[[HIGHLIGHT]]Cute little corner spot that catches your eye right away - it's esthetically pleasing and somewhat gives that privacy vibe - you won't miss it cause it has a portrait painted on the bldg of Old Dirty bastard - inside its cozy and very romantic. Dimly lit with candles on all the tables.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This place used to be a bodega and the owner Elliot totally transformed it into this beautiful wine bar that also serves cocktails and also has a plant based menu. For our elite event - we had the opportunity to drink 3 delicious wines - first was a Grillo aka The Franklin - nice white wine - almost like a funky Pinot Grigio. Second - a rose - cute - and lastly - Gruner - which was my favorite they staff paired all our wines with hummus and some veggies - some cheese jam and bread with a side of grapes and a wonderful fresh caesar salad. Everything was great! Things to note - they have happy hour from 5-7 Wednesday - Sunday. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Fridays and Saturdays they will be bringing in a DJ - would definitely return to see what kind of vibes that will be giving.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] They do offer private events and private wine tasting events. Stop on in if you're ever in the neighborhood Elliot the owner is pleasant and very informative. Had a great time. Thank you to the staff and Morlene and Erin for putting this together.

I found this place on yelp and heard about it via socials so I decided to come and try it out. Although they didn't have many pescatarian options. I was able to choose something. I wanted to try their tuna ceviche but it was out of stock. So I would say they need to make sure that doesn't happen constantly. Food: 5/5 I ordered the yucca fries. They were delish. My first time ever trying them and I was not disappointed. They were just the right amount of crispy and the dipping sauces which were an aioli and chipotle mayo sauce paired so well while sipping on my lychee martini. Service: 3/5 my waitress whose name I forgot was really nice. Although I wished he would checked more to ensure that I was okay. He did give me a sample of a French sweet wine resiling which was delish. I'd love to go back and a bit earlier to get the full experience Ambiance: 5/5 [[HIGHLIGHT]]cozy, intimate, nice for a date night or just to go out drab drinks and chat. It's small but just the right amount of space. I came here for an event and I would definitely be back. The bartender was very nice and offered many samples of the different wines. I loved the wine; I had and would come back to try other items. One of the owners was there and he was very friendly. He said they are trying new menu items and to come back. Finally, I can hear good music and also hear my dinner date without screaming at the top of my lungs.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]The place is small, but has ample seating due to its extension on the sidewalk.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]What's nice about the sidewalk seating is that it's framed in so you don't feel like a passerby will steal a fry off your plate.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Inside has a few art pieces & mood lighting.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Now onto the food- I went when they had a special pop-up menu from Brooklyn Suya. The sampler & lamb chops were delicious. The sampler was shrimp, chicken & steak on bread which sounds meh, but you have to try it. Otherwise they have charcuterie boards and grilled specialty sandwiches. The happy hour was good $10 cocktails and ~$8 happy hour glasses of wine. There was also happy hour food like $5 bread which I didn't get to try. The waiter seemed to be new, but he was accommodating. I asked him to close the door because of the draft & he did, brought out our happy hour drinks & gave us background when asked with a smile. I said he was new because at times we had to prompt him for information like the pop-up food menu, check-ins for status of the order & happy hour deals, but I could tell he was genuinely upbeat.

My brother forced me to hang out with him late Saturday night and I'm glad he did. This place is a vibe. Its a nice place to hang out with friends and its sexy enough for a date. The ambience, the drinks, food and service was a 10/10. I bumped into a friend who was in town from ATL and I joined her friends. We ordered a bunch of appetizers and drinks. I forgot to take pictures. I had a few thyme martinis and sampled the lychee martini. Both were really good and I left with a buzz. Drink prices were $13-18. The grilled cheese was so good. I needed the grease to soak up the liquor. The bread pudding with the berry compote was a perfect ending. You scan the barcode on the table for the menu. You can order and pay from your phone. My brother sat at bar and ordered there. Its relatively close to my house so I found a chill spot to hang out after work and late nights.

