    Breakfast sandwich and hash browns

This is a restaurant in a gas station.. that doesn't make it a bad thing. Because of Covid restrictions there is limited seating and they do have take out. There's a big menu and there's homemade breads and biscuits. Coffee is hot and fresh and the good sign is local folks eat here. Service is great and swift. I ordered an omelette which came with homemade toast. Hubby picked up the breakfast sandwich which he loved. Homemade, fresh and good.. key words for a breakfast place!

Brenda's is a good place to stop for a homecooked meal between Bangor and Houlton. Located inside of Kelly's Shell (off I-95 Exit 264), Brenda's Restaurant is a small old school family diner serving homecooked breakfast, lunch, and dinner (dine-in or takeout) 7 days a week. The dining room has several tables and counter seating. The breakfast offerings include eggs, omelets, pancakes, French toast, and breakfast sandwiches, all come with coffee, plus breakfast sides, hash, cereal, and muffins. The lunch/dinner offerings include sandwiches, subs, burgers, hot dogs, salads, chicken tenders, fried foods, poutine, comfort dishes (sirloin strip, pork chops, hamburg steak, liver & onions, meatloaf, spaghetti & meatballs, haddock, fried clams, sea scallops), pizzas (10" & 16") and desserts (pies, pudding, cobbler). Daily specials are posted on the board near the kitchen, The prices here seem reasonable, most items and entrees under $10 with a few over $10 (seafood & steaks). While driving on I-95 on a Saturday night, I decided to stop off for a dinner break in Sherman and had dinner at Brenda's Restaurant. The place was not that busy and the local regulars were already seated in the dining room eating their dinners. I sat myself at an open table and a waitress gave me a menu to look at. I ordered the Spaghetti & Meatballs Dinner ($9.25 plus tax) served with a mini salad and garlic bread, The mini salad had chopped romaine lettuce, tomatoes, cucumber with a packet of Ken's salad dressing on the side. The garlic bread (sliced sub roll) was buttered, seasoned & toasted. The entree had a good portion of soft spaghetti topped with a generous amount of thick hearty meatsauce which had a mix of pepperoni, chunky tomatoes, onions, and soft pieces of meatballs. This was definitely enough food for dinner and I passed on dessert. The check total before tip was $9.99. Overall, the food I had tasted pretty good, nothing fancy though, just a homecooked pasta dinner. The service was pretty laid back here, as the food arrived in 12 minutes (salad & bread) and 17 minutes (entree) after ordering. The older waitress was friendly, service with a smile.

Brenda's is my go to for lunch on the weekdays off. Everything is good. Waitresses are attentive always. Service is quick even when busy.

Great food and service for a low price. They also sell Maine maple syrup and maple moose pops. Yummy!

Great food and great prices. Quick service. Great people. Simple menu but good enough variety. Graham cracker pudding pie is excellent.
