Haddock nuggets! Loved them!
Kate P.

Stopped here twice in two days while taking a neccessary trip up to northern Maine with my dad. On the outside it looks like a regular gas station but dont judge this place by what you see. Inside a door takes you into the 95er diner. A very casual place, clean, with plenty of seating and super friendly staff. Our waitress took our drink orders and waited patiently for me to order my food. She even helped me with my decision. They have a good sized menu and I'd love to try the breakfast sometime as I've heard it's great. The first day I had chicken fingers. These are not frozen fried chicken. They are fresh, thin, crispy and perfectly cooked pieces of chicken. They were not a bit greasy and tasted delicious! They even have honey, my favorite chicken tender dip! Dad had beans and hot dogs. The rolls here are so good we asked for extras! The next day we had the same waitress. I had the haddock nuggets. The haddock is also fresh, not frozen. They have just fried haddock as well as the nuggets. Both are the same size. I chose nuggets because I like the smaller pieces. Everything was cooked perfectly. The fish was so good and the tartar sauce was very good, too. Dad had meatloaf which was huge and he said very good. I couldn't pick a favorite out of these two as both were amazing. Its probably for the best it's so many hours away. My only regret was that I was to full for dessert.

Completed uncooked and raw

I discovered a little hidden gem today... The Montague Public House is a nice little restaurant…read morewith friendly, helpful staff and great food in Enfield which is just a stone's throw from Lincoln. As an added bonus, it doubles as a great watering hole with weekly live events in the evening. Who knew?!?! For this first visit, I ordered off both the introductory brunch menu and the regular menu: a Blueberry Mimosa, a Blueberry Bacon Burger and a fresh Blueberry Muffin to take home. The mimosa and burger were absolutely delicious! The burger came with a side of huge french fries with big, yummy flecks of salt and a huge pickle spear. (Now, some may be turned off at the thought of blueberries on a burger but... just give it a try. It was very summer-y and verrrry refreshing!) And the server didn't bat an eye when I asked for my burger to be well done. (I know it's not a popular opinion but that's just how I am.) Speaking of which, I had the pleasure of being served by Amber who was a really great server. She was not only friendly but also very helpful in pointing out other local attractions that I might be interested in. She also informed me that Montague also periodically offers pre-ordered family-style food prep meals for purchase. Amber also introduced me to Brookelyn who runs The Montague. Brookelyn was also very well-versed in many local attractions and was truly happy to share some really great things they are working on... I don't want to spoil any surprises but I will share two quick teasers: 1) they're close to adding Sunday Brunch starting at 11am, and 2) they're in the process of building a great outdoor patio/deck space. Yay!! So make sure to keep an eye on their Facebook and Instagram pages to be in-the-know about the weekly live events, how to pre-order family-style food prep meals at The Montague Public House and some new, cool things that are in-the-works! See you soon, Montague... I'm gonna go dig into that incredible-looking blueberry muffin, now.

Excellent find. Fantastic meal. Heck of a good time…read more Lots of beers and booze to choose from nestled in all warm and cozy in the eclectic environment of Bar Harbor, ME. I had the burger special which was fucking fantastic! I was getting pretty tired of seafood at this point and it was the most refreshing change of pace. It was one of those just in time food experiences. C went for the crab cakes. What a gorgeous version of crab cakes they were! Fancy pants presentation and all things considered some of the best crab cakes we had on our trip. Bartender was really friendly and was super proud of their whiskey/bourbon collection. He did point out a few bottles to us that were really quite special and hard to come across. They had some Penelope variants that were unseen to me. I would come back in a heartbeat. If I lived nearby, I would be here all of the time. There were a ton of interesting menu items I would like to try. '26 - 26

I had the scallop street corn dish with seared scallops in a dish of homemade creamed corn which I recommend. I've not explored this area so was pleasantly surprised to see more then a convenience store. The place has ample parking and clear signage. Meet our group outside and were escorted to our table quickly. We were set up in a back room with a table set up for the 12 of us. Once all settled in our drink order was taken and specials explained. Lots a talking and catching up. Drinks arrived in a timely manner and then food orders given. I ordered the Fish tacos with a salad instead of fries. Hubby has the bacon cheese burger, and son had shrimp scampi and Bang Bang Shrimp. Food came out hot and delicious. Everyone enjoyed their meal. No room for dessert so we finished our food, got to-go boxes and out to the fire pit area for continued conversations. Definitely enjoyed our time here and would come back if invited again.