This is definitely a place to try! New wine bar in the neighborhood. Black Owned! My friends and I decided to dine here on a Saturday afternoon and I'm thrilled that we did. Small but beautifully decorated. There is outdoor seating around the building with a cool mural and flowers. Great if you want ti have a drink outside. There are a few tables indoors. They don't seem to take reservations, so if you have a larger party, I'd arrive early. HAPPY HOUR DAILY UNTIL 7 Drink Menu is extensive. As it is a wine bar, there are several wine options. But it doesn't end there. There's a large cocktail list as well that seems to have been carefully curated. LOVED the Hugo spritz and thyme martini! Food: not pictured is the chicken confit which is delicious, the grilled cheese with fig spread and caramelized onions was heavenly, the potatoes are a must, and the beet and goat cheese salad is light and tasty. The food options are lite bites but you can certainly make it a meal by ordering a lot. More so tapas style. Hope they add a few more options like a small pasta and possibly flat breads. Servers are very accommodating and there is a good crowd here. I will definitely be back!

We stopped by here after celebrating a whole blackity black weekend in honor of Juneteenth. When we arrived there was only one other patron there at the bar reading a book and sipping on Rosè. Air conditioning was at a crispy chill and was the perfect getaway from the weather outside. Service from the bartender waitress was amazing and she ensured that I enjoyed my meal and experience. It's local and I definitely will be back to try other cocktails and entrees. So SUPPORT this black owned business!

Yuka fries had an amazing crisp, the Brussel sprouts were good, could have been cooked longer and the Japanese chicken thighs were okay. Service was good. Everything I tried here was delicious! The owners are very kind and know the regulars. I'd love to try some wine from the store next door. The grillo I tried was my favorite, and all the small plates were tasty. I'd love to try the pasta (my favorite meal as a vegetarian), but the hummus and veggies and the bread and cheese definitely sufficed for a vegetarian meal with wine. Went to a Yelp Elite event here and honestly didn't expect to love it as much as I did. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The Franklin is this cozy little wine bar and kitchen that used to be a bodega -- owner Elliot totally transformed it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Everything's plant-based, which fits perfectly since it's World Vegan Month, and the food was so good you forget it's all vegetarian. We tried olives, salad, cheese, bread -- all simple but full of flavor. They focus on natural wines (about 85% of their list) and even offer plant-based wines. I started with the Franklin White (Grillo), which tasted like a funkier pinot grigio, then moved on to a rosé and a Grüner -- both super easy to drink. Kril was behind the bar and Nate Moises kept everyone smiling. My wife and I came here after work on a Friday for Happy Hour. We were greeted by a cheerful waiter and told to sit anywhere. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The inside was cosy but we decided to sit outside in the lovely garden-like outdoor front patio.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The menu isn't extensive but was clearly curated to do what it does well. Servings were perfect sized for a date - enough to satiate, not fill. We had the Franklin Spritz and Lychee Me cocktails. They were excellent and potent! We shared the Cacio e Pepe, which was rich, creamy and delicious. The pasta tasted hand-made and had a nice al dente bite. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I came here in the evening and this place is so cozy and classy! The place is dim lit with warm lightening at the bar and tables. I felt like the room was giving me a hug.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I am definitely going to be back for some girl dinner and wine. They also have a big selection of mocktails and all the food is entirely plant based and vegan - WHAT?! The cheese I had was so good that I thought it was a mistake! Nice restaurant. Probably the best restaurant experience I had in Brooklyn all weekend. Really great service at the Bar. I ordered the brown stew snapper-the fish was cooked perfectly. I didnt really taste any seasoning on the cabbage. The rum punch was heavy on the rum-it was great. Would definitely return. read more

