Meeting with family from the Northern part of Maine who invited us to Foresters. Who knew Lincoln Maine would have such a beautiful space! I've not explored this area so was pleasantly surprised to see more then a convenience store. The place has ample parking and clear signage. Meet our group outside and were escorted to our table quickly. We were set up in a back room with a table set up for the 12 of us. Once all settled in our drink order was taken and specials explained. Lots a talking and catching up. Drinks arrived in a timely manner and then food orders given. I ordered the Fish tacos with a salad instead of fries. Hubby has the bacon cheese burger, and son had shrimp scampi and Bang Bang Shrimp. Food came out hot and delicious. Everyone enjoyed their meal. No room for dessert so we finished our food, got to-go boxes and out to the fire pit area for continued conversations. A friend from Boston came to town for the weekend. She enjoyed the flatbread. The tacos were good - normally, the fish is fried. It is always refreshing when the chef will adjust fried to grilled. Stopped for dinner on my way to Vanceboro. The food was fine(I got chicken tenders), and the menu was exactly what you'd expect. My server was super nice and really attentive. It was really really well lit for an 8pm dinner but to each their own. Reasonable tap list, standard menu. Really reasonably priced. Nothing really that special but if youre in Lincoln you really cant be choosy and this place got me food and beer so I was appreciative. read more

Smells upon entry. Had Buffalo Chicken Mac n Cheese. Served luke warm. It was like eating spackle. Hard pressed to find chicken. Brought home to possibly doctor it up and make it edible. Table sticky. Service substandard. Not a fan! read more

Stopped here for lunch while on a work trip, and it was really good! Elevated pub food! I had the steak & cheese and fries. Everyone I had lunch with said they have never had a bad meal here. Chicken was over cooked in the ceasar salad, could not even finish the chicken. Asked for pulled chicken on my taco salad, and ended up getting just the ends of chicken tenders and over two thirds of them were grisle and inedible. Unimpressed to say the least . read more

While visiting the area we stumbled upon this pub which seemed to have everything we were looking for. Our waitress was so nice and the food was absolutely delicious. We started with an order of the fried pickles which were so crispy. They had a nice selection of beers on draft and the margarita was surprisingly tasteful too. Would recommend the wings and tenders, they were both really good too. All around a great experience and would definitely recommend to anyone visiting Lincoln! read more

Great spot, staff is always friendly and food is tasty. Pretzel bites and beer cheese app special was yummy. Best beer cheese I've ever had. Taco salad was fresh, the crispy bowl really made the salad a 10/10. Chicken tenders and forester fries were a great combo. Generous portion of tenders. I def would recommend. read more

Ask. If you want something done a certain way, just ask them. These guys balance the special strength of being laid back, but not listless. They're super quick to accommodate & make everything just right, even if rush hour causes a side order to miss coming out. Keep it up guys! Fiddlehead salad special (fresh seasonal) was OUTSTANDING! I was so excited to try this place, but am disappointed after eating there. Service was extremely slow. Ordered drinks, then a few minutes later we ordered our appetizers.10 minutes later, our appetizers came, but still no drink, we had to ask again. Our meals were just off. I had a burger, it wasn't horrible, but it wasn't good. My wife had the fish and chips and there was something in the breading we really disliked. They also didn't have malt vinegar to go with the fish. My son had the chicken tenders, again, they were ok, but not really good. Had a frozen/reheated taste and texture. Overall, sub-par food, slow service, and overpriced. We won't be coming back. read more

Two of his oldest ( in years known) friends David (Left) and Sandy (Right) came up to Lincoln Maine and met him at "The Forester Pub" for a leisurely lunch. Even though they email and text each other frequently, they managed to fill 2 1/2 hours with good conversation, good food, and a toast of "Old Forester" bourbon too. The manager at the Pub, "Katie" was so cooperative and fulfilled a request by Bob to have a "Happy 50th" cake, which was delicious. She went the extra mile, and obtained it offsite since they don't have a bakery. Sarah the waitperson was awesome too. Thanks all. Bob doesn't need cake so he suggested Dave take it home to his granddaughters and daughters/sons in law to enjoy. They all bought hats proclaiming "Forester" on them too. They all went to U. I had lunch there with two other college pals. We were Forestry majors about 50 years ago and we get together once or twice a year to talk about the good old days. Turns out the food was great, and the service was superb. We had a simple lunch: burgers (cooked to our specifications) and delicious onion rings after indulging in the nachos. Oh, and two good craft beers. Our server, Sarah, and she couldn't have been more responsive. Likewise, the manager brought us a cake that she'd purchased from Hannafords on her own, just to make our occasion complete. Clean, nice restaurant. Strongly recommend. read more

I'm so glad this restaurant operates during COVID. They have the best food and are always so friendly. They made sure our drinks were refilled and that we were content with our food. I have never had either of these items from a restaurant. I did not expect "mozzarella sticks" to be giant wedges! They were amazing and had a cool cheese pull with them! The kielbasa was even better! The sauce really completed the dish. Will definitely be coming back soon! read more

Decided to check this place out on a limb and was very surprised. It is pub food, but that's what you expect when you go to a pub, but I did the expect the food to be as good as it was. The Poutine was a highlight, will definitely be coming back when I'm in the area. read more

Slow. Waitress was inattentive. Restaurant was not busy so don't understand why so slow. Kids pizza is just a frozen pizza.

We were there on taco Tuesday. The $5 margaritas were delicious, although they were a little slow to arrive. The steak quesadilla was excellent, and so were the wings. My husband had a taco salad, it was delicious, the taco shell bowl is hand made and perfectly crispy, which is the most important part. However the Mac and cheese was not prepared the way it was described on the menu (a different type of cheese was used) and the chicken in it was bone dry and hard to chew. If I picked around the chicken the rest was still tasty but I was disappointed in that one dish. Wait staff were all friendly but they should know what beers are on tap that night before they open- write it in their pad or something.
