It was a difficult position to be in as, without prior warning, my Dyson was dead. When i brought up this issue with Jerry, he simply said that his employee had a broom (imagine mopping after a simple sweep?). I further mentioned that his employee used my own cleaning products. After back and forth with Jerry (who went as far as sending me pictures of the "cleaning" that his employee completed and denying that his employee used my products when, in fact, I was there lol), he finally relented and lowered the price. It is of note that no window cleaning was done. Will never use this company's services again.

If I lived in a bigger place (as opposed to a studio apartment) and wanted to hire house cleaners, I'd call Mahogany in a heartbeat. And I'd definitely request Clifford & Curvin! I don't usually trust anyone else to clean things as thoroughly as I would (I'm a bit obsessive when it comes to cleaning) so that's saying something! They asked me questions (did I want the refrigerator cleaned?) and listened to my requests (please clean the laundry room!) and they wanted me to walk through and approve their work before they left. They then complained about my living in the San Fernando Valley but per the voucher, services are to be honored within 30 miles of their address and I am within that radius. We were not accommodated, offered something to make it up, just a sorry but there is nothing they can do because the crew is still in Los Angeles cleaning a different house. Both before and after, Ella kept in touch constantly with me and seemingly with the cleaners to make sure everything was going smoothly, to update me on when they would be there, and to inform me of how pricing would work. About 10 minutes before they finished, I received a call from her to give me a final price and she was kind enough to offer a huge discount for the job done. While the pictures don't all show just how big of a disaster the house was, I know full well it was a lot of work. The occupants for the past 3 months consisted of a group of young adults (13-24) combined with a ridiculously furry (sheds on everything) husky. As I'm sure most of you know, this isn't the cleanest age group in terms of household chores. There was plenty of dog fur all over the floors, along the stairwell, on the carpet, and it sort of looked like a food bomb went off in the kitchen. Hair was chopped off and dyed in the restroom. Soap caked onto the sink. Grime from previous owners sat untouched on the blinds in the kitchen. Burnt drippings in the oven. Dust from unuse in the spare bedrooms coated everything. 5 hours later, all of this was remedied. I'm also getting excellent service! The new house was fairly clean but really needed a good kitchen/bathroom cleaning and all the floors mopped/walls cleaned/dusting top to bottom. Two super-friendly women came by to do the work. For a 3 bed/2bath house (including refrigerator and oven cleaning, tub with jets, all floors needing a mopping [no carpeting], plantation-blinds on everyyyyy window, etc..) they breezed through it in a timely manner! The house looks fab! I'm beyond pleased! I can't wait to see the magic that happens in the old house! I'll definitely be arranging a regular bi-weekly in the near future! I'm so excited to have found such a wonderful local business. Sure I can call one of the franchised services (not naming names but they rhyme with "jerry maids" and "jolly maids" lol) but as a self-employed woman I much prefer to give my hard-earned money to a small business owned and run by a woman, staffed by women. Allow me to start by saying that the ladies who cleaned were very nice and did a great job…read more... However....I called the owner Servando to get a quote. I told him # of bedrooms, # of bathrooms, and square footage of the apartment. He told me that 3 cleaners would come and it should take 1-1.5 hours @ $100/hr. Cool. We scheduled for middle of the day on a Friday. To prep, we picked up all the clutter, stacked the couches on the area rug so they could quickly mop the hardwood, and did everything possible to make their job easier and quicker. 45 minutes after their scheduled arrival time, nobody shows.....I call and text Servando. He said they were held up and were on their way. An hour and 5 minutes after their scheduled start time, they arrive.......but there's only 2 cleaners :( After an hour and 45 minutes, I called Servando and asked for a discount because there was 1 less cleaner than he promised and it was taking longer because of that. His response, "It doesn't matter how many cleaners there are, it's the same amount of work".......WHAT!?!?!! That's not how math works, my friend. He was pretty rude and I could tell he didn't want to deal with me, so he tells me to ask the main cleaning woman, so I ask her. She tells me to call Servando..... :-/ In the end, I paid $200 for 2 hours and 10 minutes of cleaning.....and wasted an extra 2 hours between waiting for them to arrive and not having enough cleaners to get the job done in a timely manner.