This place is amazing. The ambiance, the setting and the most of all the people. I was there with a group of ladies on a Sunday. Raab made us amazing drinks and Demetrius was super attentive and welcoming. They made us feel good about spending our money there and were happy to answer our questions about wine and food options. During our conversation, we made suggestions for a sweet Lambrusco and more protein rich food options (I can drink more if I eat more). They were happy to hear our suggestions. They also made me laugh a lot during the conversation (I didnt expect that but i'm thanKful lol). The music that was playing perfectly transitioned and became upbeat as its became night. The crowd was diverse and had a good vibe. I live locally and will be back for the amazing drinks, but even more for the good vibes from the people who work there and overall dope atmosphere! read more

Cute and cozy black owned spot with a great natural wine list! Paul behind the bar was so attentive and knowledgeable about the wine selection. Would definitely bring someone here for a first date or if I was showing friends from out of town my favorite spots. I only had the cheese and meat plate, so I can't speak for the food really. This was a lovely spot. We stopped by for some girl time and drinks. It was a beautiful place from the outdoor seating to indoors. We opted for a table and were greeted warmly. Unfortunately the first two selections we requested from their menu we were told that they did not have including the Toscana. We ended up having the Rose and the Franklin red. I don't think anyone understands how amazing this place is. I've celebrated my birthday, Halloween, work joys, and many more at the Franklin! The bartenders are some of the most wonderful and sweet people I've ever met. The wine is TOP TIER!!!!!!! The happy hour is to die for. And don't even get me started on the bread and butter. The food is incredible !!! 10/10. My favorite place in my neighborhood and will go here every week forever. I love you guys!! read more

Impeccable service, the Owner is a Class Act and fun fact adjacent to their sister wine shop, Franklin Cellars. I love this place! They are so nice and the vibes are chill. They have delicious food here. Their grilled cheese and fingerling potatoes is my go to but I also sometimes get the chicken which is so tender on the inside and crispy on the outside! Their bread pudding is amazing as well. Service is always great and my only complaint is that I wish they didn't have such an awkward entrance, it's a deep step you have to go up and not the most ADA friendly. read more

The service is mid, for a wine bar. Don't expect a knowledgeable wine sommelier. It's a wine bar with dive bar type service. Me and my date wanted to sit at a four top but the bartender was gatekeeping them for non-existent patrons. The seats sat empty all night. It's much smaller than pictured and some of the items on the menu weren't even available. It was our first time going but definitely the last time. I still tipped 20% because the wine was decent but I could just get it from a wine store, in the future. read more

Be sure to make a reservation, as this spot is popular, especially on a nice weekend. We recently had a weekend brunch at one of the tables outside. Everything on the menu sounded good, but we decided on a couple of their specials. Started with the razor clams, which were cooked perfectly and topped with fresh herbs. We also had the fried soft shell crab sandwich with the side of Caesar salad. The sandwich was well balanced with the crunchy crab and herby aioli. The Caesar was light and refreshing. The fish and chips came with two fried filets of white fish and a basket of classic fries. The fish was lightly battered and flakey. The house made tartar sauce was a good complement to it. One of my top meals this year so far! Perfect summer meal!

Their HH deals are pretty solid -- $2 East Coast Oysters, $10 select wines and $6 beer special. Grabbed a glass of Sauvignon Blanc as I waited for my friend to arrive, which they were very patient and accommodating for. As soon as my friend arrived, we ordered a 1/2 dozen West Coast oysters, which were not on the happy hour menu, and several dozens of the HH East Coast oysters. Our server did an excellent job explaining the origin of the oysters as well as the specials of the day. The West Coast oysters were Kumamoto (California), while the East Coast selection were called Bad Boys (from Nova Scotia, Canada). Normally I'm a big fan of West coast oysters, but the Bad Boys were delicious! They were plump with a bold ocean brine & crisp finish. My friend also ordered a cup of clam chowder, which he thoroughly enjoyed. One of the best oyster HH spots I've come across, because it seems to be harder finding good ones lately. Would definitely come back to try the other seafood dishes.
