got thoroughly and beautifully cleaned and only 1/3 of the kitchen, also tiny, got cleaned; stove cleaned, front and inside of fridge BUT excluding the dishes, the floor, the counter tops, shelves, cupboard doors and the fact that nothing else in the bungalow was touched... WHAT?? I was NEVER told that the $204 of deep cleaning included only 4 hours of cleaning. In fact I received an email that day that outlined the job and it specifically said cleaners stay until deep cleaning is Done. For regular cleaning they are given allotted hours. So after arguing with the company they reduced the rate down to $161 saying they had to pay for the cleaners time and they of course gave themselves a profit. It is not my responsibility to pay for the cleaners time or their profit. It is my responsibility to pay for the job rendered. So they wanted me to pay $161 to have my tiny bungalow bathroom and a third of my tiny kitchen cleaned and nothing else done. I broke the rate down to what they charge on their website and what was actually done and it came to $85 worth of service out of the $200 they were going to charge me for deep cleaning my bungalow. Which I am more than happy to pay. Of course I am disputing with the CC company. Buyer Beware!

While they were always late (up to an hour late), they do a thorough job. The last time they came, someone broke two doors in our dining room buffet server and a scale in the bathroom. They pretended nothing happened and took lots of fruit that I had offered them. I found out and called the owner Carolina the next day. She initially denied it and said she was having dinner and would call me back. I waited one week and no response, so I stopped payment on the check. Finally I got an angry call. I said she never called me back as promised, and I had to find a way to get her attention. Also I was willing to pay her the cleaning fee minus the stop payment cost and the repair cost. And if she had been honest and told me she broke the doors in the first place, I would have worked with her to peacefully resolve this and still maintain a working relationship. She started cursing and texted racial comments: "IF THAT FUCKING MONEY MAKES YOU HAPPY THEN STICK IT UP YOUR ASS! THAT'S WHY I DON'T WORK FOR CHINESE PEOPLE, YOU ARE TWO FACE, WE THREW AWAY THE FRUIT CAUSE WE DIDN'T LIKE IT! IT WAS A CHEAP PIECE OF FURNITURE FROM TARGET!" I'm Asian, but not Chinese, my husband is Caucasian. Our ethnic background does not matter. Clearly Carolina is a racist. I have left both voicemail and text that my offer of paying her the cleaning fee minus stop payment cost and repair cost still stands. I just wanted her to stop harassing us with the continuous nasty texts and calls. Thank god I didn't give her our house key. Imagine what she would have done. I strongly recommend everyone to stay away from them. Honesty is the most important factor when you let strangers into your home and this company obviously does not have this quality. Importantly, took and posted pictures of my home without my permission. The owner kept changing prices and details. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. If I could give zero stars, I would. This company was a complete disappointment from start to finish. They arrived late, took cigarette breaks, and even tried to leave early for a personal event. Instead of working, they complained about "clutter" -- which is exactly what they were hired to deal with. Not one room was fully cleaned. I have 5 bedrooms, and none were finished. An entire den was skipped. Out of 4 bathrooms, only half the work was done. In the master, the dresser tops, mirrors, side tables, and chest were left untouched. One cleaner broke a glass -- she did say "I'm sorry," but the damage still showed how careless the work was overall. On top of that, they posted photos of my home online without my permission, which is a serious invasion of privacy and completely unprofessional. I paid for a full house cleaning and got excuses, sloppy work, broken items, and a bad attitude. Absolutely not worth the money. Avoid this company at all costs.

I needed it cleaned today due to company arriving tomorrow morning and probably called 20 different cleaning services (16 voicemails, 3 no availability, 1 that can only do 6am) before receiving a call back from Ella (the owner) saying that she could have two cleaners come out tonight. 8pm rolls around and they do show up despite the time and length of job ahead of them, and proceed to clean after I showed them through. Both before and after, Ella kept in touch constantly with me and seemingly with the cleaners to make sure everything was going smoothly, to update me on when they would be there, and to inform me of how pricing would work. About 10 minutes before they finished, I received a call from her to give me a final price and she was kind enough to offer a huge discount for the job done. While the pictures don't all show just how big of a disaster the house was, I know full well it was a lot of work. The occupants for the past 3 months consisted of a group of young adults (13-24) combined with a ridiculously furry (sheds on everything) husky. As I'm sure most of you know, this isn't the cleanest age group in terms of household chores. There was plenty of dog fur all over the floors, along the stairwell, on the carpet, and it sort of looked like a food bomb went off in the kitchen. Hair was chopped off and dyed in the restroom. Soap caked onto the sink. Grime from previous owners sat untouched on the blinds in the kitchen. Burnt drippings in the oven. Dust from unuse in the spare bedrooms coated everything. 5 hours later, all of this was remedied. Amazing customer service and attitude from both Ella and the two ladies (sorry, I'm awful with names!). Would definitely recommend Sofiya's Cleaning Services to anybody looking for a stress-free job done for their home!
